Eddie Munson with his steady diet of dino nuggets, tater tots, macaroni & cheese, and a soda as his beverage of choice; wanting to cook a meal for Steve Harrington (as a first date).
He thinks he has to make this grand ol’ fancy dinner, and he tries his best to, only for it to go horribly wrong.
So he pivots, and goes with what he knows best.
He’s so nervous that this dinner will make Steve change his mind and realize that he’s not worth the trouble. However, he’s pleasantly surprised when he sees Steve’s face light up at the sight of what they’re about to dine on.
They dig in, conversation is flowing smoothly, smiles and laughs aplenty, they’re having an amazing time.
When they finish, Steve thanks him for a wonderful meal, and offers to help wash their dishes.
They’re halfway through drying the plates when the first kiss is initiated. Then comes the second, and the third, and a whole bunch more. The plates long forgotten.
They lose track of time, until they come up for air and notice how late it’s gotten.
Eddie walks Steve to his car, and Steve asks Eddie out on a second date. Before Steve can drive off, he pulls Eddie in for one more kiss.
Eddie watches as his date drives into the night, with a fluttering in his stomach, and thoughts of Steve.
He cannot wait for their second date!
