In Balance
My current mission: being in balance.
I have many tools, but each one has to decide for oneself what works. In my case it is:
good sleep
healthy nutrition
weekly routine
sport
meditation
creativity
journal writing
sharing with friends
I even joined a group of “balanciers” and we talk about our psychological health every Wednesday, which enriches me with positivity, compassion, new impulses and food for thought.
I have been in balance for a long time now, waiting for the creeping feeling of depression to come back. Instead of waiting, I’m preparing myself to fight the next battle. Yes, it is also with the help of medication, but what is more important: my weekly routine and my friends, who are a great support concerning my mental health. !Thank you! dear friends and strangers for your smile, your listening skills, your empathy and helpful advice. I wouldn’t be standing at this point of my life without you. And I feel strong! And I know I cannot be in balance forever (life would be boring without the ups and downs, right?), but at least I can prevent steep downs and high ups by keeping my stability, like “normal” persons do.
