This was the first Christmas that you and Jacob would be spending together as a couple. Even though the two of you had spent many Christmases together before you started dating, this time felt different. First of all, you got the chance to kiss your boyfriend under the mistletoe. The two of you got together a few days after Christmas last year, and although you'd given each other a new years kiss, you'd always wanted that mistletoe kiss, like one straight out of a Christmas romcom.
You wondered what he'd bought you. Usually the surprise had been ruined before now by one of the boys who was too excited not to blurt it out. But this year, it felt like there was a secret being hidden from you. Any time the subject of Christmas came up (which was quite often, since you were all super excited), the boys would exchange glances and grin at each other a little too widely. It only made you more curious as to what his present was to you.
At last, Christmas came along, and everything was going as normal. The boys burst through the door, giving you tight hugs and asking when the food would be ready. Typical them. It wasn't long before the Christmas lights were switched on, by which one of your friends you weren't sure, but you could probably hazard a guess. Soon it was time to eat. The twelve of you squeezed around a table, a whole banquet laid out for you all. There was light chatter, guesses of who got who what bouncing around, but no one mentioned Jacob. Was it something big? It didn't take long for the conversation to dry up, food taking priority very quickly.
You couldn't wait to open your presents. You felt like a little kid again, wanting to run over to the tree and rip them all open that very second, but refraining yourself until everyone had finished eating. Jacob could see you were waiting to open your presents, and so as soon as everyone had finished eating, he announced that it was presents time. Immediately, your house was filled with cheers and ten boys all running to the tree. Jacob stayed behind, flashing you that ever-gorgeous smile, taking your hand in his. He couldn't wait to see your face when you opened his gift. He hoped you'd like it. He was sure you would, but the more he thought about it, the harder it was to calm his nerves.
You waited patiently until your turn. When the others had all opened their presents, the attention turned to you. You wanted to open Jacob's present last, but now you were too impatient to wait.
Jacob's eyes landed on the gift he'd bought for you, the small box cupped in your hands. You were starting to get really nervous now, hoping it wasn't what you thought it was. Sure, you'd love to marry him, but not yet. You took a deep breath, tearing the wrapping paper away from the box. You glanced over at him and saw him smiling softly at you, the tip of his ear turning pink. Taking a deep breath, you opened the box carefully. Inside the box there were not one, but two rings. You laughed your nerves away, confusing Jacob and the rest of the boys. You were laughing? Why were you laughing? "I don't know why you guys have been so secretive, it's not as if it's an engagement ring!" Jacob let out a sigh of relief, his heart fluttering at the thought, though.
He took your hand in his again. "I know this is only our first Christmas as a couple, but I wanted to show you how serious I am. And I know I've told you plenty of times, but now you have my promise. My heart is yours, cupcake." He watched as you slipped the promise ring onto your finger, grinning brightly. "And maybe some day we can add an engagement ring to your finger, but for now I'm happy like this." He added, making your heart flutter, too. The two of you shared a brief moment of giddy smiles, until the silence was broken by your friends whining for you to open their gifts. You chuckled at them fondly. You adored your friends, but you adored the man sitting beside you most of all.

My voice trembled as I picked up the phone. "B-baby, can.. can you come over?" I asked, trying to speak through my tears. My body shook as I waited for his response. I hugged his sweater closer to me, his scent calming me a little.
"Of course, are you okay? I'll be there as quick as I can, I love you." I heard him say, voice gentle as ever. I knew he'd be there, he always was. I usually hated people seeing the unattractive parts of me: the endless sniffling, the red eyes after crying, those ugly crying faces. Yet when it came to him, I didn't care. He had seen the ugliest parts of me and still decided to stay.
As soon as I heard the door open, I jumped up from the sofa and ran into his arms. He wrapped his arms around me, kissing my forehead. I buried my face into his shirt, tears staining the fabric. "Did something happen?" He asked, rubbing my back soothingly. I stayed silent, not quite ready to say the words, and he knew. He always knew what I was thinking without me saying. "I'll stay here tonight. I'm not leaving you alone like this."
He kissed my forehead once more before beginning to hum. I wasn't quite sure what song it was, but it was soothing. He swayed side to side slowly, still holding me in his arms. "Thank you, Cobi."
Jacob buried his face into the crook of my neck, squeezing me gently. "Always."
Technically I didn't write about my favourite scene because I don't think any of it made me particularly happy 😂 the story aspect is merely a continuation of the mv, so it didn't happen in the mv

Summary: Five friends accidentally get involved in gang violence after one of them is attacked. After one is killed, this sends Sangyeon into a rage and he vows to get revenge. Little do they know, they were dead from day one.

The bonfire crackled as it began to devour the photograph I had thrown into it. The stream of smoke rising from the flames blended in with the sky. An uncontrollable flow of tears rolled down my cheeks as I watched on, throat sore from endlessly sobbing. I stared into his eyes. "You should have told me what was going on. I could have helped you, you bastard!" I yelled, throwing a small handful of sand into the flames. Something inside me broke as I looked into his eyes. I unscrewed the cap of my bottle and dumped the water over the fire, extinguishing it almost immediately. I took the photograph out of the kindling and held it close to my chest. My heart broke seeing how close the fire was to erasing him. Just a few seconds later and I would've had nothing but grief as a reminder. How could I hate him? Even though he had put me through this pain, it was impossible to feel anything but love and grief.
That morning
Something felt off when I woke up this morning, but I shrugged it off. Maybe there was a change in the weather. The sky did look pretty dull, honestly. The feeling didn't ease as I stepped into the café where I worked. I greeted my co-workers and hung up my coat and bag. This wasn't normal. By now, they would've said hello to me, but both of them were silent. They them looked at me nervously, then at each other. I saw a newspaper spread out on the counter, but I couldn't make out the news story. "What is it?" I moved towards them and their expressions shifted into panicked ones. My fingers reached for the paper to read what it was that was making them behave this way. A lost kid, or a burglary nearby? But as soon as I laid my eyes on the story, I wished it was. I felt guilty, wishing that someone else had been hurt. But I did.
FOUR MEN KILLED IN A GANG ATTACK GONE WRONG
Yesterday afternoon, four young men (Lee Sangyeon, 25; Lee Jaehyun 24; Kim Sunwoo, 21 and Ju Haknyeon, 22) were found dead in an abandoned warehouse. According to witnesses, the men had become involved in gang violence and had attacked a rival gang. Several members of the rival gang were also found dead. This news follows the death of another young man, Lee Juyeon (23) earlier this week. Juyeon was also said to be involved in gang violence. The man was found dead in a local hotel bathroom. It's not yet clear whether these deaths are related, or the reasons behind their deaths. If anyone has any helpful information, please contact us.
"Y/N… I'm so sorry." I didn't know what to do. My whole body felt numb. He couldn't be gone. He was my flesh and blood. He and his friends were all I had. And now I had lost them, too.
