One of my favorite museums in all of Mexico 🇲🇽 — the Templo Mayor in Mexico City. Every time I visit, I’m blown away by how powerful and intense the Mexica (Aztec) world still feels. What’s most impressive is the museum is filled with artifacts found on-site.
From the eerie wall of stone skulls (Huey Tzompantli), to the giant serpent heads, to the massive Coyolxauhqui stone at the bottom of the temple — it’s all just so epic. You can really feel the energy of the ancient city here, right in the middle of modern Mexico City.
Sometimes you just need to look up. Caught this moment deep in the forest where the sunlight filtered through the towering trees. Peaceful. Majestic.
