I have a question from traveling the void of the sea’s of Au’s, how many…test subjects has Scylla gathered in her time and how many lasted to see the results.
Dang, first ask and we're already asking the real questions--
Being open lore, I hesitate putting a "hard" number onto this, though I doubt that we'd ever reach that number, haha.
Anyway, there's a number of factors to this: how many were there from before Scylla went off her rocker, how many were permitted to go home before she stopped letting them go, how many Jellsica managed to free after that, and the itsy bitsy handful that managed to escape.
Initially I'd say that Scylla had about 100 or so patients, most of which were Octarians that were made in the lab, and only knew that from "birth."
From there she got more patients through her twisted ways, kidnapping and tricking and all that. Although she can't get a whole mess at one time without raising too much suspicion, so in the six years she was making mutations, she amassed another 100-200 or so.
As for how many survived... I would say that most of them survived, for better or worse. Maybe about 10% died during the procedure, though Scylla didn’t feel any grief--just frustration that they’d dare die under her unmatched skills.Â
Another 20% or so had to go into stasis for being unstable, with maybe 5% of that group permanently in stasis because they’re simply too unstable.Â
Additionally, there are the ones Scylla used just for parts. They were probably not meant to be “patients” in the first place. Terrible.Â
There’s also the fact that a few patients managed to... Well, end themselves while in the lab. A difficult task given the fact that they’re always under supervision, but that’s still a thing...
Anyway, I hope that answers your question!
