Striker really has wound up in that Adam 'Fuck-You-Goatman' Taurus position of ‘glorified goon/henchman/thug who milks a tragic backstory for ego-points and gets off on bullying those he considers beneath him’ that a chunk of the fandom really latched onto solely because he has a cool/sexy-bad-boy aesthetic to the point where they didn’t get the memo about him being a glorified goon/henchmen/thug and now get pissy and whiny to the creators about his ‘wasted potential’ whenever he acts like a glorified goon/henchman/thug and doesn’t conform to their headcanons, hasn't he?
Im not sure how that relates to me or my drawings but
Ye Striker is a selfish, cruel villan
His motivations as far as we r aware come from a place of need for revenge and frustration caused by the fact that in this society he's the oppressed and not the oppressor
We haven't seen his backstory yet but i doubt it will redeem him in any way or make us sympathize with him
For me the lack of human emotions and empathy that we see being displayed from him is purposefully set up as a contrast to blitz
Even tho both of them have somewhat grey morality and aren't exactly good ppl, tho its worth noting that striker is way more extremist in his actions, we can see that blitz cares abt those around him, which is not the case for striker
In the end I think he's written very well and i can't wait to see more of him
