@chellybeans-in-my-pocket
I just finished watching the new Spiderman movie. It was a good movie. But it reminded me of my ex for some reason. And the other day was his day off and the lizard part of my brain was reminding me of this and suggesting I drive to his house to hang out. Then the rest of my brain kicked in and reminded me he dumped me. So. Yeah. Feeling. Bad.
unfortunate truth of reality is that oftentimes 15 year olds will say/do/believe some stupid bullshit because they are 15 but telling them that they believe that because they are 15 is probably the most counterproductive thing in the entire universe
yes I DO live under a rock and her name is the Moon and she is always smiling but she teaches me nothing
happy birthday to all the tbs in the southern hemisphere!
Special Event: All Horsesā Birthday (Southern Hemisphere only)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE HORSES
I feel like Iām in Groundhog Day but instead of that annoying alarm clock song, itās just my brain replaying the scene of my ex-boyfriend breaking up with me. This has been happening every morning as soon as I wake up. I hate my brain sometimes.
what I say: "I've been spending more time in nature
what I mean: "I've been looking at my phone on the porch instead of the couch"
i think the most beautiful thing about being a human is the capacity to change
this is not the worst thing you have survived, so youāll survive this too, even if it seem tougher than it actually is. if the only way out is through then maybe just getting started little by little on however way you can might make the process less daunting than waiting for the perfect time
Person in the grocery store had amazon rainforest sounds blasting on their phone as they shopped and I think that's a beautiful use of free will
"people who don't wear headphones in public are a nuisance" except this one. I respect their indomitable human spirit
Joan Didion, Play it as it Lays
Welp. I guess I do have to start trusting what I feel in my jellies more seriously, because I was right. My (ex)boyfriend broke up with me this past Monday. Iām still sorta in shock that Iāll never get to talk to this man again. I was super into him. But he said I was too anxious for him, and that he didnāt think we were compatible longterm, and that he was done⦠so obviously I cried for that entire day and most of the next. And now Iām sick with maybe Covid and Iām just having a really bad week. Hey Siri, play āI Canāt Make You Love Meā.
It sorta feels like that Joan Didion piece about āWhen John died I remembered thinking, āI really need to discuss this with John.āā Except that heās not dead, I just canāt talk to him⦠I feel like I want to tell my person that someone hurt my feelings really badly, but heās the someone who hurt my feelings!!! Ugh.
At least I have some really supportive friends, I wish I could see them IRL right now but donāt want to give them my plague. So instead Iām watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer while I fold laundry. Trying to not sob. I feel like a small wounded animal curled up in the corner and waiting to die.
We need to love the world because that's the only place we can hang out
