When I read this I thought that Laurent was kinda right. It’s actually a really good quote in my opinion.

Then I read that Damen quoted Laurent and I thought how cute that was. It made me really happy. But just two lines later came this...

“I wish someone had been stronger than you”

It broke my heart, really think about it:

The “someone” who could have been stronger than Damen was Auguste. If Auguste was stronger than Damen, he may be still alive. And in one way I really wish Auguste being alive. He could have protected Laurent. Laurent would have had a happy childhood...

But on the other hand, if Auguste was stronger than Damen, Damen would be the one who died at Marlas and that is not acceptable...

So either way someone dies who doesn’t deserve it...
