You seem pretty dead for a boy who loves to live
sitting in class listening to some weird shy boy recite poetry and turning your head to see if your friend also finds this hilarious just to see homotron 3000 looking at him like:
OMG!! Chapter 7 of my anderperry fic, 11 Minutes After Death, is out just in time for pride month!!! I actually didn't plan that, I got so into writing chapter 6 that I also just wrote chapter 7 in a matter of days. Sweeeet.
Heres a short excerpt for anyone interested!
***
âTonight was fun.â Todd said at last, after their laughter died out. He sat up and looked at nothing in particular. âI had a lot of fun with you.â
Neil sat up, too, facing Todd. âIâm glad. Yâknow, I think youâd make a great Hermia if you really tried.â
The final daylight was fading fast, hardly brushing Toddâs hair now. It was dark enough that nobody from the school would see.Â
âOh, ha-ha. I meant it. I had fun.â
Neil reached out to touch Toddâs hair. The ends were still golden with sunlight and they felt like silk.
âYeah, I know. Iâm just teasing.â
Neil felt a hand on his thigh.Â
âWe should head back soon. Hagerâs gonna make his rounds, and even if you can afford to be late, we arenât all doing evening rehearsals.â
Neil stared at Toddâs lips. He wondered what theyâd taste like.
âProbably, yeah. We have time, though. A few minutes.â
He watched his hand reach out to cup Toddâs face. Todd smiled into it, moving closer.Â
âYâknow, Neil, thereâs still light outâŠâ
He pulled Todd closer.
âNobodyâs watching.â

Terrible awful cliffhanger, I know >.<
If that's cute or interesting or epic, please hop on ao3 and give it a read! It's always nice to know when people go out and read your work :)
Thank you, 3 readers, and I shall see you in the next (very sad) one
After weeks and weeks, chapter 6 of my anderperry fic is done!! 5 to go :)
The fic name is 11 Minutes After Death by chronicmusicnerd on ao3, and here's a little excerpt from the chapter :0 (Without spoilers ofc)
***
As he and Todd sat there, Neil eating his dinner and Todd reading a book, the moon began to rise and it lit their dorm through the open window. Neil began to feel a tangible tension in the room, with the moonlight casting a blue glow over his skin. He was sure it lit Todd the same way. He was willing to bet that the light would make Toddâs hair glow a silvery-golden colour, like some princess from a fairytale.Â
He refrained from turning around, because he knew if he saw Todd in the moonlight, he wouldnât be able to stop himself from staring. Minutes continued to pass, and as the amount of food on his plate began to diminish, Neil began to think. About Todd, of course.Â
He hadnât ever really been interested in romance. The idea of settling down forever with some woman never appealed to him. He didnât know what kind of person he would even want to date, anyway. Looks werenât the matter to him, but he had also never found anyone âattractive,â either.Â
I guess, until now. Neil turned around in his chair and looked at Todd, really looked at Todd. He was nose-deep into his book, his moonlit hair swept out of his eyes, and he just looked so soft. He got so caught up in looking at him that he didnât process when Todd said, still in his book,
âI can feel you staring, Neil.â

Hopefully this tickled your fancy, and I'd love for more people to see the work! Thank you, 3 readers :)
reminding myself that 7 kudos is 7 different people who have read my story and actually liked it
and idk about you but if 7 people came up to me in real life and said âhey we really liked your writingâ i would just cry on the spot
AHHH I FINALLY GOT CH5 DONE
After 3 months of theatre and 10 shows, I finally got back to 11 Minutes After Death, and ch. 5 is longer (and cuter imo) and it's finallyyy on ao3.
I'll be putting in my personal favourite excerpt from the end of the chapter, so if you aren't a fan of 'spoilers' (it doesn't spoil much but) than I encourage you to go read the whole thing hehehe
Anywho, here's the excerpt from Ch. 5 - Poetry
------
âYou know what my dad called me when I was little?â
Toddâs voice shook Neil out of his stupor, and Neil shook his head no.
ââFive ninety-eight.â Thatâs what all the chemicals in the human body would be worth if you bottled them up raw and sold them. He said that was all Iâd ever be worth unless I worked everyday to be worth more. âFive ninety-eight.ââ
âTodd, thatâs-â
âWhen I was little, I thought all parents automatically loved their kids. Thatâs what my teachers told me. Thatâs what I read in the books they gave me. Thatâs what I believed. My parents mightâve loved my brother, but they didnât love me.â
Neil grappled for something, anything to say, but came up with nothing. He stared helplessly at Todd, who just sighed.Â
âIâm sorry, I donât know why I said that.â
âTodd, donât be sorry, none of it was your fault. Thatâs on your dad.â
âI know, but sometimes the rational part of me doesnât win against the irrational part of me.â
âYouâre worth a lot more than you think. And even if no one else says it, you matter.â
Todd smiled. âThanks, Neil.â
Finally, the silence between them was comfortable. Neil scootched in closer to Todd, who had started to blow hot air into his hands. Todd gratefully nestled into Neilâs shoulder and Neil took his hands into his own to warm them up.Â
âYou matter a lot.â
He started tracing the letters into Toddâs palm.
âYouâll always matter, no matter what.â
Todd began to giggle. âAs youâve said.â
âNo, Iâm serious. You matter. To a lot of people. I want you to understand that.â
âWell, go on, tell me. To whom do I matter?â Todd asked playfully.
Neil blushed and turned away, glad the darkness concealed the pink in his cheeks. He kept Toddâs hands in his own.
âTo me.â
------
And that's all, folks! See you in my next chapter :]
the deleted those scenes because they knew it would make the movie too gay
When you are brutally losing at chess implore your opponent to look inwards its called the little pony gambit
Nothing actually makes me more emotional than remembering that Neil and Charlie were BEST FRIENDS. Like what do you mean Charlie had to tell all his friends that his BEST FRIEND is dead. What do you mean Neil called out to Charlie by name telling him he got cast as Puck. What do you mean Charlie was the ONLY person to try and reason with Mr. Perry after the play. What do you mean???????
i made another one instead of studying :)
WOOHOO!! Ch4 is officially done and posted to ao3!!
Thank u for your patience, 3 readers, and let me know your thoughts :)
I'm going to be taking a hiatus from writing for a bit to focus further on my extracurriculars (more info in end notes of fic) but I will return because this fic WILL be finished.
I'll try and post updates here, and I'm considering uploading the fic here on tumblr, so do let me know if that interests u!!
Until next time, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight :)
We don't read and write fanfic because it's cute, we read and write fanfiction because we are members of the human race, and the human race is filled with passion.
"Neil Perry and Todd Anderson would have fallen in love if they had more time" i say into the mic. The crowd boos as I begin to walk off in shame. Suddenly, a voice in the crowd speaks up from the back of the room. âSheâs right" they say. The spotlight catches the voice and there he is. Robert Sean Leonard.
Ok I gotta stop setting deadlines for myself for this fic bcus the SECOND I do something comes up and wrecks it đđ
HOWEVER this time the delay is super great news and that super great news is I was cast as the lead in my schoolâs musical!!
Unfortunately this will take a major hit on my already unproductive productivity so uh⊠sorry đđ
New deadline is pre-2026 for ch4 guys trusttt me Iâll be super locked in over my Christmas break (dont trust me this chapter is rlly wringing me like a wet towel)
Thanks for being patient, 3 readers!! <3
In case it's not common, reading is a part of your job as a writer.
Not every reader is a writer, but every writer MUST be a reader. Reading inspires you, motivates you, and keeps your creativity flowing. Make sure to read more than you write.

it's the dead poet's annual holiday reunion and neil overhears charlie telling someone over the landline "yeah, i'm just visiting some family in vermont" and when he hangs up neil jumps into view and goes "you called us your family you called us your family" in a sing-song voice
au where neil actually fucking sucks at acting so he doesn't get cast in the play. and todd asks him how the audition went and he just says "i was bad, i was really bad" and then he looks straight at the camera and shoots himself
