if you build “community” around hating other people, just know that the second you step out of line—regardless of your moral uprightness or the hypocrisy on their part—you’re the next person they’re going to tear to pieces.
you know, i don't remember
its like a gacha pull talking to my plural wife i might get the one who usually fronts but there are the rarer ones also . dormant ones would be a legendary but i havent seen those
Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: First Kiss wa Owaranai
(dir. Shinichi Omata, studio A-1 Pictures, based on the manga Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensaitachi no Renai Zunousen by Aka Akasaka)
ive been thinking about how some trans spaces and media lack representation of bottom surgery and itd be nice if we could talk about and depict it more. but my attempts to formulate this into a coherent thought lead me to standing in front of the microwave idly thinking "we should normalize men with penises" as if thats a brave new frontier nobody has ever considered.
My GOAT is getting slandered on twitter.com and I will not stand for it.
Not just a Gundam that was mothballed two decades ago, but specifically one that is KNOWN for violently killing its pilots and she took it to the highest permet sync level without immediately burning out.
ANYONE who says that Suletta isn't an amazing pilot and relied entirely on Aerial wasn't paying attention at all.
She's also fighting an army of Mobile Suite that were trained on her combat data. Girl's 1v10-ning a bunch of her own clones and is winning
I've said for a long time that Suletta turns off the auto-pilot features when she's ready to fuck shit up

how am I supposed to go to the supermarket without cavalry support
the state does not need to assign you a sex, nor does it need to keep inalterable record of it btw
a very interesting terf objection to this one boils down to "but how would the state know who to protect?" because it speaks to the incredible privilege of being in a class the state actually ever remotely wants to protect. most oppressed groups do not want the state to have a registry of them, lol
the patriarchy has done a great job convincing white cisgender women that it's in their best interests to maintain it
you have to get that when someone calls a woman mannish as an insult, that's uncomplicatedly just misogyny
punishing women for perceived failures to perform patriarchal femininity is not remotely "misandry," because it's not about a hatred of men or masculinity. it's about punishing women for not performing our roles. men don't get punished for being men
furthermore, I think a lot of people, trans women included, lose the capacity to understand this when the target is a trans woman. transphobia doesn't cancel out misogyny just because it misgenders trans women. the transphobia provides cover for the misogyny
transphobia is an excellent trojan horse for misogyny, because it suggests its target could not be a target of misogyny in the same breath that it, you know, targets its targets with misogyny. your shooter is arguing that you're biologically immune to bullets while shooting you
if I tell you that women are being put in men's prisons and subjected to sex slavery in which they are called the "wives" of male inmates they become the property of, does it change anything that these women are trans? does that make it not misogyny? look at who benefits from misogyny and who is bound by it
you people will leave wonderful and insightful tags that I'm eager to reblog and fold into the conversation and then you'll go "sorry, I left this in the tags cause I didn't want to derail"
I see a parallel here with the ways that trans Women are trained to deprioritize their own voices in exchange for entry into/existence within irl spaces. I feel a synesthesiac sameness sitting between tag commentary and the girl who has learned that the tolerance of her community is contingent on her never speaking too loudly or firmly, never doing anything which could be construed as intruding. She is taught that she has to shrink herself considerably in order to fit.
The 'reblog w/ addition' is antithesis to that self-minimization. An elevation of the personal perspective. A statement: "My thoughts on this matter are just as pertinent as yours and so here I am, enforcing my presence in the conversation." This isn't (can't be, frankly, in so few words) a perfect characterization of the dynamics at play but I think there's something to the thought. I've known lots of quiet people who were just used to being ignored; I hear some of that in the girls whispering in the tags.
one of my favorite bits in lord of the rings is something the movies didn't really try to do because it's entirely internal, but sam's carrying the ring and it starts trying to do its work on him, so he's having these intrusive visions of himself marching at the head of a vast and terrible army, and he just starts laughing because, me? samwise gamgee? sam gamgee the general sam gamgee the dark lord are you for real? man i just want to go home and do some gardening. and the ring gets frustrated and it starts trying to figure out other stuff that would actually tempt sam and it's finally like, okay, but hear me out: imagine if you could have...A REALLY REALLY BIG GARDEN
and then he's like, i don't know that sounds like a lot more work than a regular garden actually. why don't we just get on with finding mister frodo
Evil not comprehending good is such wonderful story element.
