&. — introduction.
we forget all too soon the things we thought we could never forget. we forget the loves and the betrayals alike, forget what we whispered and what we screamed, forget who we were.
charlene 'charli' quinn, 30, coral coast

cis woman, she/her, bisexual, single, sagittarius
&. — the story.
in a big family charli had always felt somewhat invisible. her father was a fortune 500 company man obsessed with status, having the best of everything and an enviable bank account, success at playing the system was most important to him. he had to win. mother? she was cut from a similar cloth. they were a perfect pair, maybe not deeply and wildly in-love with each other, but knew the right match when they'd met each other. the second youngest of 4 children charli was the only one that went against the grain. at the heart she was an academic. passionate about language, history, and art. maybe since she'd been raised with money and materialism there'd never been a desire cultivated within her to chase those things into her own adult life. rather than follow her parents into a prestigious career, one that could be bragged about, or into big tech like her siblings, where the money was at, charli followed her obsessions with literature, research, and texts. when she was in university she finally felt as though she'd found her people, a place where she belonged, and forged amazing friendships. during her senior year before she went on for her masters tragedy took her best friend from her. to this day she still has night terrors about that car wreck and refuses to drive. when she completed her degrees, accomplished the internships, and accepted the jobs she and her best friend had dreamed up and mapped out together she felt she was accomplishing it for the both of them. she may have a townhouse with a view, something her mother insisted on, but her meager salary and a career that her family cannot relate to puts her at constant odds with them.
&. — wanted connections / plots.
childhood friends, neighbors, schoolmates growing up
neighbors in coral coast
exes and oh's (flings, dates, ons, etc)
siblings: two older siblings & one younger
founding family drama: could be that their families never liked each other, maybe something happened that there's grudges and lines to not be crossed, they could think its bs and are trying to mend things but their families are stubborn??
for the love of art: charli is big on going to museums (especially history related), art galleries and shows, architecture events, lectures, book talks, etc. having someone that she regularly goes with would be fun? they're always each other's date.
fake bf/gf: at some point charli was trying to get her parents off her back about still being single (not married, no babies) and them always trying to set her up with an eligible bachelor/bachelorette so she and your muse made an arrangement but it's something that still pops up whenever she has to do a family thing?
open to anything, really!
