I know I said I wouldn’t do any Marvel based posts after Mr. Ditko passed away, but this has to be known. This has to be shared. If only for Stan Lee’s sake. I cannot believe how horrible people can be. And to hear his own daughter is treating him so shabilly. This breaks my heart.

Anyone who claims to be a real Marvel fan will reblog this on all social media platforms. And you’ll write to the actors of the Marvel movies to help us also. It seems like only the actors and us, the fans, are the ones who really care about Mr. Lee anymore. Please guys. We have to help him. NOW.

Stan Lee is a hero to a lot of us. It’s time that we be a hero for him. And even if you don’t like Marvel, anyone who doesn’t tolerate elder abuse should help!

Stan Lee created Marvel Comics.

Stan Lee changed the world of entertainment as we know it by diverging from the norm and encouraging the acceptance of those who are different (X-Men mutants in 1963).

Stan Lee, at the age of 95, is giving up on life because everyone close to him is depending upon him like vultures.

Please please please reblog this. Maybe someone with influence can help him. Maybe the state will step in if enough people but them about it. Maybe we can make Stan’s twilight years enjoyable instead of the hell he’s going through.

As of July 4th 2018, the Internet as we know it might be dead for good. 

The European Parliament is passing a new Copyright Directive.  Article 13 #CensorshipMachine will impose widespread censorship of all the content we share online. Art, fanfiction, parodies, remixes, mashups, memes, etc.. Anything that you do not hold the rights over will be taken down. 

Article 13 would force all online platforms to police and prevent the uploading of copyrighted content, or make people seek the correct licenses to post that content. Internet platforms hosting large amounts of user-uploaded content must monitor user behaviour and filter their contributions to identify and prevent copyright infringement. 

Such filters will be mandatory for platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, Reddit and Instagram, but also much smaller websites.

This doesn’t just affect Europe. The content creators you love are going to be in hot water for sharing their art and writing with you online. Any and all content that doesn’t belong to us will be filtered. Even memes are at risk, as the person who took the original photo may want to file complaints against any platform that allows it to be used without permission. But it goes even further than that.

Last Tuesday (19th June 2018) a group of more than 70 people who have played important roles in building the internet and developing it (Tim Berners-Lee, Vincent Cerf, Jimmy Wales, Mitchell Baker…) into what it is today addressed an open letter to the members of the European Parliament:

“As creators ourselves, we share the concern that there should be a fair distribution of revenues from the online use of copyright works, that benefits creators, publishers, and platforms alike.

But Article 13 is not the right way to achieve this. By requiring Internet platforms to perform automatic filtering all of the content that their users upload, Article 13 takes an unprecedented step towards the transformation of the Internet from an open platform for sharing and innovation, into a tool for the automated surveillance and control of its users. […] The damage that this may do to the free and open Internet as we know it is hard to predict, but in our opinions could be substantial.”

A/N: I haven’t wrote a one shot in a while, and so here we are. I highly suggest listening to Tequila by Dan + Shay as you are reading it. It’s slightly based off that song. I might….might turn this into a series I can see how this could possibly work, and how I could expand on everything so much more and fill in the blanks for you guys. Let me know what you guys think. Rain pelted against your windshield as you turned down the familiar gravel road—the road that you hadn’t been down since last month. The road that you had sworn that you would never go down after everything that happened a year. A road that held too many painful memories of the last year on them, and yet—here you were driving down it again after telling yourself that you would stop last month.

The tires were bumping against the wet gravel as you tried slowing down the speed of the car. Your eyes were focused on the on the grey skyline that met the grey gravel as you tried to stop the tears that were forming in your eyes from falling down your cheek. A bottle of tequila and a box of peanut M&M’s sat beside your in the passenger seat, and you had one hand gently over them to keep them from falling onto the floorboard below.

I’m Always Coming Back

Leaving is always hard.

Goodbye are hard

and you should be used to it by now

you knew Tom’s filming schedule 

like the back of your hand

but that still didn’t make things any easier

when he had to leave

the two of spending the last night together

cuddled up in bed

your head resting on his chest

legs tangled up together

his fingers dancing along your bare shoulder

your tears falling onto his chest

cause as much as you should have been use to it by now

you weren’t

every single time was harder than the time before

and Tom would promise you 

that it would be just the two of you for a couple of weeks

whenever he got back

but it still hurt

Tom would wrap you up in his arms

hold you close to his chest

pepper kisses all over you face

mutter “I love you”

it would content your broken heart

as the two of you slept 

in each others arms

and he would remind you that you would see him soon

he would write it down on the calendar

that one that you would draw an X on 

as each day passed

and it should have been enough

but it still wouldn’t prepare for the airport

and when he would squeeze you as tightly as he could

your head resting in the crook of his neck

trying to hold back your tears

his fingers resting at the end of your neck

gently running along it

sending cold chills down your back

before he would tilt your head to look up at him

and you could see the tears in his eyes

as his lips crashed against yours

the heartache and the lust in the kiss

would send you into a crying fight

and Tom would tell you that it would only be a couple of weeks

before he let go and walked away

he would always tell

“I’m always coming back to you.”

The door to Tom’s room was slightly cracked open, and your eyebrows snapped together as you had remembered closing the door when you left earlier in the day. Harrison hadn’t been in to see Tom since yesterday, and the two of you had a deal about who would go see Tom and who would stay behind to keep Caroline from crossing that yellow line. The whole point of the yellow line now was to protect her, protect Caroline from seeing Tom so broken, and to protect her from having that imagine that would be drilled into her memory at such a young age, and stay with her for the rest of her life.

Your hand froze on the doorknob as all your fears came rushing into your mind. The ones where someone had snuck in, even with your dad’s best men on high alert around the house and Tom’s room, and had finally killed Tom. The ones that he had died in his sleep with no one next to him, no one to remind him to fight every single second that he wasn’t awake. The one where he had woke up and didn’t know where he was, or what had happened to him. The one where Tom couldn’t remember who Caroline was or why she was so attached to him that, and that was the one that hurt your heart the most.

Nothing prepared you for the worse one that you had hoped wouldn’t happen.

Don’t Go {T.H.}

Sometimes Tom is extra needy and clingy. 

There were a handful of times that Tom

was extra clingy

needy

and it normally happened after he came home

from weeks and weeks of filming

all he would want to do was stay in bed

or lay on the couch

he would constantly 

remind you “don’t go”

when you tried to get up

cause all her wanted was to 

have you in his arms

that way he could feel the warmth

that radiated off you

and seeped into him

the warmth spreading through both of you

that you would have to eventually lose the blanket 

that you had wrapped up in

and Tom would have to eventually lose

his shirt that he had on

cause that’s how much heat that boy puts off

Tom always missed you so much

when he was away

for filming

for press tours

for interviews

it wasn’t the same as having you there with him

if he would come home 

and you were asleep

he would sneak into the bedroom

making sure to not wake up you or Tessa

change clothes

and crawl into the bed

his arms around automatically wrap themselves around your waist

and he would pull you close to his chest

leaving little sweet kisses along your neck

jawline

until you were forced to wake up

and roll over and face him

he would have this goofy grin on his face

but behind his eyes were love

and sadness

sadness from missing you so damn much

Tom would just stare into your eyes

tears filling his

and he swore that he wasn’t leaving again

of course you laughed at this

but he would try to play it off like he was serious

as the night went on

he would hold you close to his chest

fingers played with your hair

and when you tried to get up in the morning

his hands would find your waist again

pull you back down on top of him

“No, today is for you and me,” he would whisper

and you melt at his touch

cause you knew that you weren’t leaving this bed

for the next 24 hours.
