prompting a potential crash course on radiance with @cctaehyung.
the card lies in a lesser-trodden corner of the shop when she finds it. all it displays is the smiling face of a beautiful girl, hands pressed to her cheeks and one eye closed in what must be a practiced wink. jinye scoffs to herself as she examines it; it’d be better to keep it behind the counter until someone asks after it, right? staring down the idol’s captured cuteness, she hopes she’s right in assuming the owner will be back for it soon.
she’s not. more than a week passes before jinye considers leaving it out, but the thought of a customer snatching it up while she’s tending to something has her keep the card out of sight—most of the time, anyway. right now, she holds it up, typing “radiance group” on her phone to see if she might recognize any of their members. she’s not really sure why she didn’t just look them up as soon as she read the name in the group logo, but she supposes it doesn’t make a difference when she’s not going to do anything besides maybe check out a music video or two with whatever she learns. five minutes later, when she recognizes one of their album covers, she realizes that there’s actually a whole lot more she could do with her discovery. well, possibly.
jinye brings the card with her the next time she walks into headquarters, wandering around for a bit before she finds who she’s looking for. in perhaps ideal circumstances, ricky is listening to music by himself yet again when she spots him, so she only feels a little nervous walking over with wallet in hand. she debates whether to speak up or show him the card first, but the latter option wins out by instinct; when she stops right in front of the other hero, she’s holding up her find between two fingers. “hello there! um, i think you know who this is? i was going to ask if she’s your favorite, but then i forgot her name, so... would you mind jogging my memory? and maybe help me learn the names of the other girls in radiance. that’s probably the best place to start if i want to check them out, right?” she stumbles on her own foot when she tries to adjust her stance, hopping forward with a wince. “oh, mine is jinye, by the way! i mean, my name is jinye.”

how to be a clueless messenger; or, a delivery for @cceunki.
it's safe to say that jinye can get carried away with placing herself in customers’ shoes. it feels as if she’s overflowing with affection a lot of the time, so it seems apt to channel some of it into work; in fact, that’s part of why she’d found her parents’ dream so enticing. now, she’s encouraged by the romantic reasons many visitors have for stopping by to place orders. there’s something satisfying about imagining what it’d be like for her to have someone like that in her life, a special person she reserves her most meaningful flower arrangements for. daydreaming just... soothes her.
so yes, she is proud of what she makes for a girl who couldn’t be anything but lovesick when she comes in to make her request. jinye has to try multiple times to get the small bouquet in a recognizable heart shape, and then to stick the last red rose through the rest of them as if it’s an arrow, but it makes her feel all the more accomplished once she’s got it done right. god, she’ll never tire of people’s creativity when it comes to expressing love.
jinye is all smiles as she bikes down the street, her finished order sitting inside her basket in all its scarlet glory. she gets a different kind of satisfaction out of chances to show off individual displays like this—not to stroke her ego, no, but to see just how many people she can make smile with the sight of a cheery girl on her way to give someone a lovingly-made bouquet. she carries this joy with her all the way to her destination, announcing her presence with a meek clearing of her throat. “i’ve got something special here for a mister... hong eunki!”

“Thank you so much,” she says with a smile. She looks for something to sign and give to the flower shop employee. “Jinye, right?” she asks with a small smile. Finding nothing to sign at the moment, she settles for one of the extra CDs they have. Flipping to her own page, she signs quickly. “How long have you been working with flowers?”
mission accomplished. jinye notes this with a happy smile of her own as she watches the idol’s reaction, letting out a breath with a nod. “of course! it felt wrong to prepare bouquets for every member of a girl group but one, even if she was the one who placed the order. though, maybe it’d be better to say especially so, since you put the thought into spoiling the rest of your members like this.” she tries to swallow down the sudden feeling of embarrassment as praises leave her lips, barely able to quit babbling. she’s such a softhearted sucker.
her eyes widen at seeing mina reach for a cd to sign, quick to fan her cheeks while the idol turns to a suitable page. “ah, right.” she really won’t be able to leave without turning red in the face, will she? it’s only after clearing her throat that jinye can muster words to answer the unexpected question to follow. “um, officially, since high school. but our shop started with my parents, so i’ve been helping out for as long as they’ve had the place.” her back straightens as she explains herself, mouth upturned into a slight smile as she briefly reminisces carnation’s beginnings. “it’s close to a lifelong career for me, considering how long they wanted to open a flower shop.” a clatter behind them reminds her of where they are, and jinye shakes her head with a sigh.
"anyway, i hope your members appreciate the flowers, too! it was nice being able to make use of the tulips we’ve got. there’s still some leftover, of course, in case someone else actually requests for them for something, but... ah, you don’t need to hear all that rambling.” she bites her lip, squirming for a moment, before looking over to see where mina signed. “oh, i hadn’t actually seen the pictures for this! you look so beautiful here, wow.” she catches herself with a sheepish grin, holding a hand over her mouth. “but that’s to be expected, right? especially of you.”
jinye shakes her head again, pressing a palm against her cheek as she tilts her head to the side. “i’m sorry if that’s all i can properly comment on.” leaning in a bit so she can lower her voice, she confesses: “i can’t say i’ve listened closely to your group, but i haven’t really done that with any groups, yet. if you’ve got a song to recommend, though—a favorite, i mean—i’ll be sure to check it out first! what better group to start with than yours, right?”

[Korean ASMR] Healing Fairy RP #6!
uploaded on halloween:
hello friends, this is ami! with my backlog of fairy roleplay ideas, i thought i should use one for a halloween-themed video ^^ it’s more sweet than spooky, but i hope you enjoy it all the same~ have a happy halloween, everybody! try not to go overboard with eating sweets, hehe.
— you’re quite lucky to be friends with fairies, you know? you’re invited to their halloween party despite not having any magic, and you even get help putting together a costume that helps you blend in better among the rest of the guests! however, this costume cannot save you from mischievous tricks; it’s a good thing the healing fairy was around when you lost consciousness! don’t worry, she’ll undo the inconvenient curse you picked up…

“this is beautiful!” she beams. “oh my god!! the flowers and the colors and- how long did it take you to spell my name? oh my god, i don’t think i could ever be able to do this…” she continues looking at it admiringly before looking back at jinye. “thank you! oh my god, how could i ever repay you? i can’t thank you enough!” she stops to look at the basket, then back up at the girl, down the basket, up again. “… can i hug you?”
“oh, i’m glad to hear it,” she remarks in the midst of mina’s babbling. she’s almost certain the words will go unheard, but it’s true—a joyous reaction is all jinye ever hopes for, especially with little projects like this. there simply is nothing better than being the reason for someone else’s happiness, even if it lasts only as long as the flowers do.
she laughs when mina mentions the wire, motioning back to the counter. “i wouldn’t have thought of it if a fellow fan hadn’t given me much prettier materials to spell out their idol’s name for a bouquet. thanks to that, it didn’t take too long to make it legible this time around!” but soon she’s scoffing, a frown briefly passing over her features. “no, no, this is a present! i make baskets like this all the time, you know. the love for love note i see everywhere just… inspired me to make this one personalized. it’s good to know that that idea was worth realizing.” she doesn’t think much of mina’s shifting stare, thoughts slowly building into an idea to offer to the girl. “hm, maybe—”
the younger girl’s request is so sudden, jinye momentarily forgets what she’d just decided to ask her. she’s just so touched by this appreciation that she automatically holds out her arms, not accounting for the basket until after she’s made the movement. “aha, well, we should probably get that out of the way first, but of course you can!” her present promptly finds a place on the floor beside them so jinye can oblige mina with a warm embrace, which she gives with giggles she can’t hold back.
“ah!” she blurts without warning, stepping back and clapping her hands. “i got it! if you’re going to be serious about repaying me, why don’t you let me see you dance sometime? the most i’ve seen from fans is through customers here, and it’d be nice to have a chance to support what you do, too.” jinye’s thoughts are already racing far ahead of this first suggestion, so she winds up shaking her head to dismiss them. “as long as you’re okay with that, of course! or that i won’t somehow get in the way. maybe when you’re just practicing something?”
[Korean ASMR] Sweet Girlfriend RP - 2nd Anni Special!
uploaded sometime in september...
hello friends, this is ami! this year, i decided to introduce a new kind of roleplay for the channel: the girlfriend~♥ i’m just trying it out to see how comfortable i can get in this role for you guys, so i’m sorry if this video’s actually super awkward to watch TT let me know if this is something you’d want to see more of, and how i could do better. oh, and happy anniversary to us~!
— you and ami have been dating for some time now, and today’s your anniversary! unfortunately, work keeps you apart for most of the day, but neither of you want to move a celebratory date to another day, so you meet her at home late into the evening. it ends up being childishly simple, but it’s okay if your girlfriend helps you get some rest, right?

how not to keep a hobby secret; or, going on a tingly tangent with @ccminseok.
oh, how jinye appreciates a chance to chat about what she does on youtube. asmr is not something easy to explain to those unfamiliar with it, so she’s sure to get attached to anyone who reacts with curiosity. the fact that her channel is far from the top search results actually makes her feel safe because of this fact; one click would give her away as an active content creator, since she can’t help but integrate her passion for flowers into her videos. she would hate to alienate anyone because they find her hobby unappealing.
fortunately, there’s someone willing to learn more about it within the shop itself. if jinye’s honest with herself, she doesn’t have a high opinion of minseok when he first starts work in carnation; but then he takes a genuine interest when she mentions asmr in passing, to explain why she’s picking out certain scrap material to keep for herself, and her impression of him considerably brightens. now, she’s comfortable enough to bring up the topic during the slow business hours they share, freely talking about what she’s got scheduled to fill the silence. she may not rely on the man for proper feedback, or even for developing ideas, but she’s happy enough to share what she usually saves for a couple of close friends—and, of course, the online community she makes videos for.
the lack of activity leads jinye to fuss with her fairy ‘costumes’ right in front of the counter, replacing the tape that holds rows of hairpins and clusters of fake flowers together. she goes as far as laying them out in a row, arranging them from cool to warm colors, when she notices one headpiece has gone crooked. “oh, no,” she blurts out upon holding it closer; one of the hairpins is missing. the rest of the makeshift clips are double-checked before being stowed in her bag, leaving out only the yellow while she drops down to waddle around the counter. “hm... it can’t have fallen far...”
yet her scan yields just a couple of fallen leaves. jinye huffs as she straightens. “um, minseok?” she calls out, already beginning to circle around each separate display of pre-made bouquets. though her decoration is fine without the extra pin, she worries where it could possibly end up if carelessly swept here or there; in her mind, even a small stray hair accessory could make her open secret even more obvious. “have you seen a hairpin lying around anywhere? i lost one.”
{ hello, just letting everyone know i'm changing my ooc alias to yelle— it’s been on my mind on / off for a while, since yi stems from an old muse, but i thought to finally do it ^^ and on another note, seeing as i tend to be active in short bursts, i’ll be trying to change how i deal with drafts. hopefully this lets me write with more of you soon!

His eyes asks, and when he takes a breath it’s too quick from the drug he took. Mark takes a step away and pulls a chair out and he sits, some reflex to his grace. He crosses his arms and just sits there, disregarding the stranger just like that. He runs a hand through his hair, in hope to fix the little strand out of the place–everything seems so out of place these days.
she has a greeting ready on her lips when she hears someone enter the room, but it melts away in silence as she turns to see just who it is she’s been made to deliver flowers to. there has to be a mistake here, some kind of misunderstanding. jinye doesn’t know whether to pin that on the sender or herself yet, but the feeling is so strong, it must be true. if not, well, she’s going to need to take her time processing how this incredibly specific gift is meant for a member of the governing body.
the way the man only spares her one look before seeming to lose himself in his thoughts spurs jinye to fill the quiet on her own. she has no way of tracking down who sent the details of this order, so her only hope at making sense of any of this is through him; and, in any case, she always strives to be as friendly as possible while representing the family business. with a couple of steps and a hand on her delivery, she brings the pink display closer to him, plastering on a polite smile. “uh, hello—to be honest, i’m not sure if i’ve got the right person, but an anonymous order told me to bring this basket here today. it’s supposed to be from a secret admirer, so i was only told what to put together and where to bring it. if you or someone else coming in here knows they’ve got someone who’s fond of them... that would be very helpful in letting me know that this was a legitimate request, not just some prank.”
with her words comes the realization that more highly regarded people in the league could be due to arrive at any moment, and her voice goes just a little bit higher in pitch as she struggles to decide what’s more worthwhile to say before anyone else arrives. “would you accept this gift, then? or do you believe it might be meant for someone else?“ she glances down the table, unable to hide a frown as she imagines the surrounding chairs filling up with league officials. “um, either way, is there any place that might be better to leave this? an office, perhaps? oh, no, wait, i probably wouldn’t be allowed to enter...”
she stops to take a deep breath, unconsciously leaning towards the flowers to better inhale their scent. “i guess it’s better to ask this: is it alright to leave these here, on the table, or should i place them on the side of the room?” the fleeting image of her basket getting in the way of people entering the room has her tack on, “just outside, maybe? or some place i can leave them without having to worry someone might come and take them for whatever reason?”
repurposing blooms for a blossoming beauty; or, a surprise for @ccmina.
discovering the talents that fans use to show their love for their idols has been thoroughly entertaining. jinye’s forgotten shop responsibilities more than once because she’s gotten lost on the part of youtube filled by kpop covers. though she feels guilty, the passion these fans show is so admirable that she can’t bear to tear her eyes away, let alone stop watching and do some work. it’s the same reason she’s grown rather fond of the fans who come in to order flowers for the celebrities: they have a uniquely pure love, and there’s nothing she can appreciate more than that.
now, mina is a friend made from serendipitous circumstances. jinye finds her downright adorable, and the younger girl’s love for the very girl group jinye’s seemingly set to fall for is something she plans on taking advantage of, when she’s ready to figure out who her favorite in the group might be. of course, being determined to stall that as long as she can, she focuses on the other whenever love note is brought up, soaking up the girl’s enthusiasm with a bright smile. it’s an excitement that stays with her, even after they part ways till next time.
it’s this lingering image of the smiling girl that has jinye gathering a specific portion of scraps from carefully crafted bouquets, one day. she actually sketches out a fuzzy outline of what she wants to make, setting aside a small wicker basket and floral foam to put to use once she’s got all the pieces she needs. she ends up making a zigzagging, multi-color display of trimmed flowers and leaves to fit the top portion of a foam sphere fitted on the bottom of a circular basket; remembering what a previous order had provided her with, she attempts spelling out mina’s full name in floral wire, tucking them into the front of the basket once she’s satisfied. “oh, i wish i had beads... it’s so plain like this.”
still, she wears a proud smile when they meet again, presenting the basket from behind her back with a flourish. “ta-da! a little something for my favorite fangirl.” jinye quiets just long enough to adjust the wire that’s turned mina’s name lopsided over the wicker. “i hope i represented the girls’ colors well enough. but then again, i’ve had plenty of practice with what orders come in.” she clears her throat; that didn’t sound like bragging, did it? “anyway. how do you like it?”
when you compromise for competition’s sake; or, a deal made with @ccxjoshua.
the reality of the governing body’s task for the rookies definitely worries jinye. when she’d learned that busan was in consideration for an elite mission, she believed they were in for an evaluation as a whole against the other leagues overseas, not being split and pitted against each other for ‘friendly competition.’ no amount of emphasis on the first half of the phrase can ease her nerves; instead, she relies on lessening the competitive aspect in her participation.
in other words, whatever plans she had for teaming up with other rotation b heroes are scrapped in favor of seeking out violent monsters by herself whenever possible. there’s no doubt at least some of the others enjoy the terms of the challenge much more than she does, and she’d rather not cause unnecessary conflict over whether this whole thing is a good idea. besides, she’s become used to designating herself a support figure in battle; this is the perfect chance to see if she can actually defeat something as the monster’s only opponent, rather than the girl helping the real fighter get the final blow.
a hero from the other rotation repeatedly appearing out of nowhere to chase down the same monster she’s after, then, predictably adds to jinye’s stress. fortunately, jisoo doesn’t seem to be the type to take the competitive angle of their task to heart, to the point she feels something like regret when she gives up on a monster to avoid fighting over who gets the kill. over time, the encounters look more like an unlikely opportunity than an unlucky set of coincidences; whatever it is that keeps bringing them together, she’s just going to trust.
when she catches sight of jisoo again, she’s mere blocks away from the shop, having just discovered a monster after work. this particular target is almost certainly lower leveled, but she still finds the other hero to be a welcome presence during the chase. so, despite the slight risk of losing sight of the creature, she turns her head to flash a warm smile to the male. “um, hello again! hey, we should set up a system or something, since we keep finding the same monster to follow.” ah, that doesn’t sound quite right. “i mean, a partnership!” she pauses to catch her breath, right as the monster takes a sharp turn. “would you mind that? being partners, when we’re on different rotations?”
