Oregano alla mano 🤚 🌱

Isn’t it wonderful to forage herbs on the road?

We have been at Vale Ondula in Marco de Canaveses for a couple of weeks and the amount of gift from nature that we received is been incredible 💚

Blueberries, Lemons, Peaches and Oregano.

Yummy and so precious.

After the harvest, we hanged upside down the bouquet of oregano flowers in the dark of the back of our van for a few weeks.

And voitla… the leaves dried out and we are now able to collect the herb in a container. Shaking, cutting, selecting this oregano has a very gentle but persuasive smell. We love it in any kind of meal and especially as a warm tea for this climate chaotic cold summery night 🌙

Wow, being a mum is intense.

It’s also incredibly fun. Before even imaging to become a mama, I was dreaming of being able to experience that light mind of being a child again, swinging at the playground without worrying someone will tell you off because you are an adult and are using the facilities for children XD and just be silly because that’s how life should be taken, running around with your baby and laughing out loud. And here I am.

Constantly smiling at people because they smile at your little one, talking light feelings with strangers, connecting with grandmas and unexpectedly with lots of grandpas. Doesn’t matter the languages, a child smile can trap anyone crossing her road:)

Being a mum is intense because your energy is limited compared to the energy demand of your little one. But today while she was playing at the park I have been able to lay down on a bench and take some breaths for my self, looking at the sky. And I really felt part of that immense whole and beautiful universe.

Happy 2023 to us, happy because despite the “I never do enough” voice in my head, I made it to tick most of my intentions for last year 2022, and so I want to keep this practice of listing my new cycle intentions :

🚐 Drive the van (we made it yes!!)

🫂 Get sociable again

👶🏼 Be even more playful

🧘‍♀️ Practice Yoga & Mindfulness Regularly

📚Finish all the books I bought in the past years and never made to read 🤦🏽‍♀️

What do I do everyday to take care of Annamaya?

The question of this week - what do I do to nourish my body? Well I always thought I was doing good with my diet, my belief and practices but since I became a mum I find it hard to keep up on looking after myself so this week I tried to pay attention on this a bit more and I found out I still have lots to declutter 💩 damn sugar!

In the other hand I feel much better since I stopped labeling my diet as vegan vegetarian moonitarian chattytarian and this makes me connect to my real needs and body.

Annamaya "that which is made of food"

The first of the 5 dimensions, PAÑCAMAYA, the surface, our biological structure, our body.

I started dancing again, jumping around, moving, stretching but most importantly I put consciousness on my actions, I put my all presence on preparing the dinner, adding that touch of love I deserve. I tried to make my quick and used to be "unfailing" cake recipe of the 7 jars and it failed 😬. What did I do wrong.... Well the speed don't allow anyone to pay attention to details, and details are the all.

I bought lots of oils for my skin but I'm not sure what my skin needs. Probably some rest Glow:)

Meanwhile I dream the future when I'll have grey hairs and purple eyes, hopefully a bit more wise 💜

"The reunion"

Between the knocking of a woodpecker and the gentle warmth of a sun ray, Asplenium gathers and reborn again together.

Rolling up, slowly to mountain pose.

I always wondered how they ended up in our woods after having them as a side dish on the Taiwanese mountains. After all we are not too far from each other anymore. Curious to know how every country treat the same kind of plants in different ways, based on cultural knowledge and belief.

Can't we just gathered all of these beliefs together for One bigger purpose?

I wondered why I am surrounded by ladybugs lately.

Lady birds are small and cute beings with such an important role in this life.

They bring us luck, they make us feel privileged but most importantly ladybugs voraciously consume plant-eating insects, such as aphids, and in doing so they help to protect crops. Ladybugs lay hundreds of eggs in the colonies of aphids and other plant-eating pests.

Ladybugs are plant's protectors and so I want to join their tribe 🐞

Being Enlightened

If you were to become enlightened, you could experience a profound sense of inner peace, a connectedness to all living things and immense compassion for other’s suffering. This experience would present itself to you and change your outlook on life from that moment forward. It would change the way you think of yourself. It would change the way you perceive others. It would change how you interact with others. When you understand how everybody suffers, and recognize that they don’t even understand why they are suffering, you naturally want to help guide them out of the darkness. You feel joy in your life.

Becoming enlightened is like winning the spiritual lottery. If winning the lottery is your goal, you have to buy a lottery ticket. If becoming enlightened is your goal, you have to be enlightened. Your odds at becoming enlightened are much better than winning the lottery. Enlightenment is your natural state, you just have to fall back into it.

Falling into enlightenment can happen at any time, or never. If you want to become an enlightened being you shouldn’t wait for that spark of realization to change your life. You should just act as though you are enlightened. When you interact with other people, be kind and compassionate. Recognize their suffering. Act as though inner peace is your natural state and take whatever comes your way as it comes. Speak the truth, because that is all that matters. You can go about all of your regular business as an enlightened being, keeping in mind that peace and harmony are more important than most regular goals. When you notice yourself suffering, feel compassion, because that is what everybody else is feeling too. It helps you practice compassion. You can offer your suffering to the world in the name of peace.

It can be a long, hard road to realizing your enlightenment. In the meantime just be enlightened.
