Second, I have reasonable disagreements with the American government. Often. Whether or not you hear about it often. Military does not mean conservative. If you think I am not Very Angry about Many things, you don’t know me very well. But I'm also tired and this is my running away place. I'm paying attention. i don't forget or not care. I may even be angry. but I'm so damn tired. if i react it will be irl, not online. i can do more there i think.

Speaking of medieval history, it's fun how the popular accounts are all "the peasantry disliked nobles, but typically loved the King and attributed any harmful decisions to bad advisors", and then the rare examples of surviving testimony from actual peasants are like "I hope the King literally explodes".

I've posted about this before but back home at my old job I used to get pho so fucking often that the owners of the place stopped asking me what I wanted and stopped handing me menus when I walked in. After I moved to NY and I could only go back to Chicago like once a year, I sat down and they gave me a menu and I was like "Oh no I already know what I want, can I get--" and they were like OHHH #36 WITH EXTRA NOODLES YOU'RE BACK and I almost cried
