Hello. Favorite colors ?
hello. i gravitate towards combinations of black and red, or orange. there’s something the right tone about it that feels right. if those aren’t available, i like a nice sky blue :)

It's never too late to follow your dreams.
Who would have thought that a random inquiry would lead to an audition, that would result in me signing a one year contract with Zap Speed Racing.
I had no idea it was even possible at my age but there's an avenue for everyone if you can get your foot in the door.

"i can fix her" is always a mistake
straight men have beauty standards for men that are completely different than the beauty standards women and gay men have for men and then they get mad when they conform to the beauty standards other podcast bros set for them and women still don’t find them attractive
while you were busy arguing about phrenology on Twitter, lamenting your weak jawline and making fun of dudes who don’t go to the gym, beautiful fat polyamorous men with nerdy personalities were busy snatching up the baddest bitches in your town. c’est la vie.
There's a tiktok trend called "hear me out cakes" where you print out pictures of characters and actors that you basically have to justify wanting to fuck before taping it on a tooth pick and put it on a cake.
Most of the men who do this challenge will pick the fish from Shark Tales, Nala from Lion King (this was the one he actually had to fight for his life over), Shego and actors slightly older than 30 there was one guy who had Korra was his hear me out.
Meanwhile the girls are fucking xenomorphs, mathematical equations, the concept of Vine, Bananas in Pajamas and the Peanut M&M. One girl sprayed another girl with a water bottle because she put Bowser on cake and he was too basic.
If the trend has taught me anything is that girls will fuck literally anything as long as it has a charming personality and a sardonic smile. If you can't convince a girl to fuck you when she's got a centaur from fallout on her smash cake it has nothing to do with not having a jawline or a six pack it's because you're an insufferable human being.

once again a promising erotic story ruins the sexiness by concentrating on sex, the least sexy part of sex.
i explicitly chose not to depict the sex in New Astoria because it wouldn't add anything. the fact that any of these characters would even choose to have it with each other is the tension release
but also i absolutely cannot trust you all to be normal about the kind of sex that biomechanically enhanced women would have
so i leave it to your imaginations and ao3

SHE'S BACK!
aye, it's true she is 💕 in times like these we have to remember one critical thing:
the things we love must be more important to us than anything the people who hate us can do
without joy we have nothing; we cannot deny ourselves that
Oh hello New Astoria followers :)
I thought it'd be fun to do one of these. People either really like them or really hate them but i absolutely died thinking about what these would be for NA and it was too funny not to share.

Slides from the original pitch deck for New Astoria: Synchronous.
Our little sapphic cyberpunk thriller is all grown up 😭
The synopsis:
Curious backwater biomechanic Emory Sterlet gets the worst case of "I can fix her" anyone's ever had when she meets Ying Wu, a cold-hearted Bureau agent with a malfunctioning robotic arm.
They decide to work together to solve a murder in the neighbourhood, but find more than either of them bargained for:
Ying's arm is a military-grade superweapon.
But they're not going to get far with either mystery if they can't learn to navigate each other first.

Announcement time: We're out of stealth mode with my new project, New Astoria, and the first novel in the series "Synchronous" - a sapphic cyberpunk thriller.
While investigating a gruesome murder, cold-hearted Bureau agent Ying Wu's malfunctioning robotic arm draws the attention of a streetwise biomechanic Emory, who's about to get the worst case of "I can fix her" anyone's ever had.
In the sixty years since The Fall of the former United States, what remained of the populace clustered together in a handful of megacities, scattered across the continent. The ashes of the old world left fertile ground for a new kind of power to grow; governments and mega-corporations formed symbiotic codependent relationships, like binary stars threatening to collapse in on each other.
Ying and Emory form an uneasy alliance to find the killer, but quickly find more than they bargained for: Ying's "Synq" arm is a military superweapon far beyond the bounds of legal human augmentation, and it's not supposed to exist. This is pure crack to Emory, who can't help but to get involved further. Everyone who knows either of them seems to be able to tell this is a terrible idea, but people are who they are, and she can't look away.
"Imagine the two branches of government were Amazon and the FBI, and the only people who could do anything about it were emotionally damaged, biomechanically augmented, and thirsty for bad decisions."
But with a secret government organization that polices the mega-corporations and the street gangs involved, nothing is simple. Ying knows the corporate world, and Em knows the streets, but neither of them have any idea how to navigate the kind of intimacy that physically repairing someone creates between them. They'll need to master all three to find the truth behind the murder, and the secrets of the Synq.
It's Bridgerton-flavored in an Altered Carbon setting in the shape of a wuxia like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

PMS, burnout, and caffeination
it's a strange thing to go from experiencing no PMS ever to all of a sudden being brutalized by it
it's not that i didn't believe people's experiences of it - of course i did. but good lord experiencing it in first person is beyond anything i'd imagined
sitting on the couch crying, and laughing about how i'm crying, about literally nothing, but also still definitely crying, is a god-forsaken experience
i saw an instagram video last week where a woman's PMS showed up as another character to tell her things and she's like oh my god i forgot thank you so much for telling me. and it's all shit like 'you are built like mike wazowski and nobody likes you and also you're a terrible person who is doomed for failure' and im like damn that sounds like it sucks haha
this is just like the time i saw a radio program on anxiety and thought 'damn that sounds like it sucks' when i definitely already had anxiety
i've definitely had this before and just not realized that as my body has been changing .... this is just how things are now. also shoutout to my endo who accidentally put me into menopause earlier in the year, fuck you buddy
the cost of doing business
i am an adult. as long as i can remember being an adult i've pondered the ethical cost of having children. not in the abstract, reproduction sense. the 'me, having a child' sense. and every time i weighed on it with any serious consideration, i always arrived at the same conclusion:
my existence has been a nightmare from which i cannot wake, and i could not bear the thought of cursing another being by giving it one that, genetically, statistically speaking, it is likely to be like mine
"but christina", people say, "given that you understand the nature of the beast, and your family did not and thus did not prepare you for the challenges you would face, and your investment in teaching young people to handle challenges, doesn't that make you ideal for the task?"
yeah, it does. if the task were compulsory, i'd be the most qualified for that. but it isn't, is it? it's optional. given the possibility of not facing that at all, it seems obvious then that simply being best equipped to handle it does not mean i should force someone to
and fuck, i wouldn't wish this hell on anyone
