“never kill yourself” is such a funny phrase to me that i think it’s accidently started working. its like an affrimation. say ‘never kill yourself’ enough times as a joke and maybe you won’t try to kill yourself over minor inconviences anymore
i made this image for the express purpose of this
i am back, i took a break to decompress from personal stuff. i will be getting back to messages now
The governments, the people in power keep supporting the genocide. Money, weapon, bullets, flow uninteruppted to Israel. Even with pushback, they are slow to action. They will not fight this. We know Israel would collapse without support. We know Palestine was taken from the Palestinians to create the colony that Israel is. We know the genocide will continue if we do not fight. Then, how dare we stay in inaction?
I need you to act. Do not find yourself positing your posting, your internet presence, as advocacy, as action. I need you, Palestinians need you to act, in meaningful ways, in the ways you can, for them. I need you to fight for the end of the genocide.
Nader has survived the genocide. He has lived for years through bombs, hunger, and the inaction of world leaders. But he needs our help. Donations have dried up, lately. We must not stop caring about Palestine. We must not stop caring about Nader.
Help my friend.
Today was the day for my high school graduation exam results, but unfortunately, I couldn't get them because of the war. I tried my best to submit them, but unfortunately, I couldn't. I missed three exams and couldn't take them. I barely survived the war. I hope you will stand by me so I can leave Gaza and continue my studies outside of Gaza. Please donate to us. Please help me.
Please donate! Even now Nader is doing his best to keep going through the crisis in Gaza, and he needs all the support he can get!
please take a moment to give nader even just a single dollar, if you arent already considering giving more!! everything adds up. posts like this get tens of thousands of reblogs and raise nothing comparable to that in terms of real, material money, which is what nader desperately needs more than a number on a screen. please find it in yourself to give away that dollar you found in an old pant pocket and didnt even know you had, anything at all. it doesnt need to be a fortune to help out tremendously💜
Please help Nader so he can complete his education. He and his family haven't received any donations for over a day. Please donate now.
Nader deserves to be well and to complete his education, just like any other young man who wants to pursue his dreams. But this war has destroyed all his hopes. Please donate to him now.
Nader deserves all the best. He deserves a chance to live and build a new life with his family, complete his studies, and receive treatment for his father's cancer. Please save some money so that Nader can be well.
We must all stand by Nader. Please don't ignore him. Donate to him; every little helps. If everyone donates at least $1 or $5 (which is what GofundMe allows), please donate whatever you can.
please help this young person and his loved ones survive genocide!
His family has been verified and can be found at #4 on the @gazavetters list!
I dream of completing my studies, which I've been deprived of for two years, and I haven't been able to get a final grade. Twelve years of my life have been wasted because of this war. Please don't let me lose hope, and please donate to me.
🇨🇺URGENT: Donate now to Hurricane Melissa relief!
Hurricane Melissa has caused widespread damage in Cuba. We are raising $50,000 to send essential food, clean drinking water, and supplies to the areas affected by the hurricane—and we need your help! The time is now to stand in solidarity with our Cuban neighbors.
This hurricane is a catastrophic event that has shredded infrastructure and left entire communities in dire conditions. But this natural disaster is amplified exponentially by the U.S. blockade, which chokes the Cuban economy, prevents access to essential goods, medicines and materials needed for recovery.
Imagine if your neighbor's home was not only destroyed by a storm but also actively prevented from receiving help by outside forces. Would you stand by? Donate now!

The Sudan Doctors Network accused fighters from the Rapid Support Forces of “cold-bloodedly” killing everyone inside the hospital.
What Is Happening In Sudan Right Now? World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a statement that about 460 patients and their companions were reportedly killed at the Saudi Maternity Hospital in el-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur. He said the WHO was “appalled and deeply shocked” by reports of mass executions inside the facility. The Sudan Doctors Network, a medical group tracking the conflict, said RSF fighters “cold-bloodedly killed everyone they found inside the hospital,” including patients, family members and staff.

The whole world is watching, yet we are the ones paying the price. Even major technology companies like Microsoft have now begun to acknowledge the violations committed against us and have shut down services that were being used to spy on people in Gaza. But these decisions came only after unbearable suffering was inflicted upon us. My family and I are still here, living through fear, bombardment, starvation, and surveillance, with no shelter and no safety.
I am writing to you from the heart of this tragedy, from amidst the rubble and flames. Please, help me save my family and my children from this hell. Your donation is not just a number—it is an entire life saved from daily death. Please, do not stop. You are our only hope. Donate here
agonizing over all the time you wasted or lost is useless. it’s gone now. you survived in the only way you knew how. doesn’t your survival deserve some recognition too?
like toni morrison said, “sometimes you don't survive whole, you just survive in part. but the grandeur of life is that attempt. it’s not about that solution. it is about being as fearless as one can, and behaving as beautifully as one can, under completely impossible circumstances.”
I feel so afraid for my friends in Gaza.
Israel is forcibly displacing everyone in the north of the Gaza strip, so everyone who has the ability is fleeing south. Today I check the news and read: "At least 30 Palestinians, including children, have been killed in Israeli military strikes across central and southern Gaza since dawn."
The Israeli military perpetrated a targeted strike of a building in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip! Bombing a refugee camp.
There was a house sheltering displaced people in the central Gaza Strip, and Israelis targeted this house in an air strike. Many are missing, and at least eleven of the martyred dead were taken to a nearby hospital, several of whom were children.
There is nowhere that's safe. They force people to move to this area and that area, hauling all of their possessions, and they kill them in every place.
My wife, @cannilyuncanny, is hosting the GoFundMe campaign for Mahrah's family in Gaza (who have been vetted by @90-ghost and shared by fairuzfan).
She sent a transfer this morning with funds raised last week. I want to sincerely thank everyone who is donating, and I want to confirm for you that these funds are reaching her.
We are in a Signal group chat with both Mahrah (who is currently in Northern Gaza with her family) and her brother Mahmoud (who is in Egypt, and is working very hard to fundraise for his family in Gaza).
Mahrah and Mahmoud run the blogs @mahrahpalestine and @palestinian95.
We are friends. We fundraise together, but we also share stories of our past cats, and we check in on each other. They are such kind, wonderful people.
Mahmoud told us this morning:
"My family is still in northern Gaza, surrounded by tanks. They managed to move from the place where they were staying for the fourth time with difficulty under tank attacks and missiles from aircraft. My brother went to Deir al-Balah to find a place to set up tents there. They couldn't find any empty space and there is a house to rent, but it requires a lot of money, which is difficult for us to provide, given that transportation requires thousands of dollars."
It is extremely scary that Mahrah and her family are in northern Gaza, an area currently being targeted brutally to force everyone south. It has been harder to reach her lately, because these continuous attacks are forcing them to move over and over to survive.
I have heard from many in Gaza that there are no more spaces to set up tents in the area where they are being displaced. This is a terrifying reality that families are facing. The only other choice is to rent space in a house, but this costs a great deal.
They are planning to leave the north permanently in the coming days, fearing the intensified bombing.
Please help them to raise enough funds for rent somewhere in the south of Gaza. They need a place to bring their belongings where they can rest.
🆘🆘Ahumanitarian appeal from a pregnant mother from Gaza
"I am a Palestinian mother of two and a pregnant woman from Gaza. I have been living under extremely harsh conditions for weeks due to the war, blockade, and famine. I haven't eaten for three days, and I give everything I receive from the food banks to my young children, who cannot tolerate hunger like me.
I am six months pregnant and suffer from severe anemia (hemoglobin 9.5). Today, I feel extremely weak, dizzy, short of breath, and unable to move.
Every day, I fear losing my fetus or losing consciousness in front of my children, and there is no one to help me.
I appeal to every compassionate heart, every living conscience, to provide me with any food, medicine, or medical support to save me, my fetus, and my children.

The psychiatrist Carol Liebermann claims that student protests are actually misdirected “rage” about the COVID-19 pandemic. The psychologist Jennifer Gittleman suggests the youth are seeking “comfort” after they were “denied socialization at a key point in their lives”. This continues a long tradition of pundits and so-called experts trying to silence protest by hand-waving away activists as too emotional, and not logical enough. In 1971, columnists bemoaned the “sudden outbreak of anti-war emotionalism”. In 1965, Irving Kristol speculated that counterculture activism was “not merely about Vietnam, or civil rights…” He accused students of chasing “a sense of personal power” because they were “bored”. Today, Lieberman seeks to psychoanalyze pro-Palestine activists without hearing what they have to say. She addresses a — very real — collective trauma instead of treating students as rational adults. In her eyes, activists are hysterical, placing emotion over reason. I do get emotional when I read about dead humanitarian aid workers. I do get emotional when I see soldiers play with the underwear left behind by refugees. I do get emotional when I see the most powerful nation in the world use my tax dollars to carpet bomb orphans. I’m not ashamed of that. I don’t think it gets in the way of logic. But more to the point — if logic gets in the way of love, then there is no reason to give it your attention. The universal love for your fellow humans has to be more important to you. Otherwise, what are we doing here?

If you learned anything from my article, please consider donating to the Alanqar family. They've been vetted (@gazavetters number 644) and I have personally spoken to them via Zoom. They are who they say they are -- and they're raising children in a famine
Just two days ago, the IPC declared Gaza in a state of official famine (UN-backed).
My four children – one of them still an infant – and I nearly starved to death, if not for the help of brave and compassionate people like you.
But today we are still standing on the edge... With your donations we can survive, and with your shares our voices can be heard. Together, you can help keep four children alive who are still clinging to life. Stay with us. Stand by us. Every share, every donation, is an act of saving lives.
"According to the World Food Programme, 100 percent of people in Gaza now suffer acute levels of food insecurity, with all children aged below five years facing acute malnutrition. Famine has been officially announced... Amnesty International calls the Israeli siege of Gaza “collective punishment” and “a war crime”. The Geneva Conventions explicitly prohibit collective punishment and forced starvation. And so, I cannot help but ask: Where is the world in all of this? How can an entire planet watch two million people be starved, bombed, and stripped of dignity, and still do nothing? This silence is heavy; it crushes the spirit as much as hunger does. It tells us that our suffering is acceptable, that our lives can fade away without consequence."
-- Shoug Mukhaimar, Palestinian writer based in Gaza, published 24 Aug 2025.
What does it mean to you, reader who is not in Gaza, that 100% of people in Gaza suffer acute food insecurity? What does it mean to you that Israelis are actively in the process of occupying 100% of Gaza?
What do such totalizing percentages mean? Do they fill you with urgency or do you read them and give yourself permission to lose hope?
The people of Gaza are having their ability to hope repeatedly punished and destroyed.
In the piece I quoted above, Mukhaimar writes:
"I believe these repeated bouts of ceasefire headlines are not unintentional — they are another form of punishment for the people of Gaza. Another form of torture. We are bombed, starved, displaced and then the news finishes us off. Hope is dangled in front of us, only to be ripped away, leaving us weaker each time. It is a deliberate, systematic policy aimed to wear off a defenceless population. It is designed to break our spirit, to make us live in constant uncertainty, to strip us of the basic human right to hope for tomorrow. This cycle – hope raised then shattered – leaves deeper scars than starvation."
I really feel that to have solidarity with the people of Gaza in this moment is to do everything in our ability to sustain hope, to create a stable hope that is not repeatedly ripped away.

Silence is crushing people's spirits. We must continue to speak out loudly in support of Palestinian survival and liberation. Please continue to share the words, stories, and fundraisers of Palestinians in Gaza.

Four people have been shot in Gaza seeking aid just today.
There is a famine.
The Israeli occupation threatens to occupy the entire Gaza Strip.
We cannot look away.
