Hi !! I'm Char (he/they)

I'm new to hellenic polytheism and I've been trying to learn more, of late Ive been trying to focus more on research so I may practice in the most respectful way I can, so I have been posting about it less (I do not know if/when I will get back to posting more about this)

This isn't a purely religious blog, I post quite a bit about my special interests and all, but I hope to make more posts about hellenic polytheism once I figure things out !!

I tried to translate Desert Song (My Chemical Romance) into Latin !! If anyone happens to have any reccomendations for grammar or vocab I'd love to hear it because so frankly this was done in an hour of pure delusion and a dream, I know it's not complex or completely accurate

Beginner artists I love you. Artists who have wobbly lineart and clashing color palettes and no sense of anatomy and that white line around your fill-bucket coloring, your art is beautiful in a way I cannot express.

Art like yours fills my heart with joy. Keep going. Make your fanart, your complicated OC worlds, anything you want! You've started on an unfamiliar, wonderful journey, and it's gonna be great.

It might be hard sometimes, and you might think your art sucks, but it doesn't suck, and it'll get better. One day you'll look back on these drawings fondly, and be glad you made them. It might take years to get to where you want to be, but art is amazing and delightful and every day is worth it.

Art is beautiful, yours is no exception, and you will grow with time.

I love it when older people who don't really understand queer people or relationships see people who are so deeply in love with each other or someone who's so very happy as themself that it encourages them to be accepting, even if they don't get it, just because those people are happy and that's enough, yknow ?

I don't know if that makes any sense or if anyone else feels that way, but I just thonk there's something beautiful about it

Tw for mentions of death and autopsies, nothing graphic, just me getting my current thoughts out after having seen one

I watched my first autopsy today, and honestly I'm surprised it wasn't that bad ? I was really worried going into it because of the smell when I got to see the fridge, but it was actually okay. My mother got her co-worker to get us a viewing, and I felt awkward because the co-worker wasn't being as respectful as I would have liked to the person who died, but it was a very educational experience nonetheless and I'm very fortunate to have had such an opportunity !

I think this has solidified my wish to take a forensics course next year and I do think that in college I may be able to go into medicine in some way. I am worried about how I may react when I face worse cases though, because this autopsy was the ideal viewing. I don't know how I will handle seeing decomposed/decomposing bodies, people who drowned, or children. I know I have much time before I have to face that, but I am scared for when that time comes if I choose to go down this path.

Overall, it was a very interesting experience and Im glad I had this opportunity :)
