surviving a zombie apocalypse is literally an event they deal with in canon

absolutely! they've dealt with worse things

while they've dealt with worse, they might not be prepared to survive this

they're no hardened survivalist but they're definitely determined enough to live

they'd just barely get by but would at least avoid getting bit

they're the kind of person who gets bit but doesn't tell anyone

they're so smart they'd find a cure within mere days of the outbreak

they're so smart they probably made the virus that started the damn thing

no way, they're zombie food day one

Solving a plot problem in the story that I'm daydreaming up just for fun feels like an accomplishment, until I remember that this is on the same level as Arthur Shappey going, "I'm the one who thought of putting an otter in the fridge!"

Which is why I've started calling these "otter in the fridge" problems. I have an entirely hypothetical scenario that I'm trying to solve, and coming up with a solution is intellectually and emotionally satisfying, but that solution doesn't have any actual effect on the world, so make sure you're also accomplishing things that matter.

Felt like I was in a Cabin Pressure episode recently at a quiz night, and the question was to name the 7 Dwarfs and I stuck on 6 and trying to remember the last one. Even better, someone on another other team wrote “Horny” for one of them 😂 Naughty, Captain.
