Why COVID-19 spreading is actually serious!

Alright, so you may be thinking ‘who cares, it’s just a bad cold!’ and for most people, this will be the case. 90% of people will have just a bad cold, it will suck, but they won’t need a hospital.

But 10% of us are ‘high risk’. We’re elderly, immunocompromised, we have pre-existing lung conditions such as COPD, Asthma, Chronic Bronchitis, or Cancer. When we get the common cold, it’s a bad cold. When we get COVID-19 we require hospitalization and intubation.

With how fast and easily it spreads without containment, this means a lot of cases, very quickly. My area in the next 5 days is looking at 3733 cases. Which doesn’t sound like a lot and 10% is only 373 cases needing hospital and intubation… except my province has only 300 beds that can intubate. In just 5-10 days, depending on how well we contain it, we will have to begin deciding who gets intubated, and who dies based on who has the best odds of survival

YOU might be fine. Your high-risk loved ones will probably not be, and you know more of us than you think you do. Please, please take this seriously, because even though you might be okay, and you probably don’t have to panic, we’re genuinely terrified. We don’t want to die a slow, painful death.

Sabletooth's a rude, crude, good for nothing dude. He’s lived a majority of his life fighting for the deputy spot, at the very least. He always wanted to be something more in his life, but never was really special enough for it. Now, as a senior warrior and past his prime, he’s learnt to let go and go with the flow. I give him a 7/10.
