Elliot: Snordlesnot.
Athene: We’ve got to work on your cursing.
Elliot: Why? I’m pretty good at cursing already.
Random one of Hypnos’ security guards: Man, I only ever see you awake, do you ever shut down or stop running?
Hypnos: Oh, I’m always running
Hypnos: The question is from what
Elliot: I think I’m having a mid-life crisis.
Josie: Elly, you’re only 6 years old.
Elliot: I MIGHT DIE AT 12!
Hermes: I know Kung Fu!
Nyx, raising the hydra bow:I know Shooting People In The Face.
Aster: Can we normalize wearing sunglasses indoors?
Hermes: I mean I’d be happy to, but why?
Aster: So I never have to make eye contact again.
Hermes:
Virgo: Sorry for intruding, but--
Elliot: On my house, my cow shed or just my life in general?
Hermes, texting Athene: There is no i in happyness…
Athene: There is if you flipping spell it right.
Do you think when Hermes sees Elliot in Oh Maya Gods he suddenly became horribly aware of the fact Elliot is mortal. It hasn’t been long for Hermes at all but Elliot, the twelve year old he protected and helped saved the world is now a middle aged man with a child of his own. Hermes says he’s ‘rocking the silver fox look’. Elliot is greying. Hermes has grown so close with that boy and now has already half way through his life. He’s an adult. Hermes has to confront that horrible truth that the gods will have to say goodbye to Elliot for the last time, before they’re ready. They will never be ready.
But mortality is a flickering flame in a storm, lighting up the world for a single moment, allowing you to see the pounding rain as flecks of gold, the raging clouds dispersing and vanishing in the face of the blazing, burning light. And then it’s gone. And the storm rages on as though the flame was never there. But you can remember how the storm looked by it’s light, changed for only one second and now you will never see it the same way again.
Virgo: it's so nice of you to let Hypnos win that game of chess, since his dad probably never let him win anything
Athene, still wondering how Hypnos managed to beat her so casually and quickly: haha, yeah, nice is my middle name
Elliot: Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you’ll be off this awful planet
Virgo: Truly inspirational
