[id: tumblr tags reading 'dude This Fucking Rules', 'holy fucking shit! that was legit so cool?', 'holy shit that is fucking metal', 'oh this fucks severely', 'yeah no this fucking SLAPS', 'yo this RULES']
i go absolutely ape shit buck wild when people ask me if i want to run errands with them like Let’s Fucking Go. and my mind absolutely maxes out of dopamine when they ask if i wanna stop for coffee. and if someone took me to the park id go bonkers in funcking yonkers
Fun fact: if you, as an adult, tell miserable children that their youth is the best that life will ever be, and that it's all just downhill from there, there's a percentage of them who will hear this and think "well, I guess I better kill myself before that happens." And a certain percentage of those will proceed to do that and succeed.
Anyway what I'm saying is that any time you feel tempted to say that, you should instead consider shutting the fuck up. Just because you peaked at 16 doesn't mean anyone else did. Most peoples' lives get better than that.
I wish the cross would be erased and christianity would just go away.
How many people have been killed in the name of jesus? How many of the killers called themselves christians?
How many cultures and peoples have been eradicated in the name of a god of peace?
The swastika was a bastardized symbol from ANOTHER probably bigger belief system, yet it’s still fucking seen as a hate symbol.
How many politicians and rulers have decreed children should die while wearing a cross around their necks? How many abused children while wearing one? Abused women? Queer people? People of color?
How many christians in the US ate people? How many killed enslaved men and women with smiles on their faces?
How many lynchings were and are being done by christians? All of them? Most? It’s not none of them. They wouldn’t burn the cross otherwise.
How many American gestapo are christian? How many of the nazis?
Obviously I get the religion doesn’t stand for that on the page, but world history tells a different story written in the blood of countless innocents.
How much bad can be done in the name of something good before it is no longer good?
One of my favourite genres of animal videos on the internet are the ones where an exotic pet is being held by a person in a way that prompts someone in the comments to ask whether handling this beastie this way is ok and safe. And someone with more experience of these creatures replies something along the lines of
"yeah, that is a fully grown, alert and very healthy adult [latin name], who is displaying excited body language but is moving voluntarily and is clearly not being held against its will. That animal is exactly where it wants to be and if it didn't want to be handled like that, the handler would be missing an arm."
The older I get, the more my autistic traits have come to the forefront of everything all the time
It’s especially difficult when I’ve accepted that the field I find the most rewarding and fulfilling, theatre, is incredibly ableist. And I hate that
Being a director and finding jobs as one is nearly impossible if you’re not on the ground talking to literally everyone on a production you saw, or have already worked with members of a company.
Shits rough in that avenue as an autistic woman who really couldn’t give a shit about being close with everyone. I’m an artist and just want to focus on the art since that’s the best way of communication and relating for me.
Like I’ll feel so much more fulfilled in a conversation if we can discuss intricacies of directing, or genres, or specific plays. I think if directors were able to just talk about it without the expectation of going out for drinks, or meals, or whatever in highly overstimulating places, we would have so many beautiful points of view added into the pot that is the stew of theatre.
Imagine autistic directors and designers who can focus on the art without the politics of being in a company. Like how cool would that be
How cool would it be if casting directors actually considered autistic people as actors? How many people would get cast regardless of physical stims?
Imagine not having to dance around making authorities who already don’t like you, like you. Imagine your capabilities not being measured by social success
My least favorite part of being an artist who writes is that I always have to consider Christianity. It looms over art like some distance volcano, influencing all the legend and myths I would create.
If I had a choice, I would write without considering that religion. But even the choice of ignoring it is acknowledging Christianity anyways.
"just because somebody disagrees with you doesn't make them a nazi" technically true statement that is still really only exclusively ever said by people with a higher than 90% nazi quotient
