Action: Greet the Newborn Sun
As the Sun rises today from the longest night, it begins its return to strength through the year. The dark days are not over, but they are becoming brighter as time goes on. Greet the newborn sun with hope and joy, for there is much to do in the greater light of the day.
May the sun melt the ice,
May the thrall of the dark fall away,
And may Hope return to the folk.

Sometimes, a rune shows up unexpectedly. Today was one of those days.
I was doing the thing you do when the sun rises on a fresh snow: I was shoveling it off my driveway and the bike path that runs next to my house. It was cold (2° F / -16.5° C when I started), and I was pretty ready to be done.
I looked down, and there was a bit of joy staring me in the face. I smiled, snapped a pic, and finished up. After pulling the icicles off my beard (literally), I had a laugh at the appearance of this tune on the driveway, and heated up some soup.
A simple prayer for the full moon, suitable for any time of the year.
Man, my new camera takes awesome zoomed shots. ;)

Today, after a day of crazy weather, this double rainbow appeared outside the Shop. It was a beautiful moment of communitas and connection with several folks who poured out of the restaurant next door to take photos with us.

Also… I’m allergic to dairy, can i use vegan cheese? Lol >.>
Not in the grimoires, but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be!
As to an allergy (or even a vegan preference), here’s what my educated-as-a-magician self says: “the spell says ‘cheese,’ but makes no mention of the type. As a result, you can use whatever thing-called-cheese you wish!"
