Riz Pinned Intro Post 🐻

I'm Riz. I'm an adult (20s) 🗺 and a veteran of the Tumblr, Twitter, etc. para communities dating back to early 2017. Not much of who I am outside of my age range and pronouns (he/him) will be shared here. I took a lengthy hiatus and rebranded for a reason.

These are the basics of who I am and what you will find here:

I am anti-contact for 🗺 / 🍸, 🐾, and 💀. (No one GAF if you're a pro-C objectophile. Bang your couch if your heart so desires it. Just mind the inevitable rug burn.)

I am pro-ALL paras. I don't care what it is. Thoughts are just thoughts. Attraction is not action. If you're into it and you're not harming anyone (non-consensually, anyway 😆), then it's morally neutral. You're welcome here, regardless of what it is. Chances are that I'm into it too anyway.

I am pro-radqueer, including transIDs. I, personally, am not radqueer, but they are welcome here. I am studied up on the lingo, however, and I would prefer xenosatanists to stay away from me. And from everybody, in general.

I am uncompromisingly pro-fiction (including kodo), pro-shipping, and anti-antis. "Calm down, son, it's just a drawing" attitude on roids can be found here. I, myself, am a "problematic" writer for my paras that it would be unethical to fully act out. Cool people get to see my writing.

I am a chronic discourser. Discoursing and debating and nitpicking is what I do. I will try to tag such posts with "riz growls" for such things, if you would prefer a discourse-free environment. Bug me if I forget.

I do not have much of a DNI because I find them to be flimsy and ineffective. I liberally block antis as I find them, including neo-Puritans, anti-shippers, anti-radqueers, anti-transIDs, and anti-paras (since these stances often seem to go hand in hand and I don't trust any of these groups individually or collectively as far as I can throw them). It also goes without saying that I block TERFs. Why they would be here in the first place, unless they're undercover, I don't know, but still. If I get annoyed enough by a post and start discourse, it will generally be through a screenshot to avoid directly interacting with someone rancid.

I think a lot of good could be done for people with POCD if experiencing minor attraction was not something to fear or be disgusted with oneself over. There would be no reason to scrutinize one's sexuality and have anxious death spirals over "What if I'm a pedophile and I don't know?" if being a pedophile or other form of MAP was not something viewed on a wider scale as inherently immoral, unethical, or otherwise disgusting.

When I was younger (in my mid-teens), my approach to my POCD after experiencing CSA and then subsequently interacting with the online MAP community out of curiosity was counteracting the thought with "So what if I am? Why is that a bad thing if I'm not hurting anyone?" and repeating that mantra ultimately helped (and, as it turns out, I am, and who cares?). In a vacuum, without MAPmisia and general paramisia tainting one's view of oneself, the anxiety about potentially secretly being minor-attracted simply would not exist.

Not sure if I'm onto anything with this, but it might help someone.

If you are a so-called mental health advocate, and then turn around to tell a paraphile to kill themself, you are NOT the pro mental health angel you claim to be. You are going out of your way to try to worsen the suicide crisis of the world, all because you don't see paraphiles as people. That's ableist and overall bigoted, and no good advocate for anything is either of those things. Fuck you.

I am so tired of people confusing being a paraphile with an illegal act. This misconception has so thoroughly fucked the community over, because once people see 'zoophile' etc on your profile they just pull the assumption that you're an abuser out of their ass. That, or that you're lying about being a decent individual.

this is a weird question but how do i make friends in the para community? i see people with tons of moots all the time and i’m having trouble connecting.

Unfortunately, the best way to do it is also the most embarrassing way to do it: send asks off anon or send DMs and become friends with people whose posts you like. Become mutuals with them, and ideally, they'll spread your posts around (if you post original content), and then people in their circles will start seeing, liking, and reblogging your posts and potentially following or becoming mutuals with you as well.
