the wind was cool against her cheeks as she walked through the woods. she loved walking through the woods on campus. she made her way back to her apartment. she smiled to herself as she saw damien sitting on the small bridge. “i didn’t know anyone else knew about this, but it doesn’t surprise me that you know about.” she told him taking a seat down next him. 

damien turned his attention back to the water, watching it smoothly glide down, unbothered. he smiled to himself when she sat next to him, appreciating her warmth. “of course i know about it. i know all the secrets, i figured you should know that by now,” he teased, nudging her playfully with his elbow.

damien sat on the edge of the bridge, swinging his feet. It was a small bridge connecting the river that ran through the park, and really if he leaned down just a little more the cold water would have started to soak through his shoes. he wasn’t sure what he was doing there, only that the sound of the water and the wind through the trees could sometimes dull the sound of his own thoughts. he heard leaves crunching a little too close to him and looked up nervously, but was relieved to see katelyn approaching him. 

“you must have been a hide and seek champion as a kid,” he joked, hinting at his surprise that she had was able to find him so quickly. “unless you’re out here on your own, then this is just a lovely coincidence.”

katie laughed as she wrapped her arm around emma’s, “i learn from the best.” hazel eyes traveled from her sister to him. he was dressed head to toe in all black, who gave him the right to look that good? his words surrounded her and made her whole body swell. god, she was so in love with him. she made her way over to him, placed her hand on his chest, “you don’t look so bad yourself.” she told him, looking up at him through her long lashes. she smirked and took a step around him, her hand leaving his chest as she made her way to the door.  

“As if,” Emma argued, playfully pushing her sister but keeping close. Ray was one of Emma’s best friends, but what she loved most about him is that when Katelyn and him would let their guards down, they brought the best out of each other. Katelyn’s honest smile was the greatest gift Ray could ever give Emma, and despite all the drama, she would be forever grateful. Emma rolled her eyes at their useless flirting and turned her attention to Sage, giggling lightly when Sage made a gagging gesture to mock their friends. Phantom stood there, taking her in. He could already tell Paris was going to be something to remember. He would follow her anywhere if she just kept looking at him like that. “Hey, don’t run off too fast gorgeous. We don’t need you getting lost now, do we?”
