“I got it, easy peasy.” She smiled. “Shrinking charm works, less noticeable than carrin’ it around full sized. and once we roll it out just get it bigger again, and we’re set!”

When she resurfaced and heard the voice, Gayle spun in the water, facing the girl that’d come to the lake. She let out a small sigh of relief as she realised that it wasn’t a teacher and she relaxed, nodding her head at her simple question, “It’s quite cold… but it’s nice,” she said, still in awe that she’d done such a thing.

Charlie smirked, tugging off her shirt, revealing her bathing suit. “looks like we both had the same idea here.” With another quick tug her shorts fell down too, leaving it in a pile with her bag. “Care for some company?”

She didn’t know what’d gotten into her; this wasn’t what she normally did. Gayle was used to doing nothing interesting or adventurous, stuck in the library or the common room but she was growing tired of the boring label that’d been stuck to her throughout her life. Granted, this probably wasn’t the best idea she had, but it’d been the first thing to come to mind. So there she stood, her arms wrapped around herself as she stared down at the Black Lake. Gayle’d been there for almost ten minutes now, contemplating on whether she was actually going to do it. Finally she gritted her teeth and just removed her top and bottoms, leaving her clad in her bikini; she said a silent prayer to whoever was listening, before jumping into the cold water.

It wasn’t unusual to see Charlie getting herself into trouble. It was practically her middle name. And swimming at the lake was something familiar too her, but not something she did often. Bathing suit hidden under street clothes she walked in the direction of the lake, surprised to see another person jumping in. A laugh escape her as Charlie dropped her bag. “Having fun?”

He felt his cheek fluster with annoyance. How dared she adress a teacher like that? “You do not speak to a professor like that, have some manners for once.” which he knew it was too much to ask from a teenager. “Put those back now.”

She didn’t even attempt to stop the smile creeping on her face. “I think I’ll hold onto them for a while. Maybe I’ll learn some manners form them, huh?”

“What a relief,” he said, grinning at her laugh. “Uh, a spell would take too long, yeah? We could try making, like, a pipe that goes from the tap in the loos to the slip ‘n’ slide. Would that work?”

“I can do that, use the girls bathroom. That put’s you in charge of the soap then? If we can divide that up then just laying out the slip ‘n’ slide is all that’s left.”

Jenna grins, rolling her eyes and collapsing in a chair once they’re inside. Again, with lightening speed, she retrieves her essay out of her pack and scans it. She’s glad she’s done so, there are spelling errors in the type and a few sentences which just don’t make sense. The ordeal of making edits takes a handful of minutes, and Jenna’s standing and shoving the papers back into he bag, just as a boom sounds from outside the closest window. “That’s as good as it’s going to get- ready?”

Charlie sat across form Jenna while she worked, picking up a forgotten quill on the table and running her fingers through the feathers and twirling it between her fingers. Her gaze shifted to the girl when thunder boomed, a smile creeping on her face. “Ready.”
