Read Before Requesting
Hi, I stumbled across your teen wolf fics on Ao3 like a week ago and have been hooked since. I may have cried for a few hours straight whilst reading the Thought We Built a Dynasty series and gave myself a sore throat in the process, you are so so good at writing angst and feelings and it makes me die (in a good way). I fucking love your writing and I look forward to seeing what else you make!
Hello!
Holy crap, what a lovely message to receive, though I do hope you had tissues. And throat lozenges...
I'm so glad that you're enjoying everything. There are some long ass fics to get through on my page, so I thank you for taking the time to read them. I can assuredly say that I have no idea what the next thing on the docket is. LoL. I have a few things started, like a Stargate SG1 AU (because JR was in that - MARTOUF!), which is actually going back to the very first fandom I ever wrote for. Ah, teenage memories. And then there's a 'the Hales are human but the world is not' idea that is about halfway to where I want it to be, so we shall see how that goes or if Argent decides to be a butthole about it and not talk to me. But otherwise, I fly much by the seat of my pants, write until something is done, and then post. Heh.
There's also some SuperBat in there, because superheroes used to be my bread and butter before I found Petopher. Maybe one day I will return to them. Maybe.
Story Type: Chaptered
Series: Thought We Built a Dynasty
Life is about choices. Some choices, no matter how small, can shift an entire lifetime. Others can change only a moment. For this little family, both are true as their paths spiral out in front of them.
Alternatives to the Thought We Built a Dynasty series. Each chapter indicates where in the story that change occurs.

I finally compiled all my AUs for the Thought We Built a Dynasty series into one work. This universe was too big and I am still too small compared to it... So this is how it continues.
I finally compiled all my AUs for the Thought We Built a Dynasty series into one fic. I have one chapter where I really have to flesh out / write more than the few sentences there but then it's just editing and posting. I really wanted Peter and Chris to work it out earlier than they did but I'd written the ending with "Just Like Her Father" first and was kind of 'locked in' and had to break it on purpose because of that. But it hurt and I didn't want it to hurt, so I wrote a bunch of AUs to make it hurt less at various points in the story. Or more. Sometimes the AUs hurt more. Eeeeeeh.
This universe was too big and I am still too small compared to it. LoL. So this is how it continues.
So, I've started organizing my fan works. In the process, I figured I would do an update on what is happening with my writing, myself, and what you can expect to see here and on AO3 concerning upcoming, finished work. I do ramble in this but it should only take you maybe ten minutes, if that, if you're curious in reading.
Warning for a frank discussion of health, mental and physical. This section is set apart, if you want or need to skip it.
First things first
I'm finally moving my works out of Google Drive. This is a long and arduous process, as it required quite a bit of research into other platforms and now that I've chosen a new one (Ellipsus), transferring things back and forth just takes time, even though it's pretty easy to do. But I can't trust Google to not use what's in my drive for their generative AI projects and I don't trust that they won't seek out users that don't align with their money/power-givers "morality" and give up the ghost to a government organization.
... Guess which country I live in. It's not even funny what kind of things I have to worry about now and there's only so many phone calls to representatives I can make before I feel strung out.
I'm also looking at open source software for my computer so that I can save my stuff offline, just in case anything happens to the places I post my works or if Google decides to just wipe everything. They can do that, technically and legally, since they own the platform I'm using. Again, my trust is limited and my options more so. But I'm thinking Office Libre looks pretty cool because Microsoft is the Devil and if they install Teams or any of their other bloatware on my computer with an 'update' ONE MORE TIME I'm gonna throw a proper hissy fit. I'm also playing with the idea of creating my own website archive for my works. Could be fun, I like designing websites in my free time for no reason - my coworkers are constantly baffled.
Secondly
Why does it take you so long to post? I get this question a LOT more than you may think. I delete those asks because I work at my own pace and so should everyone else. Fan works, in my unneeded and unasked for opinion, should be fun to do. Deadlines, while sometimes useful if you're working on something especially if that something is for a limited time fan event, often are not fun.
Also, for those that don't know my writing process, I don't post works that aren't already finished in my files anymore (stories only, series are a different beast). I write full fics and then post them chapter by chapter as I edit. This has helped me greatly in remaining focused on a story, as the pressure to 'get it done' is completely removed and if I'm not feeling something, I can just take a break with no one the wiser. This is especially nice because I'm a "pantser" or only write when I have an idea, no outline, not much forethought. The most I do in "planning" a fic is writing a tiny summary for it that you often see as the description of said fic.
So that's why it takes me awhile to post my works. I finish them first and then look at my next few weeks to see what kind of schedule I have so that I can edit and post regularly until the story is complete.
Third - The Health Talk
My health is crap, guys. I've been in and out of doctor's offices, the emergency room, and the procedure room more times than I can count over the last year. I have been diagnosed with a few chronic conditions that come with not a little amount of pain and sometimes I just don't have the energy or brainpower to write. I hate it, it's leading to a depression I'm trying to crawl out of (with professional help, don't worry), and it's triggered both my eating and anxiety disorders. These last two things, of course, make everything else worse and it's a rough road that I'm walking but I'm walking it.
I am not a healthy lady and so that is also why things are taking so long. There are ideas here, there are even mostly finished fics in my files, but they're just... not getting done and at this point, I have no idea where I was going with them. I'm still in the throes of trying to fix the pain and the other symptoms but fear not! There is slow progress being made and I hope to have something to show for it soon.
In Conclusion
The following list is only a minor representation of what I have in my files. It also is in no way an 'ordered' list where the first thing on it will be the first thing done. I also make no promises that a new idea won't bite me in the ass and get finished first. I'm still in my Petopher era and IDK what to do about it, I blame JR Bourne as my celebrity crush, but superheroes are coming back into my brain as well and there's thoughts of returning to them.
Here are the things that have been touched in the last month or two:
Teen Wolf, Petopher - a story about the Hales being human but the world remaining the same as canon. Cue Benny Hill music.
DC Comics, SuperBat - a Stardew Valley AU where Clark moves home to Kansas to setup his own farm and realizes there are a lot more Gothamites in Smallville than he's used to. Martha laughs at his attempts to grow vegetables.
DC Comics, SuperBat - a Nanny AU where the Daily Prophet gets bought out by Lex and Clark is saved from having to write hit pieces by accidentally walking into Wayne Manor for an interview at the same time they're looking for a caregiver. Jason throws a roll at his head and Damian is still a baby.
Teen Wolf, Petopher - after the fire, Peter is the last remaining Hale in Beacon Hills. That comes with some side effects, like being the only one that the spirits in the Preserve can rely on. An excuse to write a story based off the imagery in this Gord trailer: Conquer The Darkness Beyond The Gates
And the biggest project...
Teen Wolf, Petopher: rewrite of the Thought We Built a Dynasty series, AU chapters, and creative layout. I'm only poking at this every once and awhile, but I'm creating a 'book' of Dynasty for myself in Canva and thought maybe it'd be nice if I'd share it once it's done. I can share the cover pages here, if people want a taste.
I'm really proud of the series and I think it shows an amazing growth in my skills as a writer from start to end, as well as being a passion project that really was written for myself. Fun fact, I didn't initially plan on the Dynasty idea to be a series; Just Like Her Father was supposed to be a one-shot that grew into a beast that consumed my life for something like a year and a half. As such, each story was written independently, meant to be the 'last' one of the series, and the full timeline was never one I really had a grasp on until I finished. Now, looking back at the stories, I've started to edit and rewrite some sections drastically so that everything remains consistent and flows better. The plot remains the same, it's just going to be 'better' written because I know the entirety of it now and can use foreshadowing way better when I know the actual ending.
Oh, and also, because my brain won't leave this universe alone, I have a whole fic full of AUs that sprung up as I was writing. Each little snippet will have its own chapter, none will be a full story (unless I go crazy and a whole story spills out of me anyways), but they should be fun to read for those who are fans of the universe. I wanted them to work it out too, guys. But I wrote the ending first and so couldn't have Chris just off a character midway through to get his way. I really, really wanted to though. Really, really.
Frostgrave will probably get the same treatment in Canva but without the editing, as that one I red-penned the life out of way longer than any other fic I ever have before posting. You know, if you want that one too. Ha. I'm not happy with the cover I created, not yet at least. But it's happening!
If you want to chat or ask a question about any of this or something else entirely, feel free to send me a message/ask here or on my main blog, Camlann.

What even is this?
No idea, just something that came to mind while I work on other things. And yes, there are other stories in the making - my health just isn't great, so it's slow going. I am also rewriting some things, have some AUs planned, and all that will be coming your way. You can keep up to date on things or even chat with me here on Tumblr.
Story now updated from what you may have read here on this blog!
Okay but do you understand the TREASURE TROVE of reading a fic you enjoy and then looking at the author's page and discovering they have written multiple just like it?! That is the ultimate score!

Silver arrow embeds into the creature near Isaac and then, all at once, thereâs a blade in her side. Coughing, Allison doesnât die slowly but all at once, gasping her last breath before the sword is even drawn from her. Knees meet the ground, then her shoulder, then her head. Nothing feels right, everything feels wrong, and thereâs swirls in the shadows that she doesnât think the others can see.Â
Her last conscious thought is that the Oni bearing down on her has a different mask.Â
---
Everything is white and sheâs back in a place she remembers, though she feels nearly nothing of the fear she felt the first time around. Dead, she must be dead, and this is where sheâs been sent. Itâs different this time though, there is no sawed off tree trunk in the middle, only an elaborate scroll on a stone table in front of her and knowledge she shouldnât have in her head.Â
Three sacrifices. Three choices. Three coins in the palm of her hand.Â
Allison chooses carefully.Â
---
The smallest coin comes first. Her shortest amount of time.Â
Her bow is her only ally in this whirlwind and she draws, aims, fires at Gerard before he takes the killing blow on a werewolf that would spark a war. It lodges in his neck and she makes eye contact with his son only long enough to disappear. Even if nothing else she does works, this has to. Then at least Deucalion will be reasonable whenever she gets back to where sheâs come from and Derek will be as safe as she can make him, crushing butterfly wings as she hits the ground running.Â
---
The largest coin comes second and she is not prepared for the differences already present in everything around her. It almost takes her off track but she chose today for a reason.Â
Derek is holding the hand of a girl with golden eyes, a scar on her arm from a fall into a bramble bush instead of a wolf. She survives this time, fingers wound tight in her boyfriendâs as he brings Allison to his mother, but Talia Hale doesnât believe her when she begs her to listen. Sheâs ushered back out to the front porch and Allison stomps her foot, wondering if her father would be somewhere close enough to help her - thereâs no guarantee he would, of course, but when sheâs in doubt itâs him she goes to. Thereâs no time to track him down if heâs not close though and she canât remember where he is right now, if she is with him or not, and she collapses on the porch steps to try and think of a new plan. This has to happen, this is one thing she doesnât think she can change. But maybe she can just wait for the fire to start, right? Kate is already in town, she knows that from what sheâs found out in her former life, so if she waits she can break the mountain ash line and the Hales can be freed. Itâs risky but itâs all sheâs got.Â
A little mustang pulls up in front of the house and the man who steps out is familiar, too familiar. He makes eye contact with her and Allison tries again to plead her case, desperate and unsure if this is worse than her second idea.Â
Peter Hale believes her.Â
She doesnât know if that should surprise her or not, heâs clearly different with softer hair and warmer eyes as he leans forward to scent the air around her, picking up death and magic and something that she says might be time itself. He has two kids to pick up from their cousinâs place, and a little Malia and Jackson crawl into the car with her. Itâs enough she almost cries.Â
A grin is directed her way that doesnât cut at her as they put their heads together in his apartment, as she admits to things that she probably shouldnât about how she dies and what causes it. But he listens attentively, he learns, and his curious nature and need to survive actually works with her plan instead of against it.Â
âIâve seen you before, you know,â he mutters the night of the fire, sitting on grass next to her as firefighters douse the flames that are consuming the home, as Talia and her family stand to the side and stare. The twins are off with a friend she doesnât catch the name of, far away from the destruction. Peter says theyâre safe, as safe as they can be, and she doesnât have time to ask more questions. âYouâre a cute kid.âÂ
âIâm a perfectionist with a mean streak who cries at the drop of a hat.âÂ
âMaybe,â Peter laughs softly, patting her hand as he stands. âBut you came to stop this from happening. How awful can you really be? Not that Iâm surprised. Your father is one of the good ones, so it makes sense he would pass it on to his daughter.â
âI just want to go home,â Allison admits in a whisper, wiping at her eyes. âI miss him.âÂ
âYouâll see him again.â Peter looks so thoughtful and she wonders who heâll be when she gets back. Turning his eyes back to her from where theyâve been tracking Kate being led to a police car, he grins something happy and amused. âWherever you end up next, good luck.â
---
The last coin is for herself and she slides through the shadows to find that Oni, the one with the different mask that is going to kill her. That too has to happen.Â
Somewhere in the dark itâs following her, or a girl that looks like her that isnât her because her life is different now. When the blade strikes out at this new girl, at this softer version of herself, Allison jumps in the way, understands better what she needs to do. The blade sinks deep and she gasps, though the enemy disappears as silver daggers slice through it. She feels more than sees the hands on her shoulders as she collapses and stares up into blue eyes, confusion evident in her own from the way he smiles down at her.Â
âIâve been waiting, kiddo.â She can see her dad in the background, gun drawn, though lowered because clearly she isnât a threat. Allison gurgles out a laugh, blood on her lips that Peter wipes away gently. âCame back just to say goodbye.âÂ
âDid it work?â she asks, voice rough as she gets more and more tired. âDid it work?âÂ
âYea, Allison. It worked.â She likes this Peter, Allison decides, and she curls her hand into his as he cradles her to his chest. âYou can rest now. Youâll be okay.âÂ
âYou promise?â He canât know. Thereâs no way he can know. âIâm so tired.âÂ
âI promise. Sleep.âÂ
---Â
Everything is white and sheâs back in a place she remembers, though she feels nearly nothing of the fear she felt the first time around. Dead, she must be dead, and this is where sheâs been sent. Itâs different this time though, there is no sawed off tree trunk in the middle, only an elaborate scroll on a stone table in front of her and knowledge she shouldnât have in her head.Â
One sacrifice. One choice. One pebble in the palm of her hand.Â
Allison tosses the thing at the start of her own timeline and smiles as everything rushes from her. âSo long, Peter Haleâ she thinks as she fades away, ready to take on a new life.Â
---Â
On a playground, a set of twins and a little girl with bouncing black hair meet on a summerâs day. Two men watch them, unsure of each other and careful, not wanting to tip the balance of their lives. But that little girl runs and runs and runs across the field between them until she lands on Peterâs knees, looking up at him like she knows him.
âIâm Allison,â she says and reaches up for his hand, three years old and unafraid. âAnd youâre Peter Hale. Do you want ice cream, Peter Hale?âÂ
In a few years, she gets to have a sleepover with his kids, her very best friends, and then they have to rush to the Preserve in the middle of the night because thereâs been a fire. He holds her close and promises her that heâs okay, that nothing bad has happened, and that she saved the day. She doesnât get it but giggles when he tickles her before her and Malia and Jackson squish into the back of his car with gummy worms while he talks to Daddy outside. Daddy doesn't look so good and Peter says heâs sick when he tucks him into the car too, but Peter makes them all better and they stay at his apartment for a few weeks, longer than theyâve ever stayed before.Â
They donât really go back home and when sheâs sixteen, Peter pleads with her not to go out tonight. She promises, confused, but then she hears her friends are in trouble and out the window she goes. Itâs dark, thereâs no moon out tonight, and then thereâs a woman with her face that pushes her out of the way.Â
Peter holds her tight while she dies and then she melts away, like she never existed. Allison cries and takes her place, apologizing for going out. Dad is just glad sheâs okay and after a minute of confusion, they all rush forward to where Aunt Talia is dealing with something trying to possess Stiles. They make it through, because they always do, and when a new day dawns, Allison takes Peterâs hand because thereâs a new memory in her head and she smiles.Â
Does anyone know where I could get a single book published for personal use? I don't want to sell anything, I just want to print out some of my own works to have physically as a reminder of the hard work... But I can only find the "print 20 copies" type deals and IDK if places will even print fanfiction, even if I wrote it and am not selling it.
Left for dead in the wilderness and all on his own, Christopher makes the decision to thrive instead of rotting. Itâs a slow process and he finds himself lonely at times in the beginning, but in the end he builds something with his own two hands and the Preserve gives him what he needs, so long as he gives her back some of what he creates. Beginnings turn into middles and soon, his time alone comes to an end when people begin to stumble upon his camp. Those that need shelter from the weather, those looking for help lost in the darkness, and those who wish to hide away like he has. They are good people and the hunter cannot bring himself to turn them away, especially not after the first is kept and provided for.
Then the Hales come to the gate of their little home and his world changes again. They are strong, able, and help build out their home. In their midst though is a wolf, large and red and with eyes that see too much, a shadow behind him, a heat at his side. And on the air is a whisper that says something is coming for him, something that can bring his new life crashing down.

This is unlike anything I've ever written and I'm stupidly proud of it. This is how I would write all the time, if I could. I love this story, it was written for November novel month, and I've been hesitant to share it because it does feel more important than anything else I've written before it. Like something of note on a history timeline.
I hope that you enjoy this (ridiculously long) story!
"should we tell authors on ao3 when we have discord conversations about their fics" i don't speak for everyone here but if y'all ever find a group chat discussing my fics you can should must and WILL send me screenshots of the whole damn thing. inflate my ego. gimme
this whole thing with people discussing a fic in secret, on closed discord servers, instead of leaving a nice comment, is such a loss for fandom. we're losing fic writers with every fic with hundreds of hits and barely a comment.
writers publish to be read. fanfic is meant to be a conversation.
(Teen Wolf) Rewriting 'Thought We Built a Dynasty' into a singular story so people can download something pretty and/or print it. Also to clean it up a bit, since I wrote it without knowing the ending and now I can go in and smooth out transitions.
(DC Comics) A SuperBat AU where Clark goes back and becomes a farmer ala Stardew Valley. Yes I do still write superhero stories! I just haven't had the mindset to write shining, happy hero type stories recently.
Otherwise, I'm just trying to get to the end of the year as my health hasn't been great and I'm in need of a surgery soon. December is gonna be a big month, so updates and work on other things will be slow! But my ask box is open, especially today, for anyone that wants to distract themselves a bit.

A year ago, Chris became a father. Now at twenty-two, he finds himself doing⊠whatever this is.
Itâs not his fault that he stumbles upon the most gorgeous man heâs ever seen in a hotel hallway. Itâs not his fault that the man is a werewolf. It might be his fault that he practically ran after him, stumbling into his bed after being wined and dined. The real problem though? Heâs older, a lot older, and Chris can feel his knees quake every time the man looks at him. And really, thatâs not so much of a problem as it is catastrophic to his standing in his family, at least the ones that are still hanging around. Despite all this, romance ensues and Chris learns what the term 'indulgence' really means somewhere in between.

There appeared to be quite a few young!Peter/older!Chris fics around but I rarely, if ever, saw the opposite. So here is the opposite. Fun!
I've been sick for two months. Months. And they still don't really know what's going on with me but here's hoping they figure that shit out soon. In the meantime, here's some not awful, unlike everything else that's going on. ⥠⥠âĄ
So, I'm writing another Petopher fic that is almost done. I've noticed a lot of stories have Peter as the younger man and Chris as older than him, sometimes vastly older than him - time to flip the coin and have a bb!Chris fic!
Hopefully it'll start getting posted next week... Hopefully....
