i NEED it to be remembered that Franklin is not just an annoying man he’s an annoying BRITISH RICH man. his idea of a ‘long drive’ is two hours. he’s not eating petrol station snacks or fast food, he doesn’t understand why you can’t stop at little country pubs for proper meals. he won’t stop telling you about how he was unfairly fired from the job he was bad at unless you put bbc radio four on, and every time you try and listen to music he turns it down. he WANTS to listen to the shipping forecast. he needs to piss every hour and won’t do it by the side of the road.

like des voeux is awful but at least you can fill the time with an argument about who should have the aux or blast some fall out boy at top volume to drown it out, or give him a book to read. franklin just won’t stop talking unless he’s listening to another old man talk on bbc fucking radio four.
