Working on that snatch. Need to that hop and wobble
Hard work is paying off. Started following the Invictus Competition late spring and have seen some awesome improvements in my lifts. Having spent a couple of years stuck at 120lb snatch, seeing continual improvement over just a few months is awesome. Hitting 150 today felt amazing. Can officially say I can snatch my body weight! Couldn't have done it without my wonderful lifting partner and a supportive gym.
women in professional sports is mad crucial to girls. not just for girls who play sports but any girls surrounded by a world telling them they have to be pretty and quiet and polite in order to have value. seeing women getting gritty and sweaty and working hard and fighting with every bone in their body to work as a team with other women and gaining international success from those non-feminized strengths. seeing women who are great because they are human and work hard. seeing women working together. seeing women on opposing teams still treating each other with respect. man, women in sports is so crucial.
