Ate a very late lunch, very early dinner at #Versailles Restaurant on #calleocho, well really SW 8th Street or Tamiami Trail not quite yet Calle Ocho. (A distinction for locales but most likely a “close enough” reference for tourists) And while I could of taken the typical food pic to post. I honestly think their cafe con leche is so much better than their comida. So on this occasion, I elected to pick something more charming to capture the moment. This street sign. A symbol of the past, a simpler time when Olga couldn’t live without Tony and Tony couldn’t live without Olga. They always held hands when they walked their predominately cuban neighborhood each night. Shaping it into the city its become. A love story, a women and a man (una pareja cariñoso y fuerte) on their roller coaster of life in pursuit of the great American dream. I like to think they found it. And, while I don’t really know Olga y Tony, every time I see that sign it make me smile. A big smile that makes your heart happy.

I love the diversity in Miami unequivocally and all that it encompasses. I can’t imagine this city any other way. Because that's 🇱🇷 !!!

I fell in love with the #Anthropologie #Astrid chair immediately and purchased these two before the @real_simple magazine did a cover story on how this chair could transform any room. And, it does! These two beauties always get compliments and look great from any angle. It's a combo of the gorgeous print and the modern cut with a curved back. I am not sure if this was the first version of the #Astrid but shortly after that @anthropologie came out with prints from @orlakiely with her famous pear pattern print and others. I started to wonder if I should have waited on my purchase....until I saw an article on @genevievegorder flat in NYC and she had two chairs exactly like mine (or vice versa 😉) with a white sofa as well in her living room and I felt like my design style had just been validated! I even wrote to @anthropologie after that and asked them to bring back this chair in this print because I wanted two more. You see, I wanted four of these chairs in this exact print to place around a big circular table where I could sit and read my @nytimes paper in the morning while drinking my coffee.
