Cool video from Brian Wolford of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) mapping in Northern Haiti with his moto. I recently spent time in Haiti working with Brian and the rest of the HOT team on CAP103, a project funded by USAID/OTI to improve OpenStreetMap coverage in Haiti's Northern Corridor. Check out Brian's complete blog post here: http://hot.openstreetmap.org/updates/2013-05-28_using_motorcycles_to_survey_in_haiti.
First batch of shots from the trip to Haiti is up: https://500px.com/chadlawlis/sets/haiti, covering the weekend trek up the Citadel and around Sans-Sousi Palace just south of Cap-Haitien. More to come soon.
Check out this footage from Drone Adventures - a new non-profit organization using aerial imagery for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. They are currently partnering with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and OpenStreetMap and just finished up their first project in Haiti, where I just returned from a two week stint. As a member of the OpenStreetMap community and GIS Analyst for international development I'll be following them closely on Twitter, looking forward to where they go next.
Shots from the touristy week in DC are up on 500px: https://500px.com/chadlawlis/sets/washington_dc

Looking to finally get behind the camera again this weekend back at home in Vermont. Just uploaded a few shots from the lake last summer to build the stoke: https://500px.com/chadlawlis/sets/vermont.
Keeping it coming: the portfolio compilation continues, now with my work from Independence Day '11 on the CT shore: https://500px.com/chadlawlis/sets/independence_day_11.
The portfolio compilation continues, now with a small set from my trip to Chicago focusing on architecture/cityscape from a birds eye view: https://500px.com/chadlawlis/sets/chicago
Night Skies by NOVALAPSE Timelapse Recordings. Awesome reel of night sky time-lapses shot on location in Death Valley, Yosemite National Park, and Plymouth Indiana. Check NOVALAPSE out on Vimeo, including a tutorial on how to create moving startrails in a timelapse with Adobe After Effects.
The portfolio compilation continues, now with my work from Nicaragua: https://500px.com/chadlawlis/sets/nicaragua. As part of Bucknell in Nicaragua, a service-learning program offered through Bucknell University, I joined a small group of students and professors for a three week excursion to Central America's poorest country and my first experience in the developing world. These images represent a small compilation of my work during this trip, which included building the Nueva Vida Women's Sewing Co-op in collaboration with the Jubilee House Community, volunteering at the Nueva Vida Public Health Clinic, and participating in a foreign policy briefing with USAID at the US Embassy in Managua.
