a year or two ago I had an idea of a water/ghost primarina. Which instead of an opera singer it would be more like a 'wailer' (professional mourner).

I never went back to the concept though.

like a uh. something along the lines of: "It cries for those who have no one else left to mourn them."

Consider the concept of them being naturally inclined towards 'dead areas', it could be reasoned that--in some odd cases--they've never seen another 'alive animal' outside of their own.

And I think anyone would be a bit startled upon seeing something you've only ever encountered dead, moving and breathing.

You and your friend planned an escape, failed, then reunited in a completely different state and body of mind. Reading the notes from chapter 3, I can see some ways the Prototype wasn't very open to "CatNap".

I'm using this as a sign to give my two cents on Prototype and CatNap.

I believe the reason why Prototype became neglectful towards CatNap is because he's a physical representation of "you failed him. You gave up your freedom to save him after you carelessly let him get hurt. And now he's an experiment and lost his identity. If you were more careful, if you were paying attention to him, this wouldn't happen."

But also I believe Prototype has gradually became colder and neglectful towards everyone in general throughout the years. I think before and after the Hour of Joy, he was caring towards the other children and did what he could for their benefit, but as time went on, he grew colder and harsher, now only focusing on himself and Poppy.
