CLOUD HAWK OF 10 THOUSAND LEAGUES August-Chrysanthemum Class Imperial Cataphract

The Empire of Bilu, which dominates the southern reaches of the Great Continent, terms its machine armours as Cataphracts, and the designs reflect the name: they are massive, heavily armoured units designed for shock and awe.

Cataphract pilots are part of Bilu’s aristocracy, and their armours are property of their Houses, as well as consecrated symbols of the Biluvian Orthodoxy.

They are always lavishly painted and decorated with house markings, colours and sometimes flags, as well as religious symbols, though in terms of design they are fairly standard - there are only a handful of state-regulated design bureaus, which the Great House purchase their armours from.

As with most MAs, a co-pilot equipped with an antecognitive spur (commonly known as a 'Psyco-Jack') is required to direct the combat computer. In the Cataphract Corps, this duty is undertaken by eunuchs - recruited from the landed gentry, or the noble families of newer Imperial subjects.

am tweaking pebbles' design, wasn't happy with stewie griffin/black manta/frisbee looking ahh pebbles sorry to all the fans out there 😔

in terms of head shape i was partially inspired by the mantis design that @junodraws has for pebbles!! go check them out theyre so cool and awesome

this redesign is mainly because pebbles just didn't fit in with the designs of other iterators, likely because his white eyes are so much more expressive than everyone else's black ones. plus, he kinda looked,,, off? next to others. im also thinking about changing his markings, at least for new cycle pebbles

i think every design is gonna get a little tweak, especially on the eyes. plus i gotta design actual robes for most of them augh

some mass doodles of both new cycle and flip cycle pebbles, experimenting with head shape and eyes (fc pebbs is ofc the one with the skrunckgly antennae)

i also drew all of these in the middle of a sensory meltdown lmfao

Skins fell one by one. There’s a strange exposure in the air lately, not apocalyptic, revealing. The veil didn’t rip. It lifted. People showing who they are. Situations revealing their true density. Truth stings, but the blindfold weighed more. Some connections didn’t collapse, they completed. Contracts fulfilled. Karmic patterns dissolve once seen without resistance. Inner change stays invisible until the outer world can’t hold the same shape anymore. Then reality reorganizes around honesty. From outside it looks abrupt. Inside it’s been forming for a long time. Certain seasons compress time. Years processed in months. Detachment faster. Vision clearer. Maybe this isn’t an age of darkness, just the end of distraction. Alone with yourself surfaces what you avoided. Exposure feels like destruction until you realize it’s diagnosis. People mirror you, rarely gently. Some reflect wounds. Some growth. Some old versions you outgrew. Some arrive like storms but function like alignment.

As the horse approaches, ignorance has less space to hide in.
