Here are some ombre skull luminaries I made for the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market next month!
I finished another mixed media finger flower piece. This time some of the flowers are raised off of the canvas along with curling the leaves. I love the depth in it. Much more obvious in person of course.
Having a super talented and awesome best friend and soul mate who does hair sometimes means you look like a mermaid. Not that I'm complaining or anything
I've happily been making more luminaries since I've been on summer break. Loving the color combos I've been experimenting with!
Here is a piece that I recently finished and had on display in a 24 hour art exhibit known as Art All Night. I absolutely love drawing and creating finger flowers. Lots more of them in my future.
My view when I'm working. Messy artist. Tattooed legs.
Progression of a canvas part 1. Started a new mixed media piece today. Blank, after a wash of paints, and then after layering some tissue paper. Still need to splash some paint and drip all over it before I add anything to it. I love mixed media and colors. Really enjoying this piece so far.
Take the time to click a few links and like the tattoo shop that my husband and I own. We've been busting our butts since December to completely renovate and reopen the shop and now we're able to start phase 2 of renovations. My husband Eric is an amazing award winning tattoo artist, his work is phenomenal. I'm so happy that it's finally nice out so I can wear shorts and become a walking billboard again.
Made these lovelies for Mother's Day tomorrow! On the left we have chocolate chip coconut cheesecake bites and on the right we have some S' mores cups that still need some chocolate on top. Really looking forward to seeing my Mama and brothers tomorrow and going bowling and having fun like we did when we were little kids!
Tattooed legs at my tattoo shop. It's a good day.
I've been making centerpiece for a wedding! I was commissioned a while ago and the wedding is next weekend so I've been putting it all together. I'm very pleased with my work and can't wait for the bride to pick it up on Sunday! Even more excited to hear how the wedding goes and everyone's reaction!
Mason jar luminaries at various stages of drying for the craft fair next week. I love the teal and fuchsia glitter paint. Possibly my 2 new favorite colors I've used also tried making ombre jars. Silver to lime green and silver to fuschia. They're taking forever to dry because I have to be really careful how they lay so the colors don't mix too much. Hopefully theyre worth all the trouble!!
I started making bottle cap magnets recently. My husband gave me the idea to write words in them after writing a few serious ones I started getting silly. Just have to fill them and let them sit overnight. Hopefully people at the craft fair likes them!
Made some luminaries this morning for the craft fair flea market I'll be vending at next month. Super happy with how these came out perfect for the spring!
For the first time ever next month I'm going to be a vendor at a craft fair/flea market. I'm very excited and nervous about this! In preparation I'm making more Mason jar luminaries to bring to sell. I wish I had just a litttttle more time to prep but oh well I know the guy running it so I figured what the hell!
I've been so busy helping my husband with and at the tattoo shop that it's been a minute since I've had some free time to draw for myself. I just started some finger flowers for a new mixed media piece. It's been a little while so I'm looking forward to it. I've been drawing them in my down time from answering phones and making appointments. Looking forward to doing a background so I can start putting it all together.
I saw this on someone else's fb and immediately stole the idea. I don't even care if it's March when I'm starting it. The concept of the jar is that throughout the year you put memories in it. Dates of something big, movie tickets, a receipt to a fancy dinner, things like that. Then on NYE you open it and read them. I love the idea because when I got married my husband and I made a time capsule for our guest book and had everyone write letters to us about how they met us, advice for marriage, cute things and we read them together on our first anniversary. I'm such a sap so I love ideas like this a lot. I can't wait to show my husband because fourteen is our number and so far this is a big year for us, I only wish I started it on January 1st! I was able to put a few dates and things down but can't wait to keep it going!
