Split Cards at 15 Yards — Why I’m Loving Hodgdon Titegroup from Brownells

Under The Hood: w/ My Canik TTI Combat

If you’ve been around my channel for a while, you know I love breaking down cool builds in my “Under The Hood” series over on YouTube. Today, I’m bringing you something that’s been turning heads both at the range and on the workbench—the Canik TTI Combat Edition. And let me tell you, this thing isn’t just a showpiece, it’s a workhorse!

It’s like the Glock’s cooler cousin that went off to college, got fit, and came back to the block like, "Eh Yawl! What's Up?"

But you know me—I couldn’t leave it stock.

I sent it off to Tommy Gun Stippling, and let me tell you, he worked some real magic. First up—the Gorilla Ports. These have become my signature cuts that add not just a mean look, but also functionality. Porting helps tame the muzzle rise, which means you’re back on target faster (THAT'S ALL). Mitigation of felt recoil yes, but if your a decent shooter with phenomenal fundamentals, than ports can only enhance your shooting; it's not necessary.

On top of that, Tommy laid down a custom Lorime Camouflage Cerakote job. This finish isn’t just tough, it’s flat-out gorgeous. The colors blend smooth but still pop, giving this TTI Combat some real battlefield swagger. It’s like putting a tailored suit on an MMA fighter—sharp, but ready to throw hands ON GO! And yes, it draws attention at the range. I caught a guy staring at it so long I had to invite him over to my bay just so I didn't feel dirty.

Up top, I’m running the AimWin PE320 red dot, and I’ve got to say—I’m impressed. It’s not going to break the bank, but it gets the job done. Clear glass, a crisp dot, and it holds zero even after some decent range sessions. For the average guy who wants to step into the optics-ready world without selling a kidney, this is a solid choice.

Plus, pairing it with the Gorilla Ports makes for some spicy range time. You’ve got speed, accuracy, and a sight picture that’s easy to track shot after shot. Basically, this setup makes me look a little better than I actually am—and I’ll take that win all day.

Of course, if you’re going to carry something like this, you need a holster that can handle it. Enter the Grey Man Solutions Shadow AIWB Holster. This rig keeps the Canik tucked away comfortably, while still giving me a fast draw. AIWB (appendix inside the waistband) isn’t for everyone, but with the right holster, it can be downright comfy. Grey Man nailed it on this one.

Range confession: I may or may not have practiced drawing in front of the mirror a few too many times. My wife walked in once, shook her head, and just walked right back out. But hey—that’s training, right?

BRN-22 Build Review – Rimfire Done Right

Alright y’all, let me walk you through my latest rimfire rifle build — the BRN-22 Upper Reciever, Brownells Power Match Bolt, Tactical Solution Barrel, a MagPul Hunter X22 Stock, a Tandem Kross Flat Trigger Kit, a Ruger Extended Mag Release and Extended Charging Handle and a set of MagPul Bipods. I started with a Romeo 5 Red Dot but I'm currently rocking this Sightmark Wraith 4K. We've landed on the Summit Precision Break because between you and I, it's a mini suppressor.

Sometimes you just need a rifle that’s fun, reliable, and doesn’t make your wallet cry every time you pull the trigger. That’s exactly what this thing turned out to be.

The BRN-22 receiver is like the blank canvas of the .22LR world. Brownells basically said, “Here, go nuts,” and that’s exactly what I did. It’s 10/22 compatible, so I had an endless parts bin to play with. No headaches putting it together — just a clean, solid start to the build.

Barrel – Tactical Solution Barrel

Here’s where things got interesting. I threw on a Tactical Solution Barrel that I picked up from Brownells, and man, it woke this thing up. First range trip out, I grabbed the cheapest bulk .22 ammo I had rolling around in the bottom of an ammo can, Aguila, and even with that, groups tightened up way more than I expected. Then I fed it some "slightly" higher-grade stuff (CCI), and suddenly I was shooting little clusters that made me look better than I really am. You know what comes after this: CARD CUTTING SEASON!

Stock – Magpul Hunter

I dressed it up in a Magpul Hunter stock from Brownells, because Magpul just knows how to make a rifle feel right. Comfortable, adjustable, and it doesn’t weigh you down. If I'm being a man of The Cloth and 100% transparent — "it aint like the .22lr in pistol or rifle is actually freaking heavy - so suck it up butter cup!"

Nothing wrong with a rifle that’s as photogenic as it is functional.

Now for the fun part. I took it out and got it sighted in and honestly felt like tagging a few draggon flys (check out the video on Youtube). Every magazine was just pure joy. I started slicing cards and chipping away at corners of the paper, this thing is so dialed in.

That’s the thing about a good rimfire build: it doesn’t matter if you’re an Unc or a Git, a solid BRN-22 just makes people smile. It’s accurate enough to impress, cheap enough to shoot all day, and light enough that you never get tired of carrying it around.

The BRN-180 Ranch Rifle: Modern Muscle (The Hood) Meets A Frontier Simplicity (The Country)

When most folks hear “ranch rifle,” they picture a wood-stocked lever gun or a Mini-14 riding shotgun in a pickup slanging mud or something. But I’m flipping that idea on its head—with a build I’m calling the BRN-180 Ranch Rifle (for obvious reasons).

I was caught up with the whole BRN180 layout from shooting their gen1 while out on a trip to Iowa. I got back to Tampa and just knew I had to build my own take on it but make it something that reflected me! And so, my rifle pairs the Brownells BRN-180 Gen2 upper with a FoxTrot Mike Woox Ranch Rifle lower stock, creating a blend of modern modularity and rugged reliability that feels right at home on the range, in the woods, or if this was the movie "Life" with Martin and Eddie Murphy, I would say, "This Rifle is ready for anything crossing the Gun Line, Boss!".

Why the BRN-180?

The BRN-180 Gen2 is based on the classic Armalite AR-180 design, but Brownells brought it into the 21st century. The solid upper design, long-stroke gas piston system, and recoil system in the upper means no buffer tube—so you can run a folding stock with no extra fuss. Just imagine that - NEW AGE FIRE POWER cable of being transformed however you like....yeaaaa, that's what I'm talking about!

It’s cleaner than your standard DI setup and smoother than some higher-priced “gucci guns” on the market.

The FoxTrot Mike Ranch Rifle Lower

Now here’s where it gets fun.

The FoxTrot Mike Ranch Rifle lower isn’t your everyday AR-15 lower. It’s a purpose-built, minimalist design that skips the buffer tube altogether. That means it matches the BRN-180’s bufferless system perfectly. The lines are cleaner, the weight is lower, and the setup just feels right—especially if you’re building for utility.

The ergonomics are slick, the magwell is flared for fast reloads, and the overall fit and finish pairs beautifully with the BRN-180 upper.

I built this rifle with purpose in mind.

Caliber: 5.56 NATO for universal availability and versatility.

Optics: A simple 1-6x LPVO Credo for predator control, hog hunting, or defense. Add a QD red dot if you want that dual-role capability.

Stock: WOOX Stock—For The Wood in Me (wink wink)

This is a rifle that’s easy to stash in a truck, sling across your back, or lean against the barn door while you sip coffee and watch the sun come up.

Just received the call no son (child) wants to ever receive!

Wow! Life is really gone in the blink of an eye! I'm having a very difficult time processing thoughts at the moment. I mean, I know there are emotions I'm supposed to be having at the moment however there's so much in my mind. It's like the silence is soooooo loud at the moment! I've gone through my phone and watched old videos of you and even pictures! Certain pictures hurt more than others! It's like had I known that Moment was the last one, I would of sat longer in it! I would of laugh longer at that joke! I would of smiled longer looking into your eyes! And this is where sadness comes from! The joy of know your love for me was pure and I wasn't even your biological child means the most!! I love you, Pop! Period!

Ma passed away in September. That was very hard for you! You spoke a few times about how you felt God should of took you and left her. Life is so interesting! I'll never forget the time you tried to get me to take one of our dogs (Shaka) out to the Bombing Range and leave him so when you returned from vacation, he would be gone! 😂 Pop, You were soooo pissed off at me when you guys got back home and Shaka was in that backyard! Lol 😂 I couldn't do it, Pop! You never let me live that mess down either lol! So many moments you poured into me, chastised me, praises me and celebrated me like I was yours! You helped me and Pat get our cards after high school and against your advice, we weren't saving money like we were supposed to be! But what did you do? You went into your honey stash and got us the additional monies needed to get what we needed!! You were so perfect!

I'd like to just brag on how amazing your were for a lil bit. A man who had three kids biologically with Ma, 1 outside of the marriage, 2 adopted and then me! Like, think about that for a second.... You owed nobody nothing and yet you gave far more than you ever had to. I thank you 🙏🏾 for that! A thing that upsets me now is the thought of those who had issues with you! It's like your issues now are mine. A spiritual battle I now have to fight is not disliking those who I vividly remember you expressing pain about! Those who have wronged you since momma passed!! That's my immediate fight! But God is faithful! This will pass for me because I still have you in my heart! It sucks for their conscience though so I pray peace over their lives.

Your sense of humor was the best!! Your laugh was contagious! Pitching quarters was our all time favorite. I'm not sure how much money I've beat outta you over the years but I'm sure I'm on top, lol. You taught me always to prepare for the unknown. You would say little cliches that would make sense in the end when you look back on them, but never - EVER - made sense in the moment! I love you, James Coleman. I wasn't your child by birth right but you would never know if someone didn't say it. Memories I'll take with me forever! Sad, yes. Yes I am sad. I'm very sad! Very emotional in moments. I honestly didn't know I'd feel like this but whoever does? Like, who prepares for the day a love one passes and then emotionally walked that thing out the way that they mentally prepared it; I'll wait....

“A Hard Head Makes A Soft....”

As you can tell by the title, this has been a long time coming! As men, we tend to inherit and pass down certain tools to our loved ones that aren’t always a blessing. Sometimes those very tools that are meant to cause a project to be done rather smoothly and efficiently, can be a pure nightmare! That’s been the case for the last three to four years for me. I’ve been working with two pieces of equipment that in all honesty, I’ve done my uncle more shame than good by continuing to work on them. Making the decision wasn’t easy but when I did, I turned to the great people over at Brownells to make sure I was up to date on the proper tools needed to move forward.

First up, I’d like to talk about the new Shop Fox Gunsmith Vise made by Woodstock International. We can’t talk about this awesomeness without paying respect to the dead. My passed down Craftsman 3 1/2 came with one of the mounting holes broken and it had already been welded twice before I got it. Now we’ve spent many nights doing work over and over due to it leaning, not holding support or me having to wedge it to remove a muzzle device. Those days are gone, praise God! With the new Shop Fox Gunsmith Vise, not only does it swivel a full 360 degrees but the set up and flexibility of this vice is simply stunning. One of the major features of this vice that I’m excited about is the modular holes in the walls of the vice. On each side you have two holes that can be used to accommodate a wide variety of custom wooden designs, making it great for gun stock or even luthiery work. This vice is going to be something special and will give my son or daughter something to be happy to inherit, lol.

Next up, is the Wheeler Delta Series AR15 Combo Tool! Now if you’ve done any work on rifles in a vice that actually worked, you now how important these tools are. From removing a muzzle break, to tightening a castle nut or even torquing down a barrel nut to the right specs. To a novice, all these things should be made important but the seasoned builder, you know that your job just got sent to a GunSmith if you didn’t have these tools. The previous wrench I used had teeth that had been worn down from attempted to apply pressure. This Wheeler Combo Tool is so versatile! This tool features hardened barrel nut pins and profiles that fit the buffer tube lock nut and flash hider. I went with this one particular because it also has the cut out for a ½" drive and allows the use with ratchet driver or the included torque wrench. Bit driver and bit holder with six common bits help you work on most parts of the AR-15. Included beam-style torque wrench helps achieve correct torque on AR-15 barrel nut to maximize accuracy potential. This tool was the completion of my upgraded workbench and I couldn't be more excited!

If you're considering doing any upgrades to your workbench, I strongly urge that you consider picking up one of both of these tools. I had someone older share with me once before, “Gammage, all jobs are cut in half with the correct tool. That same job can be said to have a 99% chance of you not having to do it again if you have the correct tools. Now you factor the other side of those numbers and add up how much money you’re losing.” I’m sharing with you guys today that sometimes a hard head makes a soft..... (fill in the blank). Delayed In Iowa

Wow! Wow! Just Woooooow! Who else would like to spend four and half hours sitting on a somewhat soft cushioned chair, in an altitude that seems to be causing the walls of your nose to cave in? Anyone? We’ll guess what, I am and I wouldn’t trade if or anything. Allow you to share with you how I became delayed in Iowa!

To share with you how this entire debacle occured, you must first understand what I’m even doing in Iowa of all places. I’m a country boy from Sylvester, Georgia. Raised in Avon Park, Florida and entrusted with my legacy in Tampa, Florida. So what’s in Iowa? Clearly no sun shines in the heart of April. So what... well only the best 2nd Amendment company in all of the western world, Brownells, Inc. I’m here in Iowa for a weeked at the illustrious Headquarters of Brownells, Inc. for a Bureau of Propaganda (BOP) Field Agent Weekend. I’ll be meeting up with a few other guys from Instagram that I’m familiar with their work but have never met in real life. That all is set to change this weekend. 

Boarding out of TSA in Tampa was quick and easy. Seems everyone wants to fly Delta now that the mandatory mask mandate has been lifted. The lines were backed up out the door. I politely went right back outside and paid my check in at the curb, gladly paid the extra $3 and then proceeded to walk past everyone that clearly had been standing there for a very long time. Security check was quick, BOW👊🏿💢👊🏿BOW! Boarding was great, BOW👊🏿💢👊🏿BOW! Flight was a little rocky but we’ll attribute that to the change in climate. All of that said, here's where the thick of it comes in. 3 and a half hours later, we landed in St. Paul, Iowa. While landing, the pilot comes on the PA and says, “there’s more traffic than usual on the tarmac. We’ll have you guys over as soon as possible. Shortly after this I get an alert on my phone saying the flight has been rescheduled. Now, I don’t fly that often and so I think it strange but again what I can do? We aren’t even standing up to walk up the aisle as of yet. So as we finally do get off the plane you can hear the chattering begin to get louder. Again, I’m from itty bitty Avon Park, by way of Tampa, Florida, and I’m here representing Brownells... I don’t want to be apart of no drama, so I keep it pushing. All of sudden one of the young ladies I remember when flying out of Tampa, begins to shout. She’s saying, “Somebody needs to fix it! Somebody needs to fix it now! I aint playing!” As one who conceal carry, I’m not noisy but my attention is definitely peeked. Come to find out the alert that I received from the Delta App was actually happening; I HAD MISSED MY FREAKING CONNECTING FLIGHT TO DES MOINES!!!! What The Crap!

At this time now I realized I too need to get closer to the crowd of individuals huddled up and conversing. I wait my turn to speak with the attendant and yelp, my connecting flight has already departed. I’ve been automatically rescheduled to the next flight at 7:45pm. Wait, the current time is 3:24pm... My flight left at 3:15pm... We didn’t get off the plane until about 3:10pm... My flight began boarding at 2:45pm... WHILE I WAS STILL IN THE FREAKING AIR!!!! I am now apart of this group of unruly patrons who just want to get where they are going. Likewise, I just want to connect with my BOP Boys and enjoy the weekend! Not yet for me... I’m here at this beautiful airport with 4 hours to make use of. But guess what? I will choose to be happy! I will choose to be thankful! I’ll grab my phone and shoot some content and write and read. I have 4 hours to check some boxes and that’s what I plan to do! I’m sure you’ll hear from me again very soon. What’s Your Why?

When was the last time you paused and considered your Why? Like, why do you do the things that you do? Why are you reading this blog right now? I’m not asking you to consider why you don’t do a certain thing, I’m asking you to consider why you do do certain things. Us focusing on the “Why Not” allows us to see ourselves through a negative lens if we don’t place the proper filters on it. Asking ourselves why we don’t do something is very important and has its place, but for today, I would like us to focus on the “why we do'' do certain things.

I’ll start by sharing my why. You don’t have to be a religious person nor someone of faith in order to know change. Many become familiar with change by way of time itself; in time, all things should change. Anything not changing is dead already (am I right or am I right?). My why came in the form of a heart change. Due to my environment growing up, life caused me to not learn the definition of love nor could I show what I didn’t have knowledge of. I spent a large majority of my life causing a lot of pain to others. My why for hurting people around me was due to me being hurt and making an internal promise that I wouldn’t allow those things to happen ever again. I built walls around my mentals and decided I wasn’t letting anyone close to breach those walls. During these times I handled firearms “illegally” and unfortunately as a result developed a lot of bad habits in firearms safety. Carrying a firearm with no holster, poor storage habits and no sense of ammunition types or ballistics. Even though all this use of firearms existed and the lack of knowledge on love was present, there was still a piece of me on the inside that said better is possible. I had no way of knowing that better would come from the aid of others who didn’t have my same blood nor skin tone.

I graduated from high school with a low D average but that was passing back in 1999 in my small city. I immediately signed up for Junior College but my why was not for the reasons you think. I signed because my friends were telling me that you get all of the money you don’t use back in a pell grant check. I immediately thought I could get money to buy rims for my car; sold. It took me three and a half years to graduate with a two year degree. I transferred from South Florida Community College to THEEEEEE University of South Florida (GOOOO BULLLLLLS)!!! Here is where a new why was revealed and life took an amazing 180 degree turn!

Now that I had moved from my hometown of Avon Park, Florida up to Tampa, Florida, I remember praying and asking God to send me a group of individuals that were serious about growing in their relationship with Him and to help me fight the good fight of Faith. Back home I was so used to the guys I grew up with and the chaos we caused together that I knew the value of having a solid team you’re connected with and so this is the request I made of The Father. He honored that request starting with my (still to this day) best friend, Terrence Jones. He came into my life at a time that I literally had nothing or no one and Him along with a few others, were the foundation blocks of the man the world has access to today! We’re looking at about a 5 year hiatus from all things my old life was connected to: firearms, hair locks, gold teeth, even making music. I was learning first the definition of Love and how I survived the hellashest life growing up due to Love (God) actually loving me first! Not because of anything I had done or could ever do but He loved me first! I learned how to then dispense this same Love towards everyone I come in contact with. 

As a result of being assured that I was loved before the foundations of the world, I have no issue connecting with and showing this love (the Love of God) to complete strangers…now turned friends. These friends and I are now receiving Love and showing Love to one of the best companies in the game, Brownells Inc. What’s my why, you ask… My Why is that all would know the genuine love of the Father and how His love surpasses all our afflictions and limitations. Period. What’s Your Why?

The Growth of Passion

 It had to be roughly about eight years ago when I decided to pick up a firearm and start shooting “legally”. My initial entry into firearms was my older brother given me a Glock 22 (.40cal) and I was estatic! No one could tell me anything! I just knew that this firearm was the best one ever and I was going to learn how to shoot USPSA Matches and everything! No matter how many times my wrist would hurt after shooting it, I decided to buy ammo in bulk. A thousand rounds of .40cal. and I shot at least twice a week just to make sure that I could develop some sort of recoil management; that never happened. I quickly put that firearm in the safe and picked up a KelTec P11. This gun was a 9mm and I just knew if I could conceal it then it would shoot just as great. I began training with the KelTec P11 and noticed that the similar affect was happening to my wrist. Now I'm starting to think that I just have weak areas of my game that I need to work out more but that wasn't the case. What I found out is at this point in life I did not know much about the science behind firearms. I knew I wanted to shoot guns and do hood rat stuff with my friends, but I did not know the scince. The Glock 22 was a .40cal, about 4.25 inches and the KelTec was a 3 inch and essentially I went from one extreme in the .40cal to another extreme in a Micro Carrie. All of this to say my early years of firearm development quickly was met with brutal force and I do not regret any of those days.

That was 2011. Here we are 11 years later and almost 75 different firearms that has finally landed me on my safe queens now. Now don’t let the name “safe queens” fool you. Since connecting with Brownells.com, all of my baby have gotten make overs and we’ve even done a few custom builds that would blow your mind! One of them, an AR9mm, we complete with a Brownells Bureau of Propaganda theme. It’s looks just like the flag and I’m very proud of it.

So you see. From where we started to where we are, the passion has grown. We no longer shoot anything stock. Most of my firearms are ported now and all have some sort of optic on them. I refuse to even wear run of meel holsters now. Where at one point I thought it ridiculous to spend over $50 on a holster; now my average holster cost about $130. Again, money isn’t the factor of the growth of passion...it’s knowledge. Knowledge will cause you to no longer allow money to limit your creativity and wisdom. 

Another thing that will remove limits from your mental and allow the passion within you to grow is connecting to the right people. I forever be thankful for the BOP Family of BrownellsINC. Each of them inspire and stretch my creativity on gun builds to enhance their functionality, as well as, there sex appeal. I love showing up to the range and pulling out an amazing looking firearm but then it performing better than it looks! NO GREATER FEELING! I also want to thank you for making this far. You are the ones that I do it for. Not to have significant numbers, there are guys to speak to those people with itching ears. Viva Las Vegas!!

What’s up, Guys! So happy you came back to check out another throw-up moment for me! My wife and I recently celebrated our 12 years wedding anniversary and we did it in high fashion! We checked off a trip we both had been desiring to do since before we got married; travel and experience Las Vegas! Today I’ll share a few pictures of our trip but I if I may, I’d like to also share why such a milestone of marriage is important to me.

The Gammage’s met in Tampa, Florida at Revealing Truth Ministries in 2003, dated for 4 years and have been married for 12 years.  I attended Avon Park High School, in Avon Park, FL. and continued my studies at the University of South Florida where I obtained an Associates in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelors in Special Education.  I’m also an NRA Certified Firearm Instructor, Proud Bureau of Propaganda Field Agent and owner of Gammunition Arms Training, LLC.  My wife attended Tampa Bay Technical High School and is a certified Organizational Specialist and owner of SoVari Tidy Organizing and Purging.

Avari and I are true leaders in the Christian community who share our gifts through teaching and song.  We have written and produced Christian music and performed nationwide.  We’ve have been intentional in merging our respective talents in the music industry.  With my skills in teaching and rapping and Avari’s illustrious voice and developmental skills, we have achieved many milestones. One was when we were both signed to Sound Right Music/DMG of Universal with five recorded and released albums between the two of us.  We’ve traveled around the world preaching the gospel through Teaching, Hip Hop and R&B, branched out and produced three solo albums, Love Destroys the Pain (2007), Breeding Grounds (2010) and Mahogany Doors (2017), wrote and sang the jingle for It Works! company, co-wrote 2 albums for Revealing Truth Ministries, co-wrote and recorded the Validated Men's Group Anthem called “Validated” and also wrote and sang the theme song for Outreach and Global Missions called Beautiful Tapestry.

Faith is the center of the our family as well as an emphasis on the family.  We are dedicated members of Revealing Truth Ministries, and hold several roles and positions of leadership amongst us.  I’m a Pastor of The Gospel of Jesus Christ, a Youth Pastor of U.R. Student Ministries at Revealing Truth Ministries, and a Spiritual Marriage/Pre-Marital Counselor.  I’m also a founding member of Psi Mu Epsilon Fraternity, Inc., a faith based greek organization focused on God, Servanthood, Trust, Boldness, Peace, Discipline, and Spiritual-Growth. My lovely wife is also an ordained Pastor and mentors young ladies with a mission of helping them to see beyond their reality and find hope. Avari also oversees the Creative Arts Ministry at Revealing Truth Ministries and has been leading Worship at our local church for over 12 years and is honored to usher in the spirit of Christ and lead people to worship. We hold dear to Servant Leadership and value greatly serving the community and the Body of Christ through Revealing Truth Ministries and honoring our Pastors, Bryan and Rashida Powe, and the Legacy of our Founding Pastors, Greg & Deborah Powe.

Despite all of our achievements, we believe our most honorable gift in our union are our two kids, Londyn (9) and Ryley (7).  Although we have very busy schedules, we continue to keep the stewardship of our kids the center of our focus and are always willing to make time for their favorite musical or animated movie.  Our Family mantra is centered around being mindful that today we are building on the foundation. For us, it's always building season. You never arrive.  This way of life has been the strength and key to keeping a cohesive family unit. We move as one, laying brick by brick with caution and care. With my background as a certified SYMBIS Marriage Counselor, we have been afforded the ability to have tools to be happily married. Our commitment to one another has been tried, tested and is proven to be true. Whenever I’m asked about the keys to a successful marriage, I reply, "A successful marriage yields their desires and motives to the Holy Spirit. The number two secret to having a successful marriage is to never compare, never complain and to never compete. You two will make history together; for the positive or the negative."

Good Bye 2021...You Were Great!

Good morning, Good Evening and Good Night, wherever you are when you’ve clicked on this blog. LISTTTEENN!!! 2021 was an amazing year! Before I say goodbye to it, I’d love to walk back over the year and just share some highlights and standout moments that existed for me. 

In June, I put together the “IG Range Day”. This day consisted of about 30 plus ladies and gents from around the state of Florida, as well as, Georgia and Alabama. This event was brought on by seeing a group of guys out of North Texas do the same thing. So I decided, “Why. not start a IG Group Chat with a few people that you chat with often?” Well, I did and the IG Content Extravaganza (what a corny name lol) was birthed. It went over without a glitch. Many of those guys established friendships for the first time that leading up and then on the event and have maintained those friendships since then! 

Three of the guys, Triggered_Dad (Dalton), Darius (DeeezGains) and Josh (JayWeth) have remained super close FRIENDS and our relationships have flourished. We formed a group since then called #SquadDrills. Our goal is to bring ladies and gentlemen together to train and enjoy the growing pains of firearms safety and proficiency. Our motto is “Progress Not Perfection”. We believe that learning, growing and getting better at our love for firearms shouldn’t have to be done through yelling, screaming and profanity! Getting better should be met with smiles, laughing and correction through love; that’s how we build bonds and grow our community. 

Meeting JJ Racaza, International Super Star, Grand Master and all around Amazing Guy, was another treat for 2021. I’ve not only gotten to shoot with some great people but I’ve also grown in representing the brand of Brownells. We’ve been able to do so much through the affiliate brandchamp side of Brownells. 2021 was largely made possible due to the generosity of Brownells. Not only being able to offer such affordable prices for everyday use items in our field, but their extremely quick shipping adds to how special they are. I’ve been approached by a few other companies to represent them via social media and I’ve denied it. I’ve turned it down 1) because I’m not one to just mention your name for name sake. 2) I’m just a country boy from Avon Park, FL. I’m no paid solicitor nor do I desire to be a spokesman for a company that I don’t even know. I’m thankful for Darius getting me connect with such a company as this. I believe in everything they believe and have connected with many other Field Agents that absolutely rock! It’s safe to say that I see myself being a Field Agent for Life and I love it!

Hello, 2022! This year I welcome you but I don’t welcome you alone! This time I’m coming with a SQAUD! We’ve met and began to carve out a path for ourselves and The Four Hoursemen, along with the rest of the squad, will most definitely be causing waves in the Gun Community this year. If you’re in the Tampa Bay area and are looking for others to connect with and grow with, then look no further. No only do we gather frequently to train and have fun, we also communicate off the range to keep each other accountable. We believe in Husbands being faithful to their Wife and vice versa. We believe in Fathers being active in their children(s) lives. We honor Family being first before a range day or event. Daddy Daughter Range Day

 Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen! Good Morning, Good Evening and Good Night to you wherever you are in the world! Today I am sooooo excited to tell you guys about such an amazing day I recently had with my oldest child. The day was long anticipated and yet it felt like it was over so quickly. 

My daughter’s name is Londyn. She is such a vibrant, witty and compassionate young lady. At only 9 years of age, she’s gifted and has the mental wherewithal of a 14 or 15 year old. So bright! Being that I’m a NRA Firearms Instructor, my children have been exposed to being around firearms safely since each of them were born. Londyn often would come into Daddy's Man Cave and do minimal tasks; refill ammo boxes, organize cleaning rods or even empty rounds from standing magazines. She’s been “working” with daddy since she was about 4 or 5 years old. I could have taken her to the gun range sooner, but I told her years ago that she couldn’t go until she was 9 years old and committed that age to memory! Year after year, she grew more and more comfortable and I began to allow her to dry fire empty firearms with me. During this time, her love for firearms and the safety of them continue to flourish! We would dry fire together at least once a week. Her skillset grew and the 6, 7 and then 8 year old, finally turned 9 and it was go time!

One night in late November, the night before our range trip, Londyn asked me about the Brownells Premium Electronic Ear Muffs (she just called them Electronic Headphones). I told her, “Daddy doesn’t allow people to use these. These are special and they’re meant for only the Instructor or someone who desires to be an Instructor.” Londyn looked up and me with one hand still in my range bag and the other on the headphones and said, “But if you’re an Instructor and I know what you know... doesn’t that make me at least an Instructor in that’s just isn’t teaching people?” I had not quick comeback. I simply stated, “Londyn, put my headphones down and those over there are yours.” lol. Needless to say she wore my Brownells Premium Electronic Ear Muffs and she absolutely loved them. 

I’ve since put together a Youtube video documenting our time. She even made fun of me throughout the making note of how many times I would keep mentioning the name “Brownells”. It was as if she worked for someone and was hired to keep track of my “Brownells'' comments. Intro To Field Agent Status

What’s up, Gang Gang! It’s been a minute since the last time I’ve come baring gifts of the pen...BUT I”M BAAACKKKKKKK!!

From the title you can possibly gather where we’re going with this one. Today I want to bring you guys up to speed on a new amazing opportunity I’ve been given. The title of Field Agent is usually reserve for one who works for an organization outside of the 4 cornered office. A Field Agent’s office of choice is usually that of the open road, shaking and baking, the highways and the hedges...You get where I’m coming from. A Field Agent is one who represents their organization wherever you see them at.

In closing, I plan to bring to the table and highlight a lot more products and equipment from Brownells. Not only am I raving about their products but the customer service is second to only my mother; because even my wife gets fussy every now and then.
