GENESIS is a bold, stylized animated epic that pushes the boundaries of Biblical storytelling for an older audience.

We’ve been working on this animated project called Genesis. it’s based on the Biblical story of Noah and his family, paralleling the time of Adam and Eve! But not in a “kids Sunday school cartoon” way. we’re aiming for something more cinematic and grounded, and more for older teens / adults. p-13 to rated R maybe!

Kickstarter goes live May 5th!!!!!

When people hear “animated bible project” they usually picture something gentle and family-friendly, which is totally fine, but that’s just not the lane we’re in. these stories are intense and complicated and honestly kind of wild, and we’re interested in what it looks like to take them seriously through animation.

We’re launching a kickstarter on may 5th to fund a short proof-of-concept animated teaser. The idea isn’t “make the whole movie right now,” it’s to make a really solid short that shows the tone, look, and vibe of what this project could become if it grows into something bigger later.

We hope to have it in a 3D-2D style that will reflect modern animation tastes, but will certainly try to make it feel like all it's own!

This isn’t backed by a studio. it’s just us trying to make something ambitious and seeing if there’s enough interest to keep pushing it forward. if this sounds like your thing, following along, reblogging, or checking out the kickstarter pre launch page sign-up when it goes live genuinely helps a lot!!!

The basic premise is him pretending to be a human and traveling around the physical world throughout the many years of his long life. He both causes problems on purpose and solves problems on accident.

(Based his outfit on the Water Tribe due to his connections to them. Seriously, every story he's in or mentioned connects back to them in some way.)
