In light of the beginning of an exciting new era for the Charlos ship, we thought it fitting to host an event to celebrate the RPF pairing between Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr.

'What is this fest?', you may wonder. Well, it's an opportunity for creators to write, draw or edit and for other enjoyers to show their love and appreciation for Charlos as well as fandom contributors. This is a celebration of our beloved ship!

The event will be hosted on both AO3 (via a collection) and Tumblr (via our hashtag, #charlosfest25)

Minimum wordcount for written works is of 1K. For fanart, the pieces should be colorized sketches at least

You can create as many works as you wish throughout the event

All ratings & tropes are allowed but proper tagging is imperative

Secondary ships are welcome but Charlos must be a the front center of your creation (s)

The mods haven't discussed yet whether or not we'll hold another event like this next year, but it's definitely not out of the question! It'll be a matter of whether we have time, or if none of us do, whether someone else might be willing to be passed the baton, so to speak. Hello, how are you? My name is Carol. I'm Brazilian, so there may be some English errors in the message. I'm a writer on Wattpad, and some other authors and I noticed that in our Brazilian community the number of fanfics and enthusiasm for charlos is declining. Seeing this, we decided to do something to revive charlos.

I would like to know if there would be any problem using some ideas that have not yet been claimed. I know they are free for the authors, but since we are not going to post on Ao3, but on Wattpad and in Portuguese, I would like to know if we have authorization.

You're more than welcome to use any of the prompts for the fest, claimed or otherwise, to create Charlos works. The idea of the fest was to celebrate our ship so any creation, wherever is posted, is awesome!

“Carlos,” the voice repeats, this time with more confidence, and laced with relief and familiarity. “Come on. I know it’s been five years, but you can’t have forgotten me already.”

Or: Carlos has spent the last five years since the outbreak, alone and remote, at his family's country house in Mallorca, only to wake up one morning to a familiar face from his past in one of his traps.

To shed the weight of your beliefs and fly beyond the confines of your faith?” Carlos’ head felt split, a glass cracked and then shattered inside his skull as he heard Charles’ voice so vividly, in such close proximity. Around him, the forest seemed to pulse with a life of its own, shadows swirling at the edges of his vision and making his stomach squirm unpleasantly. That is the first of the nights he’ll never know peace again.

By all accounts, Carlos should’ve seen it coming. He should’ve known there was a danger to such closeness, not just in the figurative sense but in the literal one. They knew they had to call it off by the end of last year. It’s the way things go, no longer any need to be knit-tight, and Carlos knew he didn’t have any business going near the motorhome anymore. Or: cars are sentient biomechanical creatures that converge with drivers and drivers form bonds between themselves sorta Pacific Rim style.

Charles stepped on his tip-toes over the railing, his thick brown locks shielding him from the sun as his hair fell all over his face and he shook his head just as the cars zipped by fast, not quick enough to see him when he crossed the finish line. He had missed prodigy Carlos Sainz Jr. winning on his turf. He had spent months, all of last year, staying up to speed about who’s who in most relevant categories of motorsport and the one time he gets to see what this guy’s all about, he missed it.
