It’s also how he gains some new information…

Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington have been officially, but semi-secretly, dating for a couple weeks now.

They were in Eddie’s room, making out, half naked, when the walls of the trailer start to rumble. They immediately run out of Eddie’s room, not bothering to put their shirts back on, to see what’s happened. They find Wayne sitting on the couch, looking at them with a questioning look; until he sneezes again, while the trailer once again shakes.

Steve is the one to shyly say, ‘bless you.’

After a beat of silence, Wayne speaks up, and assures them, mostly Eddie, that as long as they’re happy and safe, that’s all that matters.

With one more sneeze from Wayne, it shakes any lingering awkwardness out of them.

And so, that’s how Eddie and Steve, accidentally told Wayne they were together.

“you could’ve really shot me, oh my goodness, what was I thinking? You know I wasn’t really thinking when I climbed up here, and that’s dumb on my part, I should’ve known bet-“

“-ter. Sorry.”

“Why didn’t you just go to Steve’s?”

“Eddie.”

“Right.”

“So…”

“I should g-“

“You climbed up to my window, and snuck into my room, might as well stay now.”

“Cool. Thanks.”

“Can I ask why you’re not at home?”

“Too many nightmares, and way too many questions from my parents. Usually, I spend the night at Steve’s, but I think I’ll have way worse nightmares from having to see Steve and Eddie be all cutesy.”

“You can say that again.”

“Are you, and Steve, you and Jonathan… okay?”

“Oh no. No. We’re good. Steve told me himself that he was dating Eddie. I think Eddie’s good for him. Jonathan and I, well, I think we’ll be okay. It’s just…”

“You wish you could be cutesy with someone who’s right for you.”

“Yeah. You too?”

“Oh yeah.”

“Anyone particular comes to mind?”

That’s when things get quiet and a little tense, as Robin slowly turns to look at Nancy.

“There’s someone in mind. You?”

Nancy slowly looks at Robin.

“I think so. Yeah.”

What started as two women who seemed to be on two different wavelengths, start to become something of an ocean. And with Robin’s summer of ‘85 background at Scoops Ahoy, Nancy might be sailing an ocean of flavor very soon. A flavor she’ll call her favorite.

Its like passive income but it actually works to make me happy.

Honestly though, comments like that are gold to me. I love to write and a comment telling me that something I’ve done has improved someone’s life even in a small way? That’s impact. We live in societies that tell us over and over we have no value and nothing we do is ever good enough. So for someone to post a comment telling us that we improved their lives with our stories? That tells us our effort had value. We writers set out to improve the world in tiny ways, offering random acts of kindness in the form of a few minutes’ entertainment, and comments tell us we’ve achieved that little goal.

Wait @celestialeclipsed I have more ideas (hope this is okay). Steve's friends making his life a nightmare about Danny and Sandra Harrington, includes:

Robin timing viewings of Grease at Family Video when Steve comes in for a later shift. The store soon 'loses' their VHS copy.

Dustin, Lucas and Max singing 'Beauty School Dropout' when they catch Steve fixing his hair.

Actually, any number of song-breakouts and choreographed dance routines.

Robin calls Sandra's friends The Pink Ladies.

Danny's car (and inevitably Steve's Beemer) becomes 'Grease Lightning'.

Robin quips, "Is she moving back to Australia?" when Sandra goes away on a business trip.

She also goes through the whole cast of characters as pet names for Steve. She permanently settles on Marty Maraschino.

Summer is insufferable as Steve's friends scream-sing "Su-huh-huuummerrr NIII-EEE-IIIGHTSSS" at him at every opportunity. God forbid he is dating.
