During Francesca's entire time in college she developed an outstanding portfolio of diversified work experiences and a stellar Rolodex of contacts but try as she might, she just couldn't seem to find a gig.

With only $50 to his name Rasaan Wyzard set out for New York to break into the highly competitive fashion industry. 

In this up close and personal interview, Wyzard shares how he went from starving to success as he worked hard; made the right connections and ultimately found himself working as a stylist assistant for A-list celebs such as Lady Gaga to working on the Prada campaign with Steven Meisel.

Did you catch Oprah's double dose of programming awesomeness last night? OWN premiered two thought provoking pieces focused on African American women. Oprah's Next Chapter series sat down with actresses Phylicia Rashad, Viola Davis, Gabrielle Union and Alfre Woodard and addressed several hard hitting issues in black Hollywood. 

Following the Next Chapter premiere, the Dark Girls documentary from producers Bill Duke and D. Channsin Berry aired and displayed the deep seated biases about skin color in black culture.

Lilly Workneh hasn't looked back since graduating from The University of Georgia in 2012 to pursue a career in journalism.

Unlike many millennials, undecided about their futures, Workneh knew from day one that she wanted be a journalist. 

Before landing her first gig at PEOPLE in New York, Workneh set herself up for success by participating in several internships that enabled her to make strong connections and build relationships with mentors that would assist in her career journey.

Selena Hill has an insatiable appetite for success. The Queens, NY native is indeed a self starter that truly understands the meaning of entrepreneurship and hard work. 

In 2006, Selena Hill created "Let Your Voice Be Heard! Radio" as a platform for college students at SUNY Old Westbury to express their views on issues within the institution and the struggles they faced as young adults. After a two year hiatus, Selena relaunched the show in 2011 as a platform for information and thought-provoking discussions that encourages listeners to express their views and equips them with the knowledge to make positive changes in society.

Meet Kameon Prather, Jack of all Trades…master of MUCH. 

Expertise and extensive experience spanning the areas of music business, telecommunications, public relations, event planning, digital marketing and social media all fall under his cool, calm and collected repertoire. 

While at The University of Georgia he started his first business, Team E.C.S.T.A.C.Y LLC, a music production firm specializing in urban, pop and alternative music genres. 

Now, he calls Brooklyn his home but you might not catch him there too often. As a production lead at Creative Production Partners, Prather tends to jet set across the world, ensuring that event production and talent management run smoothly for their high end clientele at CPP.
