Potatoes! Variety: Rocket (first earlies)

Started chitting on the bathroom window 6th March

Planted out 4th April (which should have been past the last frost date but some freezing temperature were forecast, so covered with fleece)

Progress from 2nd May

First harvest on the 17th July (tops were browning and being eaten by bugs)

Final harvest 13th August! (Tops were completely dead and dried out)

Easily over 10kg of harvest ❤️🥔

My gorgeous tomato plants, absolutely loaded with fruit, now we just wait for them to ripen 🤩🍅

Planted out these tiny little seedling rows of purple sprouting broccoli, ‘Detroit’ beetroot and some carrots in April.

🥕The carrots are all harvested now in July and didn’t produce amazingly, I think they need some much loftier soil to grow nicely.

🥦As of July, the broccoli is getting big and attracting moths and caterpillars but no heads of broccoli yet.

💜And here’s my first harvest of beetroot in June! Pulled up a few smaller bulbs to thin them out but lots more big ones to come

Planted up three strawberry plants in a big pot, had flowers in may and fruit in June 🍓

We got more strawberry plants and planted them in this gorgeous pot 🍓 we’ve been picking loads of fruit ever since, including this massive one!!

Planted all my summer squash seeds together and here’s the progress of the courgette! Sprouted so quickly and have been putting on size ever since.

This is the first time I’ve managed to get female flowers and fruit! Some small ones initially grew and withered before getting any bigger.

Had a few issues with powdery mildew on the leaves but consistent watering and cutting off effected leaves seems to be helping

Baby Tank for scale 💚

Got these three varieties of tomatoes from the supermarket. A roma type, a medium type and a huge slicing type 🍅 Just over two months later, they’re huge! The supersteak has flowers but no fruits as of yet, unlike the other two

Shirley tomatoes have gotten massive and we finally have some fruit set on the supersteak 🤩 Just three weeks later!

Planted some spring onion seeds 7/4/20 and here’s how the largest ones look at the end of June! There’s White Lisbon and De Bartletta (large ones) varieties all in one stone trough

I’m thinning them out so the ones that are left have more room to grow 🧅

Snipped some woody herbs from the garden to tie in little bundles, hang and dry

Giving my pretty airplant a good bath and thought the adansonii would appreciate the extra humidity too 🐳 14/3/20

She’s growing a baby! (26/5/20) I think tillsandia are monocarpic so after producing this baby she will slowly die 😔 but hopefully I can keep her happy until then

Planted carrot, leeks and beetroot seeds, 21/3/20

75 days later and the carrots and beetroot are bulbing up! I don’t think the leeks made it because these poor seedling had to put up with some neglect over the Easter holiday 😅

I took some cuttings from a willow tree outside my window and they weren’t kidding when they said it’s good at rooting! This is after just two weeks of putting them in water and roots and new shoots have started started to grow 🌱

I don’t ever tip out all the water, just top it up as they drink up the water (surprisingly quickly)

Got this pretty pepperomia hope 🐛 hopefully it grows into a lovely long string of succulent padded leaves. I accidentally broke off a bit of its stem so repotted the whole thing into a bigger pot and stuck the loose end in there too.

It’s grown all over the place! Might need to move it to a hanging pot to give the trailing bits more room 🐸

Got this little pup as a swap, still not entirely sure on what variety it is though 😬 My best guess is Echeveria Rundelli

It’s grown so much and is even giving me babies 🤩 this one definitely needs the most light out of all my succulents

One of my first little jade props, moving onto a bigger home 👶🏻 Now in the pot it’s mumma moved out of! Looking very purple from all the light exposure of summer but that will hopefully help it grow fast 🌞 30/5/18

Growing big and strong, so lovely to see its progress ☘️ if you keep upsizing it’s pot, this beautiful little jade plant grows so fast!

My gorgeous marble queen pothos 🥰 this lacquered terracotta pot is perfect and she’s putting out new leaves all through winter

I got these super cute little bear paw succulents 🐻 Cotyledon tomentosa 🐻 Took them out of this one little pot and separated them out into two bigger ones

Repotting these so late in the year was a bad idea 😰 they’re getting leggy and stretching for light. So I brought them to work hoping the office lights would help 🤞🏼
