Jester takes a cookie and looks at it, bemused. “You…. know how to bake?” She asks.
“I mean, duh?” says Nott. “Jester I used to be a housewife-”
Jester’s hands slam down on Nott’s shoulders as Jester glares at her. “You’ve known how to bake this whole time-” Jester begins to tear up, “-and you’ve never baked anything for me!?!”
Jester and Nott start yelling over each other, and Caduceus rounds the corner. “All right, what’s the commotion?” He says.
Jester continues yelling, ignoring him. He comes up behind her, takes the cookie from her hand, and pops it in her mouth.
Jester pauses, taking a bite. “… holy fucking shit, that’s a good cookie.” She says.
Nott hugs Jester around the waist. “I really am sorry Jester. Please forgive me?”
“Aw, of course, I will Nott! … After like, five more batches.”
Nott smiles. “Jester, you saved my soul with a cupcake once. I’ll make you as much as you-”
She pauses as she notices Jester’s devious expression. “ -want…” she finishes hesitantly.
A little later, Beau and Caleb come home and walk into the kitchen. “hey we’re back! What smells-” Beau pauses. “Okay what… What’s going on here?”
“A Lesson In moderation, “ Caduceus says. He sits at the kitchen table, which is piled with all kinds of baked goods - cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, and lots of cupcakes. Baking supplies and wrappers are strewn around the table. Jester lies on the floor gripping her stomach and moaning as Nott strokes her hair. “I’m so sorry Jessie….” End description.]
