Tawakkul is not the absence of effort, nor is it a denial of cause and consequence. It is the state in which the servant fulfills every obligation with sincerity and care, while the heart remains detached from the outcome. One acts, plans, and strives, yet does not cling to results, knowing that what is decreed by Allāh سبحانه وتعالى is filled with hikmah and far beyond human perception. When this understanding settles in the heart, anxiety gives way to tranquility.

اللهم ارزقنا صدق التوكل عليك، وطمأنينة القلوب بحسن تدبيرك

O Allāh, grant us true reliance upon You, and fill our hearts with tranquility through the beauty of Your perfect planning.
