Harry settled into his seat beside Sarah, laughing along as stories from the tour bounced around the table.
“Oh, Harry would love that!” Lorren beamed to Sarah, Harry joining the tail end of the conversation.
“What would I love?” He questioned, a faint smirk crinkled his features as his green eyes sparkled in the low lighting.
“I’ve actually got someone I’d love you to meet tonight,” Sarah said casually, taking a sip of her drink.
Harry looked up with a grin. “Do you now?”
“One of my best friends. Her name’s Alda. She's 27 much younger than me though!,I figured you could use a warm welcome home from another Londoner.”
Harry shrugged, smiling politely. “Sounds lovely.”
“You’ll like her,” Lorren promised.
“I’m sure I will,” he replied, brushing it off without another thought before turning back to another side conversation.
To Harry, it was simply another introduction.Sarah had plenty of friends, and he’d met countless people over the years. During his time away, he grew comfortable with a close circle of friends but now on tour, it was introduction after introduction. Harry didn’t mind, he’d always make room for more.
A few minutes later, the restaurant door opened. A small gesture that Harry didn’t catch onto but Sarah’s face immediately lit up.
“There she is.”
Harry glanced over absent-mindedly, ready to welcome the new company.
Then he saw her and he couldn’t stop his heart from swelling.
Alda Hayes stepped towards the table, a bright smile on her face. She wore a simple outfit, a white crop top with baggy gray jeans and converse that somehow stood out without trying. Her smile lit up the dark room and the moment she spotted Sarah, and there was something effortlessly genuine about it. She greeted the staff as warmly as she greeted her friend, thanking them as they showed her to the busy table.
Harry couldn’t explain it.
She wasn’t trying to impress anyone. She wasn’t demanding attention.
Yet somehow, she had all of his. Harry tried to tear his eyes away from hers but he couldn’t help himself. He outwardly followed her movements, his green eyes dancing on each new feature he was desperate to learn.
“Alda!” Sarah stood to hug her tightly before guiding her over. “Everyone, attention please,”Sarah commanded the room like usual. “This is my best friend, Alda.”
Alda smiled around the table.
“It’s so nice to finally meet you all, Sarah brags about your company all the time.” Alda grinned as a few others greeted her back.
When her eyes landed on Harry, she offered her hand, small and stretched out.
“And you’re Harry. I’ve heard you’re lovely.”
For a split second, Harry forgot how conversations worked. His brain began mush as the pretty girl in front of him directed her attention his way.
“Oh… um… I hope only good things.”
She laughed softly. Harry took her cold hand in his, warming it for a moment. His touch was soft, gentle-like as his long fingers wrapped around her palm.
“Only good things,” Alda promised.
Harry didn’t pull away first, he settled on the weight of her hand in his for a few seconds before Alda pulled back. He couldn’t even grasp how nervous he was by her presence, his finger picking at his nail under the table to keep his anxiety at bay.
He knew himself, he knew how to work the room when attention was on him. He could command the room, get lost in conversations with loads of people who were influential and those who trusted him with their whole heart without hesitation. He powered rooms with his voice and drew the attention of whole stadiums but right now? What caused the anxiety, bubbly feeling deep in his chest?
One kind smile from a stranger apparently did.
As Alda took the empty seat opposite him, he found himself glancing up more often than usual. Harry tried to school his interest without hinting at his attraction but he found himself preoccupied by the woman across from him. Every time she spoke, she listened just as much as she talked. She asked everyone questions, remembered names instantly, and somehow made each person feel included. Harry was taken back, feeling a small weight off his shoulders that he’d often hold in these quiet rooms. She easily fit in with the group as if it was a piece of cake. A part of Harry was used to people feeling intimidated by him but he didn’t sense that energy from her; it was comforting, if anything.
Harry watched as Alda complimented the waiter on the food. She laughed wholeheartedly at Mitch's terrible joke. She thanked someone for passing the bread.
Nothing she did felt forced, conversations landed smoothly. Harry was quietly captivated.
When the conversation turned to him, Harry got lost in thoughts of her, itching to know more than she revealed in the last few minutes over warm bread and dark wine.
“So, Harry,” Alda asked, bringing her glass of wine to her lips. “What’s been your favourite city on the tour?”
Harry blinked, his mind preoccupied by the subtle red-stained cherry color against her lips.
“What?” He whispered, noticing how he must’ve missed his cue.
She smiled patiently.
“I asked what your favourite city’s been.”
“Oh. Right. Sorry,” an embarrassed smile crept to his face.
He rubbed the back of his neck, suddenly aware everyone had been watching him.
“I… uh… probably London.”
“Why London?” she asked.
Harry stumbled through an answer that was far less smooth than usual.
Normally, words came easily to Harry.
Tonight, they seemed determined to disappear.
Across the table,Sarah watched the exchange with growing amusement. She bumped Lorren next to her, checking if she could see exactly what was blatantly obvious.
Harry wasn’t dominating the conversation like he usually did.
He wasn’t his effortlessly charming self.
Instead, he was fiddling with the label on his water bottle, downing too much wine, smiling to himself whenever Alda laughed, and occasionally losing track of what he was saying whenever she looked his way.
Sarah had known Harry for years, surely enough to notice how unusual his behavior was.
She had seen him perform for tens of thousands of people without a flicker of nerves. Hyping up the crew when their nerves came crashing into the stage floor. She had watched the way he handled interviews, award shows and impossible situations with complete confidence.
She had never, not once, seen him so shy.
She caught him, grin wide enough that his dimples seeped deeper into his face, all to himself
as Alda jumped into storytelling about her dog which is a miniature Australian Shepherd
Harry didn’t even realise he was smiling so hard.
Sarah bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from laughing.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
She said nothing. Sarah sat back and continued to observe quietly.
She simply took another sip of her drink, hiding the knowing smile that grew on her face. The contentment that pooled in her chest as she studied the exchange from her seat.
Some things didn’t need pointing out.
Harry would realise soon enough.
As the night winded down, Harry’s cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Some of the band members and crew had dispersed, threatening that they might miss rehearsal the next day if they didn’t get to bed. Harry usually was the first to go but he stayed glued in his seat, immersed in quiet conversation with the woman across from him. The conversation grew a little easier but Harry found himself being cautious with his words, forcing himself to relax his mind as the conversation continued to flow with the small group.
“Alda named her puppy “Cherry.” Sarah half teased, earning an instant playful eye roll from her best friend.
“Hey,” Alda chuckled, a beautiful sound coming from her lips. “I always wanted a dog named Cherry as a child and when I adopted her… it just felt like fate. She has the sweetest face,” Alda said like a proud dog mom. “I’ll show you a photo,” she pulled out her blue clad phone case that carried her device, flashing the lockscreen with a picture of Cherry.
“Oh, look at that face.” Harry coo’d, “Definitely Cherry if y’ask me,” Harry agreed.
“She loves Cherry too,” Aysia laughed, “always barking to your song,” she remarked which caused Alda to cover her face in embarrassment, another thing to tease her about.
“Oh, so she’s a proper fan?” Harry leaned back in his chair, smirking. “And what about her mum?” Harry adjusted his body, easing closer to the table with his elbow propped up. His green eyes flickered around her features — brown eyes, small freckled skin, rosy cheeks, pouty, playful pink lips that broke into a genuine expression.
“Y’caught me,” she raised her palms up in a half mocking gesture. “I’m a bit of a fan myself,” she admitted.
“Come to the show,” Harry found himself saying quicker than he’d ever realized. He quickly corrected himself, “A friend of Sarah’s is a friend of mine, I’d love to have y’there.”
“Oh —,” Alda faltered right as she was about to protest.
“Yes, that would be perfect!” Sarah nodded to Harry, “Harry will get you the best view and you can come see me dance,” she replied happily.
“Oh, I don’t want to —,”Alda started but was interrupted by Harry.
“Consider it sorted,” Harry was already imagining it, hoping to spot her in the crowd — dancing and singing along to his songs. “It’s no problem but Cherry might feel a bit jealous,” Harry easily teased.
Harry couldn’t help but to engrave the soft, endearing sound of her laugh that had been music to his ears the whole night. As Harry excused himself, taking care of the bill — his eyes landed on Alda from the entrance of the establishment. He peered over his shoulder, observing how she flickered her blonde hair over her shoulder, blushing as Lorren whispered something in her ear that made her giggle, a sound he could hear faintly from the front of the restaurant if he listened closely — which he did. Harry got shy for a second when their eyes locked from across the room, a small knowing exchange. Harry offered her a private smile, a subtle flirty gesture that he couldn’t quite resist.
Not with her at least.
He found himself picturing her backstage, he’d tell himself that Alda is there for Sarah but he knew better — he’d secretly wish she was there for him, maybe even only him. A tinge of jealousy ran through him as Lorren whispered and drew those intoxicating giggles from her as he rounded back to the table.
“What did I miss?” Harry dared to ask, he couldn’t help him.
“Oh,” Alda tried to keep herself calm as she stumbled over her words, “just girl talk.”
“Right,” Harry smirked. “Uh.. Everything is taken care of here, stay as long as you’d like… I should probably head out,” Harry could stay, he could definitely stay in her presence for another hour or two but he knew himself well enough. Any more time with the woman who intrigued him and he’d make a fool of himself.
“Aw Harry, you’ll be missed.” Sarah teases, wrapping her arms around her friend.
“You’ll see more of me,” Harry promised. His eye fell to Alda’s again, “it was lovely to have you here tonight,” he reassured, offering his hand again. When she took it, a spark ran down his body — or was he imagining things?
“Lovely to meet you, Harry.”
They reluctantly broke contact as Harry rolled his lips inward, contemplating asking for her number.
“Uh, should I send the details to Sarah?” He asked, pointing to his drummer. “For the show,” he added.
“Oh,” Alda looked towards her friend. “I can give you my number,” she said slowly as if it would be easier — because it would be. Harry secretly hoped she’d come to that conclusion anyways. Harry didn’t protest, hitting a few buttons on his yellow cased phone with the contact information open.
“I’ll text you,” he told her as she handed it back with her full name and number. “That way.. if anything comes up, you can always contact me.”
Sure, he meant for the concert but he secretly hoped it was for other things too. He typed a simple, “This is Harry,” watching the blue message sent and her phone buzz next to her on the table.
“Well, that was easy.” Sarah teased openly, causing Harry to scoff.
“Goodnight, ladies.” Harry turned reluctantly, grabbing a few takeaway boxes from the wooden table. “you two, don’t stay up too late!” He half yelled over his shoulder pointing at Sarah and Lorren as his legs carried him through the restaurant.
As Harry walked down the private pavement, he wondered if Alda’s heart was racing as much as his.
Hope you enjoy💕

“We’ll be alright “
Warnings none
The first soft notes of Fine Line drifted through Wembley, and the entire stadium seemed to fall into a hush.
Y/N stood in the pit between Anne and Gemma, her hands wrapped tightly around the barricade. She’d promised herself before the show that she’d keep it together. She knew this song. She knew what it did to her.
She only made it through the first verse.
A shaky breath escaped her, then another. Her vision blurred as tears spilled over before she could wipe them away. By the time Harry reached the chorus, she was crying so hard her shoulders trembled.
Gemma noticed first.
Without saying a word, she slipped an arm around Y/N’s shoulders, gently pulling her closer. Anne reached for her hand, rubbing comforting circles over her knuckles like she’d done countless times before.
“It’s okay, sweetheart,” Anne whispered, barely audible beneath the music. “Just let it out.”
Y/N nodded, trying to breathe, but every lyric hit somewhere deep inside her. The song wasn’t just beautiful—it unraveled her every single time. She buried her face against Gemma’s shoulder, quiet sobs turning into full, uncontrollable cries.
Neither Anne nor Gemma tried to stop her.
They simply held her.
Onstage, Harry stood beneath the warm golden lights, fingers moving effortlessly across his guitar. He’d played Fine Line hundreds of times.
But halfway through the song, something caught his eye.
His gaze drifted toward the pit.
He immediately recognized Anne’s floral blouse.
Then Gemma beside her.
And between them…
Y/N.
She was folded into them, tears streaming down her face as both his mum and sister held her close.
Harry’s fingers never stopped playing, but his heart squeezed painfully in his chest.
He knew.
He knew exactly why she was crying.
Every time she’d ever heard Fine Line, it had been the same. Quiet tears if they were alone. Full sobs if she let herself feel everything the song carried.
Seeing it from the stage was different.
Seeing Anne kiss the top of Y/N’s head while Gemma gently brushed her hair away from her face made him swallow hard.
For a split second, he had to blink a little longer than usual.
The lights hid the glassiness in his eyes.
He couldn’t walk over.
He couldn’t stop the show.
So instead, while still strumming his guitar, he looked at her for just a moment longer.
A silent I’ve got you.
Y/N happened to glance up through blurry eyes.
Their eyes met.
Harry gave the tiniest smile—soft, understanding, almost sad—and dipped his head ever so slightly before turning back toward the microphone.
It wasn’t much.
But it was enough.
Y/N pressed a hand over her mouth as fresh tears escaped, this time because she knew he’d seen her.
Gemma squeezed her tighter.
“He loves you,” she murmured with a gentle smile.
Anne nodded in agreement, keeping an arm around Y/N’s shoulders.
“He always notices.”
As the final chorus echoed through the stadium, Harry closed his eyes for a second, pouring every ounce of emotion into the last notes on his guitar.
When the song finally ended, seventy thousand people erupted into applause.
Harry looked down at the pit one more time.
Anne and Gemma were still holding Y/N, who was laughing softly through tear-streaked cheeks now, embarrassed by how much she’d cried.
Harry smiled to himself.
There she was.
Still emotional.
Still wiping her eyes.
Still exactly where she was meant to be.

Warnings none just Harry being jealous and protective
The wedding reception was in full swing. Fairy lights glowed overhead, glasses clinked together, and laughter echoed across the dance floor. Harry had been smiling all evening, catching up with old friends and celebrating one of his closest mates.
At least, he had been smiling.
From across the room, his eyes landed on you again.
You were laughing at something one of the groomsmen had said, your hand lightly resting on your champagne glass as he leaned in to tell another story. A few moments later, the band switched songs, and before Harry could make his way over, the groomsman was already offering you his hand.
You accepted with a polite smile.
Harry’s jaw tightened almost instantly.
His friends noticed the change before he even moved.
“Mate,” one of them chuckled, nudging him. “You’ve been staring over there for the last five minutes.”
“I’m not staring.”
“You definitely are.”
Harry let out a quiet sigh, running a hand through his hair. “He’s just…talking to her a lot.”
“Maybe because she’s nice?”
“Yeah,” Harry muttered. “She’s my nice.”
The teasing only made him roll his eyes harder.
Across the dance floor, you were still dancing, laughing as the upbeat song played. It wasn’t anything inappropriate—just a friendly dance—but Harry couldn’t ignore the way the groomsman seemed completely captivated by you.
When the song ended, Harry didn’t hesitate.
He crossed the room with calm, confident strides until he was standing beside you.
“There you are,” he said, smiling warmly at you before slipping an arm around your waist.
You looked up at him with a grin. “Hi.”
“I’ve been looking for you.”
The groomsman smiled politely. “She’s great company.”
Harry returned the smile, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“She is.”
There was a brief silence before the groomsman excused himself to grab another drink.
The moment he was out of earshot, you turned to Harry with an amused expression.
“You’ve got that look.”
“What look?”
“The jealous one.”
“I’m not jealous.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Okay,” he admitted after a second. “Maybe a little.”
“A little?”
“He asked you to dance twice.”
“It a wedding.”
“He laughed at everything you said.”
“You laugh at everything I say.”
“Exactly.” Harry gently squeezed your waist. “That’s my job.”
You couldn’t help laughing.
“You know I wasn’t flirting.”
“I know.” His voice softened immediately. “I trust you.”
He looked down for a moment before meeting your eyes again.
“I just don’t like seeing someone else trying so hard to get your attention.”
You reached up, fixing the collar of his suit jacket.
“You’ve already got it.”
His shoulders relaxed almost instantly.
“You sure?”
“I’m here with you, aren’t I?”
A small smile tugged at his lips.
“You are.”
“And besides,” you teased, “you’re much cuter when you aren’t glaring across a dance floor.”
“I wasn’t glaring.”
“You absolutely were.”
“I was…observing.”
“Right.”
He laughed quietly before pulling you a little closer.
“Would you dance with me?”
“I thought you’d never ask.”
As the slower song began to play, he guided you onto the dance floor, his hand resting gently against your back while yours settled on his shoulder.
“You know,” he murmured, “I’m probably being overprotective.”
“Probably.”
“But I can’t help it.”
You smiled, resting your head lightly against him.
“I don’t mind.”
Harry pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head, holding you just a little closer as the music carried the two of you through the rest of the evening.
For the first time since the reception had started, he finally stopped looking around the room.
Because the only person he wanted to pay attention to was already in his arms.

Warnings none just pure fluff
The streets of London were quieter than usual, the golden glow of the streetlights reflecting off the rain-soaked pavement. You walked hand in hand with Harry, your fingers intertwined as you wandered with no destination in mind.
“You know,” he said, glancing over with a smile that made your heart skip, “I think getting lost with you might be my favourite hobby.”
You laughed softly, nudging his shoulder. “Good thing you’re terrible with directions, then.”
He grinned, squeezing your hand a little tighter before pulling you closer as the evening breeze drifted through the city. Around you, cafés buzzed with conversation, buses rolled past, and music spilled out of open doorways, but none of it seemed to matter.
For a moment, it felt like London belonged only to the two of you.
Harry looked down at you, his expression soft. “Promise me we’ll always make time for this.”
“For getting lost?”
“For us.”
You smiled.
“I promise.”
The smell of fresh coffee drifted through the crisp London air, making you stop in your tracks.
“Harry,” you said, pointing across the street. “That café looks adorable.”
He followed your gaze before smiling. “Well, I can’t say no to coffee.”
Crossing the road together, his fingers stayed laced with yours. Every so often, his thumb brushed absentmindedly over the back of your hand, a small gesture that never failed to make you smile.
The café was warm and inviting, with fairy lights hanging in the windows and the scent of cinnamon filling the room. A short queue had already formed at the counter, so you joined the end of the line.
Harry stepped in behind you, wrapping one arm loosely around your waist.
“You know,” he murmured, resting his chin lightly on your shoulder, “you’re very distracting.”
You laughed quietly. “We’re literally just waiting for coffee.”
“Mhm,” he hummed, pressing a quick kiss to your temple. “Still distracting.”
You rolled your eyes, trying not to smile too much.
A few seconds later, he brushed another kiss against your cheek.
“Harry…
“What?”
“We’re in public.”
“So?” he replied with a grin.
Before you could answer, he leaned down and placed another gentle kiss on the top of your head, earning a laugh from you.
“You are impossible.”
“And yet,” he said, squeezing your hand, “you still like me.”
“I suppose I do.”
“You suppose?” He placed a hand dramatically over his heart. “That’s heartbreaking.”
You giggled, nudging him with your shoulder.
“I love you.”
His teasing expression softened instantly.
“I love you more.”
The barista called for the next customer, but neither of you noticed at first, too caught up in smiling at each other until someone behind you cleared their throat with an amused chuckle.
You both laughed, stepping forward to order your coffees together.
The walk home felt even quieter than before.
Each of you carried a warm takeaway cup, the gentle chatter of London fading into the background as you wandered through familiar streets. Harry kept close, his shoulder brushing yours every few steps until he eventually slipped his free hand into yours again.
“I think this might be my favourite part of the day,” he admitted.
“What? The coffee?”
He smiled, shaking his head.
“No… this.”
He lifted your joined hands slightly before bringing them to his lips for a quick kiss.
“Just being with you.”
Your heart melted a little.
When you finally reached home, Harry held the door open with a dramatic bow.
“After you.”
You laughed, stepping inside the warmth of the flat. The moment the door clicked shut behind you, the busy city seemed to disappear.
You kicked off your shoes, setting your coffee on the coffee table before wandering into the living room. Harry followed close behind, never more than a step away.
Without saying a word, he wrapped his arms around you from behind, resting his chin gently on the top of your head.
“Comfortable?” you asked with a smile.
“Very.”
“You do realise we haven’t even sat down yet?”
“I know.”
“So…?”
“I’m happy right here.”
You turned in his arms, laughing softly before stealing one quick kiss.
“Come on.”
You led him over to the sofa, curling up together beneath a soft blanket. Harry settled beside you, one arm around your shoulders while you rested your head against his chest.
The room was peaceful, filled only with the distant sound of rain tapping against the windows and the occasional clink of your coffee mugs on the table.
Harry absentmindedly traced small circles across your arm with his fingertips as you listened to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
“You know,” he whispered, “I don’t think I’ve ever felt this relaxed.”
You tilted your head to look at him.
“Me neither.”
He smiled before pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
Neither of you felt the need to say anything else.
You simply stayed there, tangled together beneath the blanket, sipping your coffee and enjoying the quiet afternoon—completely content just to be in each other’s company.
A smile spread across Harry’s face as he looked at you.
“What?” you laughed.
“Nothing.”
Before you could ask again, he leaned in, peppering your cheeks, forehead, nose, and jaw with a flurry of quick, affectionate kisses.
You burst into laughter, trying to gently push him away.
“Harry!” you giggled.
“I can’t help it,” he said with a grin, stealing one last kiss from the tip of your nose. “You’re just too kissable.”
You shook your head, smiling despite yourself, and rested your forehead against his.
“You are such a sap.”
“And you’re stuck with me.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
