for the love of god can we stop calling henrymilla haters / non shippers misogynistic? last i checked henry forcefully isolated camilla from everyone, nearly poisoned her brother in order to gain a wider access to control her and treated her as an object to his aesthetic fantasy rather than a person. if anyone here is misogynistic it’s the people who genuinely believe henrymilla was a healthy dynamic for camilla. she was never henry’s equal and he never treated her as such…she was quite literally almost killed by henry (and the others) during the bacchanal. he constantly put her in danger and agony just so he can play his desired role of a tragic hero. he didn’t care about her! no one did! stop turning henrymilla into your self-insert romantic fantasy! it was destructive, codependent and blemished with a heavy power imbalance. if you love henrymilla for their complexity that’s great but don’t shove it down other people’s throats and quit calling non-shippers misogynistic for not romanticising them into the sexy american dream couple you all desperately want them to be

I am NOT saying people who ship henrymilla are misogynistic. they’re incredibly intricate and enchanting and one of the most interesting dynamics in that whole book and everyone is allowed to love them! but ripping them of their flaws and displaying them as perfect defeats their entire dynamic. thanks.
