Reblog to have a very sexy and very interesting 2013
i cant think of the fact that humans send messages saying ’where are you? who are you?’ from earth to the giant and empty space all around us for too long because it makes me cry so hard and feel so human and lonely
things that humans have sent to space as a friendly gesture that make me cry my eyes out:
- whale songs
- sounds of footsteps, laughter and a kiss
- an hour-long recording of the brainwaves of someone who was, among other thoughts, thinking about what it is like to fall in love
- an illustration of two people holding hands
- so many sentences in almost 60 languages, including these: ’Friends of space, how are you all? Have you eaten yet? Come visit us if you have time.’ ’Greetings from a computer programmer in a small university town on planet Earth.’ ’Are you well?’ ’We are happy here and you be happy there.’ ’How's everyone? We all very much wish to meet you, if you're free please come and visit.’ ’Wishing you happiness, health and many years.’ ’Welcome home. It is a pleasure to receive you.’
I really hope that at some point people take fatphobia seriously enough to address it in themselves and in their social circles.
Fat people face unchecked discrimination in everything from basic healthcare, to hiring, to literal incarceration and very few thin people bother to think about this or take it seriously because they’d rather enjoy feeling superior than even recognise an injustice they don’t face.
And honestly even if there weren’t study after study demonstrating active discrimination against fat people in our society, just the interpersonal cruelties and exclusion alone would be worth addressing.
Start taking this fatphobia and body policing seriously. Fat people deserve inclusion and respect, as they are now, without proving to anyone that they’re trying to not be fat, or that their fucking cholesterol levels are low, or whatever the fuck else.
Human beings facing a fucking size limit for being respected and cared for is a feminist issue.
YUP^ YUP^ YUP^. And when I have the audacity to write about my first hand experiences with fatphobia in general or (heaven forbid) on tumblr quite specifically, my own followers often send me shit asking why I want to die young or they will let their followers reblog my posts adding comments that I should be ashamed of myself for “spreading dangerous messages*”
People will happily, greedily consume my content on this blog when it suits them and then deny my humanity in the same breath. It’s exhausting as fuck.
*ps the “dangerous message” is like “let fat people live in peace”
“But if you forget to reblog Madame Zeroni, you and your family will be cursed for always and eternity.”
not even risking that shit
scrolled past this, re-evaluated my life, then SCROOOLLLED back up and hit the damn reblog button.
She ain’t no games in real life so I take her serious all the time
Anyone with a name that starts with a “Z”, ends with an “i”, and isn’t some kind of Italian pasta, IS SERIOUS
I’m not climbing no mountain with a pig on my back, 🙅🏽🙅🏾🙅🏿 Negative.
Nope. I know better, have your reblog Madame Zeroni.

Look at these stupid children who don’t know who Madame Zeroni is
Man lissen if you don’t know you better ask somebody AFTER you hit the reblog button
Idk who she is but I have an exam today so I’ll reblog her

I’m sorry guys. I really can’t risk it.

I don’t reblog much, but this is too well said not to.
This always gets a reblog.

@chameleon-kirk -> @isthisspockspeaking
There’s at least a dozen things that make Kirk/Spock special, right.
But let’s talk about the one that, to me, is the least expected: the gentility.
Of all things you would expect to find in a relationship between two badass, ranking Starfleet officers, who stare down both the unknown and the unbelievable slew of powerful adversaries with their own brands of masculine grit, a deep and tangible sensitivity is not among them. The flirting, sure. The ‘no wait let me put myself in danger to protect you,’ of course. But gentility? Not on the expected list.
And yet there they are, always so sensitive, kind, and soft with each other. There’s this thing that automatically clicks on when one of them approaches the other, a way of dealing with each other that you don’t see in any of their other relationships. It is, for lack of a better word, utterly and hopelessly Pure™. And it’s that element of surprise (two badasses who are painfully soft with each other) that takes Kirk/Spock to a place totally addictive, a place that draws you in and is like ahahaahahaha you’re here forever get used to it.
I don’t know what this is
