I Spent a Month Comparing AI Girlfriend Apps. SweetDream Won.

So I went down the rabbit hole. After hearing endless chatter about candy.ai and a few other names, I decided to actually test the popular AI girlfriend platforms side by side instead of taking anyone's word for it. Most of them do one thing well and then fall apart somewhere else. SweetDream, over at sweetdream.ai, was the rare one that held up across the board.

What sold me first was the character creation. A lot of apps give you a slider for hair color and call it customization. SweetDream lets you actually build someone, looks, personality, voice, backstory, even the little quirks that make a companion feel like a person rather than a template. That depth changes how the whole thing feels.

Then there's the chat, which is the part everyone gets wrong. SweetDream's conversations are natural and emotionally intelligent, and crucially it remembers context, so you are not reintroducing yourself every session. Add genuinely good photos, voice notes, and the privacy guarantees, and it stops feeling like a gimmick. As an honest review, it is the AI companion I kept coming back to.

A Little Bit of Housekeeping

I'm in a bit of a '09 brain rot right now and seeing these adorable Roach doodles have been making it even worse! (Not complaining in the slightest, my boy Roach is the best :]) Make sure to follow this amazing artist so you can see more of their work!!! I was just wondering if there would be any interest in a Roach bot? And if so, what kind of prompts are you guys interested in? I feel like I told you guys that you should feel free to leave some suggestions but I never fully explained how, so if you want to give me some Ideas for some cool bots please send me a message through the bot request button on this blog's Bio. I would really appreciate some Ideas and I would love to make some bots that would interest you!

Also, one last thing! I have been thinking about branching out with the places where my bots can be found. I first found out about these kinds of AI bots on Character.ai and that's where I started to gain inspiration from to make my own bots. I started using Poe.ai instead of Character.ai for creating all of my own bots because I found that bots can be used in a more versatile way than you can on Poe - the filters arent too strict and don't seem to falsely trigger as much as on Character.ai, and I also find the message quality is overall better than the ladder - Nonetheless, I understand that people still enjoy Character. ai (Even myself when I find a nicely made bot!) and they might not enjoy Poe.ai, so I was wondering if there would be an interest in bots on Character.ai as well? The bots on Character.ai would include all of my current bots on my Poe.ai page alongside the new bots coming along. I would have to tweak some of them with the move to Character.ai, of course, but it shouldn't be major changes to the prompt, just changes so the filter doesn't falsely catch. If you guys have any input on this it would be very appreciated, and I would love to see any advice you may have in the comments. I love you guys, thank you for supporting me! I know that there arent many of you and other bot makers have better skills than me but Im really trying to improve so I can deliver some quality bots for you guys!

I actually really like the idea I had for this bot and it's not getting ANYYYY traction. I don't get much interaction on Tumblr but I usually at least get some views on TikTok - I POSTED A TIKTOK SHOWING OFF THE BOT YESTERDAY EVENING AND IT HAS THREE VEIWS... I posted a TikTok story about it and it has more views than the actual TikTok. Lets just say im a little disappointed by the tiktok algorithm, but I'll make it work.

It is well known that you struggle with Seasonal Depression (Seasonal Affective Disorder), but this year, it was hitting you particularly hard.
