If this isn’t cult behavior I don’t know what is. To qualify as a “terf” all you have to believe is biological sex is a real thing, that trans women are biological males, and that biological females deserve spaces free of biological males, because of patriarchy.
You can believe no trans woman should ever be subjected to violence, that no one should be allowed to fire/not hire a trans person because of their identity, that trans women are subjected to male violence often, but it doesn’t matter to them, because if you think females deserve boundaries, you are a terf, and you are not to be listened to.

While continued vigilance a regulation is needed, this data indicates that regulations are working to reduce PFAS concentrations in marine ecosystems.
Yes!!!! I did a review of literature on PFASs in human drinking water about half a year ago, and there is a lot of really good progress! Please celebrate this, please don't let this solution be forgotten (at least so quickly) as the ozone layer or acid rain.
We are making genuine progress! Producers are dramatically altering how much they use PFAS and how much gets released in effluent, but also there's a lot better understanding of how to remove PFAS from the environment!
Environmental problems CAN BE SOLVED.
Went into a victorias secrets today and it was so dystopian. I needed some underwear—which I’d typically buy online— but I happened to be close to the mall. And I didn’t realize it until then, VS is SO targeted at teenage girls. The scents were like “laffy taffy” and cutesy underwear and bubblegum pink “babydoll” slips but it’s supposed to be a lingerie store.
And I felt almost old there given all the barely teenagers shopping there. Not even just pink either like the whole store felt like a casual grooming. And when I thought about it, I used to love VS as a teenager.
And I looked around at the products and felt like the whole place was carcinogenic on top of everything. It’s been shown most scented items and cosmetics have PFAS in them. We’re lead to believe shopping there is some kind of self care, but it’s just spending money for self objectification and exposure to PFAS.
I ended up not buying anything anyway bc they lacked cotton underwear.

Thinking about how people say we shouldn't tell women the horrors of childbirth because it'll scare them and discourage them from having children and well, isn't that just arguing against informed consent?
Fascinating how ingrained it is that women shouldn't warn each other about negative experiences with pregnancy and childbirth, to the point where most comments/reblogs maliciously misinterpreted "tell women the horrors of childbirth" as specifically meaning "tell pregnant women exaggerated gruesome stories to scare them". The whole point of "informed consent" is to warn women before they get pregnant. If a woman is hearing "scary stories" (accounts of actual women's experiences) for the first time when she's 5 months along, something has gone wrong.
There's also a lot of full-on tradwife type responses, people talking about how women's bodies are "made for" childbirth, how it's "natural" and that means talking about side-effects is an insult to our "inner strength", or conversly how medical science is so advanced now that side effects/mortality are basically a non-issue (never mind the rates of urinary incontinence after givjng birth). Some bring up certain side effects being preventable, as if there's a real way to guarantee you'll have a medical team that actually bothers to prevent them. There's also the argument that childbirth being common means it's safe.
Ultimately the contradictory mess of arguments all stem from the same fact: it's taboo to warn women about the effects of pregnancy and childbirth. It's taboo for women to talk to each other about our own experiences, especially if those experiences contradict social narratives about our "purpose".
I think it’s also important to talk about because if women think birth is easy and natural (it’s natural but not easy) they might believe they are equipped to do it at home without medical intervention.
When, in fact, deaths rates during birth have only lowered BECAUSE of medical intervention. So many things can kill you during birth. If not for medical intervention, my mother and sister would’ve both died from pregnancy/birth. We need help birthing and there are a lot of things that can go wrong and maybe it’d help to be mentally prepared that there are things that could happen and that being within reach of doctors is helpful for women and their babies.
Do I think we should make pregnant women more scared or anxious about birth? No, but they should know going into pregnancy there are risks

A woman’s opinion on gender, on her own gender and her own boundaries of sex segregated spaces, if openly shared on many platforms will be banned, censored, or met with death threats. Her account may be deleted entirely. And in extreme circumstances, she may actually face violence from males.
Her rape may be openly published online freely available to the public, even if she pleads for the content to be removed. Even if it’s violent, and especially if it’s violent. She could be choked, bound, drugged, and gagged and because it pleases males it may proliferate.
Reddit will not allow female only forums—unless it’s porn. Our opinions and class recognition is offensive, but our preference on our physical sex is permissible.
The internet censorship is in males’ favor. They get to express their opinions freely and without constraint. They can demean women openly. Their sexual preferences are respected whereas women’s sexuality are scrutinized under a microscope. God forbid she’s only attracted to women, for that could qualify her as a bigot. Women cannot express their opinions or preferences or boundaries without threat of death or censorship.
