First day of warmth and sunshine! Spring is coming ☀️

Also Archer has gotten so big 🥹 where’d my tiny puppy go? He’s actually a little taller than Casper now when they stand shoulder to shoulder ❤️🐾

Baby Archer’s first real walk! (Had to get all those vaccines done before he could leave our yard) Casper was such a good big brother teaching him how to behave on his leash. My heart is so full with these two boys ❤️🐾

So far Casper seems happy to have him and hasn’t left his side, or Archer hasn’t left his 😆 they’re taking turns following each other around. ❤️

Several weeks ago we announced we were getting a new baby! Yesterday our breeder personality tested and matched the puppies to the best fit family for them, and this little guy is the one selected for us!

His name is Archer and he will be coming home at the end of the week. But we were too excited to announce our baby to wait until he comes home. We are very excited to soon be adding this sweet addition.

At the beginning of the year, I contacted Casper’s breeder and requested to be put on a wait list for a future puppy, specifically requesting from the same line as him. Yesterday his younger sister gave birth to her last litter before retirement, and I was offered to reserve one these babies. I don’t yet know which of these cuties will be mine, but I do know one of them will join us in about 8 weeks.

Momma finally let me play in the snow!

Momma won’t let me play outside in the snow, she’s only let me have several very short potty breaks. She keeps saying single digits is too cold to be outside, and doesn’t believe my thick fur coat will keep me warm. How could she treat me so poorly all of a sudden?

(Meanwhile momma is wrapped up in hats scarves gloves and not one but two coats during his potty breaks freezing her butt off. Keep warm friends and send Casper the strength to survive my neglect today in keeping him inside the nice warm house)

Being a very good boy taking care of momma.

Got stomped on by a horse. Didn’t break anything but has swollen to twice it’s normal size and the whole foot is deep purple and blue.

And it may not have been the smartest move, but I still rode 15 miles after it happened before getting it looked at 😆 doctor said something about crazy stubborn equestrians.

... and I thought that was exactly how things are supposed to go? 😅 You get injured, you finish your riding plans, you take care of the critters, then you think about going to the doctor?

I hope your foot is back to riding soundness soon!

Thank you! We are confident that as soon as the bruising heals we’ll be good to go again. So I should in theory be able to be back in the saddle in a week or two. 😊
