Based off of Tsubaki’s own words, I would assume that he intends to use Kuro as the vessel? He did say that Kuro was “required,” whatever that means, during their showdown at the hospital, trying to drag him away. If he needed Kuro’s Jinn, then he should have wanted to take Mahiru with him, otherwise his whole countdown would be ruined. No Eve, no Item to break, no Jinn explosion.
That he was fine with Mahiru dying implies to me that whatever he wanted Kuro for, it was something else, and if Kuro really is the Count’s relative like the popular running theory goes, then using him as a vessel makes the most sense. A blood relation would give a soul an easier focal point to lock on to.
But now it could possibly be Iori? Maybe? There’s apparently something weird about mage bodies that requires them to be disposed of carefully. Lol what if they come back as zombies if you aren’t careful with them–
Hm… There is, actually, a ninth sin though. Vainglory, which was later bundled in with Pride. I find it really interesting that Melancholy and Vainglory, the two discarded Sins, also just so happen to be the ones that got combined with the Sins assigned to the two eldest Servamps. Coincidence? Or something more? Not to mention Hugh’s apparent, possible, betrayal. But if he wanted to kill Creator in the first place… Why bring him back…?
There’s a couple moments in the manga that struck me as… Really odd.
First was this one, during Lust Arc.
Hugh’s dead eyed stare here is… Concerning, to say the least. This happens immediately after Lily loses his Jinn.
And another moment, from during the Servamp Meeting to decide what to do about Creator.
Here, Lily goes on to say that he was the last one to have seen their Creator. But the person bleeding into Hugh’s frame? Is not Lily.
And I was trying to place whose hair that might be, when I remembered. Don’t those look like Jeje’s bangs? Jeje and Hugh, the ones who are ostensibly working with Tsubaki, who said they should kill their Creator, who echoed Kuro’s sentiment that vampires were a mistake and should not have been made.
Just what the hell is going on here…?
