WHAT IS A CBC?
CBC stands for "character based character," which essentially means an OC based on an existing fictional character! this does NOT mean an OC based on someone else's OC, as that is stealing (unless permission by the original character's owner is explicitly given).
CBCs can apply to rpf, however i'm against rpf so i will not feature any of that on my blog! if that's your thing, i will not go out of my way to yuck your yum, though.
CBCs are most commonly human(oid) characters turned into animals. animal -> human, human -> human, and animal -> animal CBCs do exist, though!
my main fandom is PROJECT SEKAI, but i do dabble in VOCALOID sometimes! TSUKASA TENMA, RUI KAMISHIRO, and sometimes KAITO are my main CBCs.
